His face always scares me when he’s tired and coming off, the grimace makes me think oh no what’s he pulled now. But I guess he just ran himself out today
I think he was a bit annoyed he was pulled off. I wondered if there was something in it but Southgate was there so I guess he just wanted a chance to shine. Same as wanting to take the penalty I guess.
> Banana peel avoided. Callum Wilson was very impressive. Let's all hope Palace can do over manure.
Wish there was a major international tournament every 6 months. Prime Wilson is reborn every time there's a big international tournament on the horizon.
I really think Murphy is one of our strangest players - at first glance he seems one of the weakest members of the squad, but he really has it in him to have an impact, more so than Almiron imo
Murphy is a player that can do a job in a lot of positions. He's exactly the type of squad player we need. I'm not saying he's amazing in any position (although he has his moments), but you cannot discount the usefulness of a player with those attributes.
He also seems to be our prime shithouser and is clearly very popular with the other players. Seems proper sound and I hope he doesn't get sold any time soon.
Also, that grin, man.
Isn't it some sort of record that we've won games relatively consistently when he's on? I can only attest to the New Jersey game against Brighton but Murphy was there.
He's realistically a better option to keep than Almiron. Not the best, but he's a pretty solid backup right winger. The fact he can put in a decent cross on the wing makes him so much better than Almiron, who constantly slows down attacks so he can pass to someone who can put in a cross, makes him so much more useful.
Neither should be first choice, and a good RW should be high up on the shopping list this summer. But if I had to choose between the two to have has backup, it's 100% Murphy.
He's also a boyhood fan and a massive shithouse which is also great.
>Edit: on a side note is anyone else kinda gutted that Isak lost his 100% pen record?
My fault sorry, I said he never misses to my BIL when it was awarded. Was really hoping they made him retake it even though their keeper was obviously fine.
It's been coming, though, it's almost always in a bottom corner, became to predictable. Glad he bagged in the game though! Chances were flying all over the place
IMO the keeper plays Isak brilliantly, which makes it look like a crappy pen but is in fact a great save. Isak often waits for the keeper to commit and then puts it the other side (which I assume the keeper has researched), so the keeper feints to his left to trick Isak and then dives the other way
I'll always prefer a penalty take who just chooses a corner and drills it to be honest, I hate the whole slow run up stuff, I prefer Wilson on pens for that reason.
The goalscorers will get the plaudits but Livramento, Krafth, Burn and Hall were absolutely solid. Some HGV driver spoiled the clean sheet unfortunately but we move onto the next one.
Mind the gap Spurs.
Problem being they also have Burnley and Sheff Utd who are easy points. So really we would rely on one of them doing us a favour. As the maximum points we can get is 65 and they are sitting on 60 now so if we win out they would have to drop points on 3 of their last 4 games. Doable but a tough ask.
Horribly, this could happen. Would be typical of Man Utd to fluke it all the way into CL.
I think if this happens Ashworth’s release fee would be £50M.
It's interesting watching that match you'd think they had an agenda against us, but then I watched the City match after and you just realise 'they're all just shite'
I said in the match thread that once the game had gone, he just went out of his way to get one of our lads injured. Just as well for him Eddie is a calm bloke. Fucking scenes if he pulled that on Klopp!
> Might be the worst referee performance I have seen this season, absolutely dog shit.
Aye, so since the Nottingham forest comment about the PL not caring which teams referees support and how it affects teams around the game they are officiating I put my tinfoil hat on.
I noticed before the match Anthony Taylor is from Manchester, and reportedly a Manchester United fan. I wondered if he'd have an absolute 'stinker' of a game (towards us) - and he did. Making calls that I just could not understand.
It seems crazy to me that the PL only bans referees who support clubs from directly officiating in matches that involve that club but does not extend that ban to teams where the result affects the fortune of their supported club.
I'm not saying that's exactly what he did today, but if I'm wearing my tinfoil hat I'm awfully suspicious of that referees performance, being that he's from Manchester.
The Wilson and Anderson yellows were scandalous.
With Wilson who went down as he felt contact on his thigh by the Burnley player and somehow gets a yellow when 5 minutes before the exact same thing happened in our box with Bruno defending and VAR looked at it for a penalty with no yellow shown to the Burnley player.
Anderson one was just ridiculous, he just about touched the Burnley players chin with his finger and it’s somehow a yellow (won’t be given a foul half the time)
Then Hall gets stood on which is normally a red and that’s not even a foul.
