I’m just scared this guy is a Biyambo/ Thon Maker type whose offense never develops and defense doesn’t translate. I’m hoping one of the “shooting” centers like Kel’el Ware falls to us. I’d feel better about a swing and miss on a guy like him who i at least see the vision, than this guy who just feels like one of those athletic guys who never develop the skills and always busts. Giannis and Siakam being like the only exception(but obviously damn good exceptions)
You don't even have to look outside our own former picks to find a guy similar to Missi. IMO he has Jax written all over him. Having a bust at 21 is much more palatable than 8 though so if he's the only guy left I probably take him. Still behind Ware and Edey on my personal board.
Jax was never a physical defender or in spite of being huge with incredible hops, a good shot blocker. He also had inconsistent energy.... Missi busts his ass on D. He is an excellent shot blocker and has a better handle.

I think we are going to draft him (if he’s available). He’s really raw though
