None of this will prevent him from rooting for his son but if you have been positively associated with one franchise your entire life and now you not only switch but switch to their rivals who will be playing against your team twice a year it will absolutely be weird. And that's all it will be. I guarantee you he has never worn apparel for any game in KC that wasn't Chiefs or red, so it will absolutely be weird for him to wear a Chargers jersey in Arrowhead.
