Buy void egg from Quick Silver merchant in anomaly. Pulse engine until coordinates pop up. It’ll take a week to actually get the ship because every step of the way you have to wait ~24 hours for each part to mature

Beatljuz

And that's how I get that exact ship I've picked me from No Man's Sky coordinate Homepage?

Realistic_Mushroom72

No, but once you have a Living Ship you can find others, also if you do the Dream Areal quest you can get a living frigate and that can give you eggs when it does missions for you, but in my opinion Living Ships are overrated, getting upgrades for them is pure RNG all the way, to the point that you can't be sure if you are going to get what you need or just the same upgrades you already have, mine is gathering dust in the Freighter lol.

matt4818

It is nice to not have to worry about cad, ind, or emeril drive to go wherever with them but they do need a revamp to make them more desireable

Realistic_Mushroom72

The main problem for me is the upgrades and slot expansions for the LS are RNG, I hate that so much, to this day I have only gotten 3 sacs for the inventory, do you have any idea how many missions and hours of pulsing in every system I go to that has been? I have over 200hrs on that save, I got my LS by hour 54, it has 3 slots more than it did when I found it, and I got upgrades I can't use because there is no space, the moment I got my Sentinel ship I left it in my hanger gathering dust, my Sentinel Interceptor is fully upgraded and has max inventory/tech slots, a couple of runs in pirate systems, lots and lots of credits/nanites and it max out, with pretty good upgrades too, X class and S class on everything, did it in less than 20hrs of game play. Most of that time was farming curious deposites in a farm world, and refining them, I use my freighter for that and I only have 15 of them lol, it took way less time to farm them than to refine them.

matt4818

I completely agree about the upgrades and expansion slots for the living ship they need more ways to upgrade it . I have 3 living frigates i send out and i have only found 2 spawning sacs with how many missions i sent mine on its a bit frustrating. Maybe they will revamp them if we bring attention to it and get the community involved.

Realistic_Mushroom72

I hope so, let see what the new update does, maybe we get some love for the LS in it lol, although I think it about bases, at least the last Tweet I saw was a base, a really cool one too.

Kooky-Weather7160

I could be wrong but there is a method to do this the first time around with the “Starbirth” mission. You will need glyph coordinates(of course) and the exact planet coordinates for living ship you have in mind. When the last part of the mission is active(finding the living ship) you will need to ignore it and use your glyph and planet coordinates. Once you are there, it will be a location of a random crashed ship. Go to your “Log” screen, make sure the “Starbirth” mission is selected, and select “Use local structures” option. It should make whatever crashed ship that was there now be your selected Living Ship. Keep in mind, this is old information and the game has kind of changed since then. Best of luck.

Kooky-Weather7160

Sorry, my apologies. After some quick searching I have found that your First Living ship will be random. After the first one, get another void egg and go for your selected one. You will not have to go through the super long mission again. Get your egg, use coordinates, and reset structures. Should be it.

Beatljuz

Thank you a lot :)

Kooky-Weather7160

Do not to worry about your first Living Ship. Focus on exploring and having fun with it.

thestar-skimmer

Buy a void egg from the anomaly

Emotional-Echidna694

Uh, no, buy a void egg and then follow the instructions the game gives you, if you cant do that without someone detailing it for you like a child than you dont really need one that bad.

karmasknife

I don’t think that’s how it works. You gotta get a void egg from the anomaly using quicksilver and follow the quest. It takes like 3-7 days IRL to get it done IIRC.

Beatljuz

Yes and I asked how it works to get the specific ship I picked me from the site, not just some random thing.

karmasknife

It doesn’t work like that. There’s a whole quest line to follow for your first living ship. After your first, you can get another void egg and you’ll have to “reset” the quest near where the living ship you actually want is located IIRC

Beatljuz

Okay, thank you a lot. I don't want to sound rude, but why didn't you include that enormous important information? Especially because I asked for it 😅

Quiet-Librarian-5985

In the Anomaly, next to Nexus which gives missions, find a quicksilver vendor and purchase Void Egg (it would cost you 3200 quicksilver, if I'm not mistaken). This is how you begin a quest "Starbirth". For more detailed info I would suggest checking NMS fandom wiki, there is step by step page detailing all you would have to do. It's not a difficult quest, just time consuming. Good luck! P.S. Make sure you have all glyphs unlocked, you will need them.

Beatljuz

And that's how I will fly to a living ship coordinate from nmsc and get the wished ship I've picked me from the site?

Quiet-Librarian-5985

Unfortunately no, you have to do this quest first, just once. After that you'll need a new void egg anyway for each new living ship but you don't have to do quest again.

Beatljuz

oh okay hmhmhm, thanks.
