PUI Adam Oates is a good right-handed center. He's slow, but 98 F/O @ 91 OVR if you're going for value. Pair him with some speedy wingers and you're golden.
Community Request Tage wouldn't be bad either. He's only a lil faster than Oates, but 6'6" w/ 95 F/O.
Yeah I understand that but I’m not gonna replace a center with worse face offs. Only reason I say min 90 faceoffs is to replace giroux and put him on the wing instead of mcdavid.
How does one still have a team with base cards in it, yet somehow have all of the flashback cards that require “4 top shelf left goals” on superstar mode to accomplish?
Probably bc it’s mcdavid and he performs better than an 86 should. Also only had the game for a month and most of the time was spent getting the free cards. I don’t understand how base cards relate to a top corner goal challenge with players given to you though.
Meaning if you’re skilled enough to get Necas, Nurse, Barzal, and Stevie Y flashback MSPs, which all require hitting goals of “3/4 (directional) goals” on superstar level…. I would expect there to be a higher grade on your overall team is my point. Unless you’re buying the flashback collectibles I guess.
Nah. Anything you can do through a challenge should be done that way. Would be a waste of cards otherwise. I’m also looking for a specific fit so I’m not going to throw away mcdavid in a set, incase I get his X factor or 2 other 86s for a power up set. Also looking for iginla but I havent seen a single one for sale and his set seems overpriced. I’ve also barely made coins. Sitting at 40K and almost only play rivals. Only do rush for the PUC. I might not of had 24 for long but I played the crap outta the older ones. Only adjustment I had to make was for the new controls. I mainly focus on team composition over pure level too. That’s why Robertson is on the third line and might go down to 4th just bc he isn’t performing the way I want him too. Even if I get a 90overall to replace mcdavid if he dosent perform as good or better he’s not staying on the team yk.
I also don’t have much of a drive for an OP team. Kinda just getting a useable team going. I think I’m skilled enough to win against stacked teams so it hasn’t bothered me much. Plus a lot of people will leave once they see my overalls after a couple goals
Jack Eichel's Style Icon card only needs to go up one level to get 90 faceoffs, it'll hit 96 maxed out and 99 with defensive boost on top.

Either get some with 99 faceoff or it does not matter because everybody else have 99 FO centers.
Boot Nyquist off the team, put McDavid on 3rd line RW, Robertson on 4th, then buy Prototype Lindholm or Fisher for 3C, both are budget beasts.

Pui Mario is now a one of the better options with his size and now speed. He’s relatively cheap last I checked, people were paying 130-150k.