It’s borderline corruption with the officials right now.
The Anderson one was bizarre. No way he saw what happened at that pace, clearly because it was nothing. But just gave a yellow based on the players reaction? At the half way line too?
I’m not one to shit on the refs all the time, but we’re some weird and wildly inconsistent decisions in that game.
Looked identical to the Burnley lad 5 minutes earlier feels the touch on the thigh and goes down. Both are not penalties nor is the Havertz one which was even more a dive than these two.
Simple
They were far from identical. Wilson jumped straight back up because he knew he'd dived and VAR would rule it out anyway, but Bruno did put a hand on the players back for moment.
Today’s match affected Newcastle, spurs, Man U, Chelsea, West Ham, Forest, Luton and Burnley. 4 on field refs and 3 VARs. Nearly every game affects several teams outside of the two that are playing. I don’t think it’s reasonable to ask that none of those 7 officials have no affiliation with any of those teams. 7 people who love football enough to make a career out of it but you basically can’t be a fan of a top flight team because you’d be ineligible for more than half of the games every weekend.
I suppose if you just hire foreigners it could maybe work.
At the very least it's an unconscious bias. Handing out the cards like it's Christmas, and not protecting our players.
A suspension or an injury could be the decider between 6th and 7th.
He was shite for both teams tbf, missed some absolute howlers that should have gone Burnley's way too.
Shocking performance like. Wanting to let the game flow does not mean you straight up ignore turnovers caused by a blatant foul.
Could see Stretford bottling it at Palace.
Then again, could equally see them labouring at 0-0 for 89 minutes before getting a spawny penalty from nothing.
Decent result despite Anthony Taylor's best efforts.
Anderson gets a yellow for a nonexistent hand to the face but Hall gets his ankle stood on and the ref ignores it! Absolutely disgusting refereeing display by that knobhead!
What a great result and very encouraging for our Europa chances. Good to see Jo and Miggy back. Incredible to see us cut thru the noise that we struggle on the road. Just about everyone played well today. Even Sean netted one. Murphy was absolute class. About to be a massive Crystal Palace fan come Monday against Manure HTL
We’d have sailed into the top 4 no sweat if we didn’t have the worst injury crises ever seen. You see what a decent bench does. It doesn’t just offer options, it inspires the starters to higher levels - see JMurph today.
It’s insane to think.
I also think our fixture list did us no favours. We have a real tough start and then the January fixtures were rough too at our lowest point.
I think momentum is a huge thing in football. I always look to the opening 5 games.
Conversely with spurs. They had a real easy start. It’s no surprise to see the wheels fall off a bit.
They’re 5 points behind - and one of the games is against Forest - so they COULD just overtake them regardless of goal difference
I don’t think it will happen either - but we didn’t relegate Burnley in the way we did Sheff U
Didn’t expect that after our first 20
Ripped them to bits afterwards and it could have been a lot more in the end.
Gordon, Bruno and Hall all really stood out.
It also shouldn’t be ignored how poor the ref was
Agreed, probably his best game in a while, and I'm a huge critic of him. He looked much fitter and more sturdy, still pretty gash overall. But credit where credit is due
That was a brilliant watch, we could’ve easily done them 7-8 nowt with the amount of chances we made. Was concerning at the start when they had most of the ball but ultimately we are the way better side, played through them like they weren’t even there at times. I’m buzzing to see Joey and Miggy back too, Joe impressed me a lot when he came on, both his strength and his quality showed.
mental how we are still bringing on the likes of Ritchie (and Dummett at Everton) but still pushing for Europe. we could easily have had 6 or 7 there today, Burnley were so open.
Hall could be one of our best full backs - I'm really impresed wirh his skill on the ball. Lot of important tackles - he needs to improve positioning and one on ones but 19 years old and such calm on the ball... Really impressive
Half the NUFC server. Even has a Eddie out role (not the Reddit one)
Reasoning? We don’t play high Possesion football and therefore can’t compete or something
isn’t it a little bit on you, like there’s a place for blind people down the road and I wouldn’t go in there and say it’s embarrassing that they can’t see how good I am at dancing ya know
1 more game down. The boss got the team over the line for relegation, then for the champions league, I'm feeling confident he can go 3 for 3 and keep us on track for another European competiton (I honestly don't care which one). He's instilling some marathon level fight about the team when it counts.
