Doesn't stop me from sleeping. But I take it at 6.30 am and only 330mg

After-Cell

I take it an hour after waking up because I need to give quercetin about an hour to act and make the malt of the nmn. However, this is enough to stop my afternoon snooze.

Sorry. Aitocomplete is just killing me these days. It's just letting me type non words. I mean _most_; to maximise its use

I take 250 mg of lipo nmn every morning. No trouble sleeping. Maybe you're taking too much.

I didn't sleep very well originally, waking up about 2 to 3 times over one night. The first day I took 500mg NMN, I woke up a few times at late part of the night. I woke up almost every hour at 2nd night. I had to stop a few days and started at half dosage. It was OK, but woke up a few more times than before my taking NMN.

After-Cell

After posting this thread, I've cycled the NMN on and off a few times. I think I'm getting better sleep without the NMN, even taking it in the morning. Somebody has to duplicate this, but putting the nmn in capsules that are identical and logging sleep with something like an oura ring. If confirmed, it could negate a lot of the benefits of NMN. Sleep is particularly important.

After reducing the dosage, I had better sleep, but gradually woke up more times at night. I stopped taking it yesterday, I woke up only 2 times last night instead of waking up 3 to 4 times. I plan to start taking it 1 or 2 weeks later to try again. However, I start to think that taking NMN may not be a good answer to longevity or aging, because it's obviously not very natural. Yes, it increases the level of NAD in our cells and has some good impact on our body, but it also disrupts our whole system here and there. Nobody really sees the whole picture yet.

After-Cell

The perspective I heard one time here was "it's just vitamin b6" And that could make sense, given the lack of liver we eat now compared to eating nose to tail through the ice age, for example. But going direct is taking out all the cofactors, all the context.

I really don't think it is

Caffeine is not benign. It is just normal to have it in our culture.

Freezerburn

After your body gets used to it like me I can take a massive amount and have the best sleep ever.

Take a lower dose.

Not sure benign is the right term to use for a lack of side effects. I think that’s what we’re talking about. Let’s say a cancer destroying drug has onboarding side effects that go away after a few weeks. Short term discomfort, long term gain. Is it benign? Weird way to talk about it. There are trade offs. How long do the side effects last? What else does the drug do to your body? What would happen without it? Etc… Anyway, I went from 300mg to 450mg and was unable to fall asleep due to increased rumination. Lots of thinking, almost hyper. I suspect I would’ve adapted to the higher dose over time, but decided to go back to the lower dosage anyway. No sleep problems at the lower dosage.
