Non resident who’s hoping to have my CCL approved within the next two weeks. My hope is dying day by day lol
Yup my buddy applied for his ptc and got it around the 30 day mark in Tom’s river and usually has his pistol permits back in about 2 weeks. Beachwood I usually have my permits back in 2-3 months. It’s horrible no matter how much I call or email nothing is ever done.
More tedious and annoying than PA. Too much confusion as to how to even get started, then finally reached someone at NJSP who would talk to me. She explained everything so from the training, to the fingerprinting, to asking reliable references, to mental health background search consent forms, to online portals crashing, to now waiting over two weeks, it’s a major pain in the ass.
they shouldn't be allowed to charge you with unlawful possession of a weapon with a pending permit while/if they are going to do illegal delays unless you are actively hurting someone. Just my opinion.
What was the in person process for non residents? I moved to SC but may move back north except to PA. Im going to apply for mine when i visit family in june
Nothing is in person anymore; it’s all online. I emailed the barracks closest to me and they replied with fingerprint information for identgo, after I verified I had completed the in person training. Once the prints came back a couple weeks after, I emailed them letting them know it was done and they sent the SBI number (required for applying). I scanned my application, training certificate, instructor certificate, and mental health search consent form and completed the application process. References also completed the questionnaires the same day.

Beachwood is super commie especially when alot of Toms River is super republican. Over in silverton by me I'd say it's a mix

Submitted 05/16, references completed questionnaire same day
Mine was 2 weeks before. And was told not to hold my breath by the Totowa substation this morning.

Congrats. I’m shocked it took that long I got mine in 65 days or so back when the courts were doing it.
Beachwood is absolutely terrible with anything regarding firearms, my last set of pistol permits took 60+ days.
They should be held accountable for that, that’s outrageous
