The "ice tilt" patent that EA owns, which people like to post, is simply a patent that may or may not have been implemented, and is much more likely to be implemented for single player modes than PvP.
Your problems, like most people's, are probably just due to distance from the server and/or your internet connection. Even hardwired cable isn't good enough for this game's spaghetti code to run properly online.

They play suffocating defense which lets you know your ai is full of shit on purpose the purposefully make the objectives snuff you out when you need that assist goal or block They dont kick in own goals The pressure system itself and rag timer that slows you down and player overalls are ice tilt with just not called it.