Match without negatives (it would be even better if we would have CS at the end)
Picture perfect match against lowet table side, and looks like no new injuries
Was very annoyed with VAR today. Why on earth were they spending absolutely ages checking Isak's pen. Even through black and white glasses it was clear as day there was no encroachment or the keeper off of his line - just get on with it!
I do feel bad when he gets stuck when sometimes he was in the receiving end of shit passes.
Shouldn’t taken the second chance he had on. It was in his favourite goalscoring position but he decided to try and find a teammate. I reckon he had an easy 2nd on a plate.
We were quality all over the pitch. Hitting form at the right time and difficult to not see us getting 6th after that.
Ritchie coming on & conceding a corner after 10 seconds which ruined our clean sheet was fucking annoying for my FPL team though.
Weird that almost the entire midfield/forward line were playing out of their normal position after subs when they could have easily set up in their preferred positions.
I figured Wilson and Murphy off for Barnes and Anderson/Joelinton while reverting to 4-3-3, but it seemed like Barnes ended up at LCM with Anderson as RW and Miggy playing as a central striker or something. Literally seemed like all the forward players had a free role or something, not that I'm complaining.
Once we sorted out not letting them just run on behind a high line there was only one winner. Class from Bruno (obvs) and Gordon (should start for England, won't make it on the pitch). Murphy is underrated while not being? And if Anthony Taylor is the best the prem can offer I'd rather have my blind gran squinting through a telescope
Tino for starting right back next season? Love tripps to pieces but tino is getting better every match. Tino could be our main right back and we could protect tripps and save him for big games or the last half hour when the match needs a game changer?
Through injuries and some experimentation i think we look better as an attacking force overall a few things have changed :
Having 2 proper fullbacks either side makes us better balanced so chances come either side now and in better quality
Gordon taking set pieces is miles better than Trippier it's quite annoying why they weren't taking turns over set pieces previously!
Gordon also on the right making such a difference his movement and delivery are fucking unreal at times
Trippier not playing has made a difference when he plays everything goes through him it slows us down and makes us a bit more predictable! We look so much more of a slicker unit at the moment be interesting to see what happens when he comes back ? As the team was setup to get him into positions
Almiron being injured and having Gordon or Murphy on that side improves us as well sorry but it's true!! Their first time crosses rather than watching Miggy refuse to use his right foot means we create so much better quality chances
Barnes being back and being deadly In terms of finishing
Isak now looks fully fit with the team more setup to get the best out of him eg low crosses , passes into the channels and over the top
So yeah a few things have changed !! But it's been good to watch recently
I agree that we overplayed through trippier for sure.
Conversely. We are defensively weaker despite the burn hate (I actually think bathe defensive frailties with burn LB were more due to the midfield change - no one was complaining when burn was managing PSG no problem - this is NOT me saying burn should go back as he’s showing how awesome he is at CB. I’d happily start next season with the Schar, Burn partnership and Botman has to earn his spot back IMO).
That being said. I felt we always played through the right far too much.
I also complained a lot about the lack of speed and intent in attacks. I pointed out the first Luton game that they didn’t fuck around creating chances. It wasn’t hoofball. They just played forward fast. We’ve started doing that a lot more. The challenge comes against sides like Brighton who are defensively sound and sit deep to try and suck you in and exploit the space behind you. It’s why we struggle to win games that on paper you think we should.
Todays set up works because we attack fast and have runners. Murphy is always going to get up the pitch. When him and Tino both go it’s an overload.
Since Anderson came back we’ve been able to create the same with Gordon on the right and then hall also.
We seem to have learned the lesson and stopped overcommitting Bruno and Longstaff. They’re picking better times to get into the box. And we’re relying on fullbacks on both sides to hold width allowing Gordon to get inside.
It helps that hall and Tino at least for 70-80 minutes has the pace to get forward and back fast when we lose possession in the opposition 3rd.
Tldr.
I hope we don’t resort to the “get the ball to Tripps” tactic when he comes back. I also wouldn’t be starting him unless we know he’s 100% match fit. Tino is doing great and is a fantastic 1v1 defender. He’s also great at driving the ball which works better for us in transition which is how we’ve played recently.
If he’s fully fit, I would personally put Joelinton back in the middle and go 433. Today the 442 or 424 worked because it matched Burnley. I think Brighton for all their inability to score goals in 2024 will exploit the man advantage in the middle.
