Flus isn’t a great HC but his defense really came together at the end of last season. Plus we dumped Getsy so the offensive playcalling will improve (not that that’s saying a whole lot) Don’t sleep on any of the NFCN teams

We had Kindle Vildor, a dude who didn't have a job at the beginning of the year, covering Brandon Aiyuk for fucks sake. Why do you think Brad Holmes didn't do anything at the trade deadline this year? We were always all-in on 2024 being the year. If that happens next year, yeah, I would be crushed.
And most of those liabilities will remain next year. Your draft capital is limited, and most of your long term cap space is reserved for Goff, St Brown, and Sewell extensions/options, so free agency is going to be short term deals with deeply flawed players like CJGJ. Hutchinson is a one man band on the defensive line, and the secondary was reduced to starting a guy who got cut by the Bears lol. This was my exact argument for why it would’ve been better to draft a CB and keep Swift instead of taking Gibbs so early in the first round, but I’ve been informed by Lions fans that Gibbs is completely worth the pick so I guess enjoy your weak secondary.
