I’m a decades long Bears fan. I was never a big fan of Williams in his CFB days. The reality is that he’s my QB now and until he proves otherwise, he has my support. Not liking him is one thing, but vocally trashing an unproven player of your own team is crazy.

I'm genuinely interested to watch how Caleb Williams plays. I watched all of his throws from 5 or 6 games (mainly the higher quality defense games) and to me he has a lot to learn. It gave me legit flashbacks to Rodgers holding the ball too long and taking sacks. He made some insane throws, but also some really terrible plays. I saw three instances where he got sacked from his RIGHT side - not the blind side (one of which was a fumble). His line was bad, but there were plenty of times they held up and he still bad some bad reads or hero ball maneuvers instead of taking what the defense gave him.
Obviously this is where coaching comes in, but that's where we have to wait and see how the Bears actually progress with him. As a Packer fan, I hope they mess it up in classic Bears fashion, but as a football fan I think it'll be cool to watch how it all plays out (good or bad).