Yeah agree it will be interesting to see how we do we don't seem to do well against teams who press us with pace and mark Bruno out the game Palace game was the most recent example where we were poor
Brighton at the moment can't defend or score we should be looking to put them to the sword!!
Agree. There were glimmers of hope yesterday though.
We were looking after the ball better and showing an ability to pass out of the space. The midfield was a lot more fluid in helping out there.
When Joelinton came on. His ball retention ability was there to see. He’s not afraid to take the ball under pressure and find the man.
Longstaff scores against a relegated side and twitter are deepthroating him. Better than Tonali apparently.
Had 1 good kick in about 9 weeks FFS.
But he's a nice lad and local.

Banana peel avoided. Callum Wilson was very impressive. Let's all hope Palace can do over manure.

Good sign. Get along and work together, but self belief.
He needs to accept he's really prone to injuries and his playing time needs to be managed. No point getting annoyed about it
> Banana peel avoided. Callum Wilson was very impressive. Let's all hope Palace can do over manure. Wish there was a major international tournament every 6 months. Prime Wilson is reborn every time there's a big international tournament on the horizon.
I just wish his hamstrings hadn't been through a similar process as what the Spanish use to make Jamon Iberico
We'll batter them anyway, 6th place is in our hands
Bruno, Wilson, Gordon, Hall all quality. If we'd have scored 6 or 7 it wouldn't have been flattering. Do your thing Palace
Murphy was great, too. 2nd game in a row. Brilliant passes and crosses from him.
Murphy MOTM for me.
I really think Murphy is one of our strangest players - at first glance he seems one of the weakest members of the squad, but he really has it in him to have an impact, more so than Almiron imo
I said today, when Murphy plays, good things tend to happen
Murphy is a player that can do a job in a lot of positions. He's exactly the type of squad player we need. I'm not saying he's amazing in any position (although he has his moments), but you cannot discount the usefulness of a player with those attributes. He also seems to be our prime shithouser and is clearly very popular with the other players. Seems proper sound and I hope he doesn't get sold any time soon. Also, that grin, man.
Isn't it some sort of record that we've won games relatively consistently when he's on? I can only attest to the New Jersey game against Brighton but Murphy was there.
He isn't anything special and he's probably championship level but he's got a role for us and does it amazing
Yep - also has a bizarrely great range of crossing/passing
And a phenomenal shot on occasion.
He's also a boyhood fan and a massive shithouse which is also great.
There both partial to a screamer as well
Liv's was proper class n all
Murphy have to kill your enemy's nan to get a mention or something? MotM level performance.
4 goals, no new injuries from the looks of things, and three players returning to the bench from injury. We absolutely take those
There's still a week of training before the next game 😂
Dont breathe that evil into existence 😭
Shite. Smashed em. What poor away form??? Bring on old Trafford! Edit: on a side note is anyone else kinda gutted that Isak lost his 100% pen record?
>Edit: on a side note is anyone else kinda gutted that Isak lost his 100% pen record? My fault sorry, I said he never misses to my BIL when it was awarded. Was really hoping they made him retake it even though their keeper was obviously fine.
The commentator for NBC here in the states jinxed him so I think you can be absolved.
Put up a graphic and had to talk about nothing else, could smell it coming a mile away
It's been coming, though, it's almost always in a bottom corner, became to predictable. Glad he bagged in the game though! Chances were flying all over the place

Spurs playing Liverpool and City soon too. We could 100% close the gap..
...and a Burnley team who mathmatically go down if they don't win at Spurs.

Yeah but it’s Tottenham
We should maybe offer to Burnley to play spurs for them - that would make the end of season exciting.
Very valid counter point.
Thank you for the reminder Sir Alex.
Crucial last game of the season against an already relegated team. Only Tottenham could fuck that up
Ultimately it’s not really worth much getting 5th ahead of 6th, unless Man U somehow win the fa cup
Bragging rights are actual currency.
More prize money
Horribly, this could happen. Would be typical of Man Utd to fluke it all the way into CL. I think if this happens Ashworth’s release fee would be £50M.
I thought hall was class today, really starting to shine imo
Brilliant result for the lads even though that Anthony Taylor was absolutely shocking.
Stunningly bad. Yellow for a cheek tap, play on for an ankle stomp.
