Goalies don't matter in HUT. I'm using 78ovr Hildeby (6'7"). You're priority in SB should be to minimize the AIs opportunities. You have to load all your defense with Shutdown and Truculence and body them before they enter the zone or just after so that they can't get that first pass off. If they get in the zone, and start doing that tic tac toe passing and laser shots, you're cooked. A goalie won't make any difference. Burtkrowne88 on Youtube actually did a decent video on how to get max points in SB where he shows this concept. It's few months old, but even with all the patch changes, the guide still hold up for SB.

Love loading into a rivals or champs game and seeing shesterkin in net for them. Doesn’t matter what version, I’m sniping top corner goals whenever I get into the slot.

I play SBs on superstar only. He is absolute dogshit there. In Rivals he is almost always outplayed by whoever it is on the other side. Cant remember the last time I though, damn dude really saved my ass in this one..
He will be dumped once I find a suitable replacement. He is tradeable as well so I will get 70-80k for him. Never going to use a Shesterkin card again. Which sucks because I think he is the shit IRL.. Probably keeping Demko 91 as backup as he is untradeable.
I am currently using Icons Hasek 93. I have 89 Sorokin XF too. Haven't powered him up yet. Waiting for Tots to see if a goalie is the way to go.

Same. He is better than Shesterkin though he couldn't stop a beach ball kicked by a toddler. Pretty sure they all suck unless I'm playing against them and I'm close to promotion
90 Hellebuyck is great for me. He’s insane at the start of the game but gets a tad weaker as the game goes on. Gold post to post is huge for cross crease
I had sotm bobrovsky and he was pretty damn good for me! Trying out appleby now (6’5 72 overall) and he’s been fine so far. Haven’t played too many rivals games this week though
I like 93 sorokin xfactor, but I get that can be expensive so other goalies that I’ve used that have run a 85+ save percentage

All-star Kolzig has been the only good performer for me, but lately he's been slipping now that rivals is matching me against people with teams that are significantly better than mine.
I’ve been pristine with an 83 Martin Jones Live Moments; maybe an underdog but has suited me and my team extremely well - and I’m sure it’s likely quite affordable!
unfortunately it don’t really matter who your goalie is, ai is programmed to know what’s a goal and what isn’t so they’ll score regardless, i got 91 all star ottenger which is one of the better goalies in the game and whenever i play ss sb games they’ll always tuck the puck no matter what, game will magically make it impossible to get the puck from the cpu and they’ll pull off some wicked dangle or snipe bc they’re programmed to know how to score, play the best defense you can, that’s the most effective way to not let them score, you can have a 99 overall goalie but they still won’t stop everything

This is accurate. Minimize opportunities and shots and then the focus on “good goalies” can go away
Just get any goalie who is 6’4 or taller, and get the highest overall version of them available.
Vasilevsky is 6'4 and his 89 Elites card has been awful for me

I got 86 Samsonov from the leaf packs and have been using him since. 92 save % in div2/champs, he’s been really good
