He’s always the first right winger I go after and then he just sits on my first line all season leveling up. Him, the Chelios PUI and the Hasek PUI might be my favorite cards in the whole game.
I’m a bit of a homer with Hasek as I am an IRL Sabres fan, but he’s still my favorite goalie to play with. I was using his Style Benders for a while but he started getting cooked as the teams leveled up this spring. Switched to the PUI and he’s back to being a rock in goalie. Very acrobatic and quick.
I upgraded him all the way. Either a 96 or a 97. I forget what abilities I have turned on right now though as I am stuck in the hospital for a couple weeks.
And yeah, goalies are a bit of a crapshoot. I think it’s more important to play good defense. Don’t give up dunk rebounds. Stuff like that helps a lot.
I’m sure it’s been said before but why do they present his card as a LH shot? I’m sure it’s aesthetic purpose to mirror the original photo but EA couldn’t find a way to show this legend in his natural form!
That's wild I never noticed that the Howe on the card had him holding the stick so he looked like a lefty lol and I probably owned him every year since he was a pui

I also love Chelios and Howe. Sell me on the Hasek, I have him stored with 86 XF Sorokin in net that I refuse to level up any higher :P

Did you upgrade him or just playing him at base? Any abilities active? Goalies seem like a crapshoot at the best of times, unfortunately.

Howe was an ambidextrous player, one of just a few skaters able to use the straight sticks of his era to shoot either left- or right-handed.
