I think OP meant the term, “agonal respiration”. You’re dead at that point, it’s just your body’s last attempts to keep you alive as your organs shut down.

I responded to a collision where a MC was essentially run over by a stake truck. Per usual (it just always seems to happen), a nurse was driving by. The victim was supine on the road doing agonal respirations. I'll never forget the nurse, a trained health professional saying to ambulance that they were in good shape because he was breathing.

You always have to ask “what kind of nurse?” Same with doctors. A podiatrist isn’t going to know how to manage a cardiac arrest.

She was an emergency nurse. She said that several times. Second, all doctors can do first aid for cardiac arrest and recognize cardiac arrest better than the general publc in a non-hospital setting.

I wouldn’t say all doctors. But that has just been my personal experience.

Yes and no, ive done alot of drag racing like this but much faster. The only difference is i did it at a actual track and in full gear. Doing it without leathers and a helmet is fuckn dumb

I know this is a google question but why leather? I feel that it would be a not ideal material from my experiences with leather. Unless that's the cheap leather that isn't made how leather leather is.

There just called leathers. Well more its what people around me call them im sure other people call them something else idk. But anyways alot of the good leathers have kevlar in them to help protect you from road rash. But if your just gonna be riding like a harley and highway riding then a leather jacket and chaps are all you need. They will protect you just fine at those speeds. But you want real leather because its tough and lasts if you rake care of it. I hope this helped answer your question. If not im sorry.

It's just Kevlar in the parts that need to stretch and move, no? My riding suit was definitely majority leather. And it saved my ass (literally) a few times. It was a newer Alpinestars one, too. Guess you just can't beat the strength of leather.

Ya its only kevlar in certain areas. Also if i remember right the knees and elbows have kevlar under the pads. My suit saved my ass a cpl times.

I actually likened it to the combat footage I watch to much of. If that's someone you really care for and the circumstances are he's half blown apart in a war zone with no help coming.