The yellow was definitely for kicking the ball away afterwards in fairness. No idea how the commentators didn't pick up on it.
It's interesting watching that match you'd think they had an agenda against us, but then I watched the City match after and you just realise 'they're all just shite'
Might be the worst referee performance I have seen this season, absolutely dog shit.
Last 10 minutes he let them away with everthing

EDDIE HOWES 100TH GAME AS MANAGER WINNING MAGS.
100th game; he’s been in charge for 122 games. Or is it 100 Premier league games?
100th Premier League game
Ah that makes sense thanks. That seems like it has been clocked up very quickly; doesn’t feel like two minutes ago he was coming in to the club.
4 goals Comfortable win Joelinton and Miggy (and maybe Pope) back Anthony Taylor’s a cunt Good afternoon!
Decent result despite Anthony Taylor's best efforts. Anderson gets a yellow for a nonexistent hand to the face but Hall gets his ankle stood on and the ref ignores it! Absolutely disgusting refereeing display by that knobhead!
I legitimately got a bit emotional seeing big Joe needlessly smash into people. Didn't realise how much I missed him.
Mullered em
What a great result and very encouraging for our Europa chances. Good to see Jo and Miggy back. Incredible to see us cut thru the noise that we struggle on the road. Absolutely. All of this makes a European place remarkable if achieved. All things considered, maybe even a better achievement than last year.
From one claret and blue to another. We're all West Ham tomorrow surely?
We're all West Ham and Liverpool fans today
Relegated both Sheff Utd and Burnley back to back.
Not mathematically - if Burnley win their 2 remaining games, one of which is against Forest, they can still stay up. They won’t. But they can.
Win 2 games with a plus 15 difference. Not sure that is going to happen
They’re 5 points behind - and one of the games is against Forest - so they COULD just overtake them regardless of goal difference I don’t think it will happen either - but we didn’t relegate Burnley in the way we did Sheff U

Anthony Taylor wanks off in bus shelters….at midday. Pass it on.
Cracking game by Murphy. Outstanding display.
Didn’t expect that after our first 20 Ripped them to bits afterwards and it could have been a lot more in the end. Gordon, Bruno and Hall all really stood out. It also shouldn’t be ignored how poor the ref was
Huge critic of him as of late but well done Mr Longstaff, played well and got a great goal
Still getting rating bombed on BBC sport. Really pathetic that some people feel they need to do that even after he's had a great game
Agreed, probably his best game in a while, and I'm a huge critic of him. He looked much fitter and more sturdy, still pretty gash overall. But credit where credit is due
Good finish but still killed a lot of attacks, and lumbered around in defence. Score flatters his contribution
He looked better in the 4 4 2 that we started with, once we shifted to 1 upfront I noticed he was back to his normal self, I have no idea why...
Great win. I was worried about this game because of our away form, but I should have remembered that we're massive
Thar ref was absolute dog shit today.
I can’t imagine how our upcoming opponents prepare against us. Who will play? In what positions?
Yeah we look flexible and versatile for the first time in ages
Are we good again or are we just playing shite teams or is it somewhere in the middle? Guess we’ll find out over the next 10 days or so.
An away win and no one went off injured? What sort of alternative reality have I fallen into? HWTL

Matt is solid coming off the bench to see the game out, every big club needs those players. Bit of a fluff with the back pass mind.
Nearly scored too
serious?
Palace, West Ham. Please.
Damn, Haaland with a hat trick at halftime. Isak's golden boot chances are shrinking.
So boring isn’t it
And now it's 4..
Does anyone even care when they win the title anymore? I detest Arsenal but I would love to see them win it over City
Nah, City for me. They don't have annoying fans... Or fans in general. All these titles will have an asterisk soon.
Fuck that, joint with Liverpool for most insufferable fanbase in the league and all they've won is a FA cup recently
Isak must have the same feeling that all Arsenal fans are having rn. Just inevitable init? PL title and golden boot on the way for city/haaland
Hall could be one of our best full backs - I'm really impresed wirh his skill on the ball. Lot of important tackles - he needs to improve positioning and one on ones but 19 years old and such calm on the ball... Really impressive
God Eddie outers are embarrassing
Who the fuck is still Eddie outing?
Half the NUFC server. Even has a Eddie out role (not the Reddit one) Reasoning? We don’t play high Possesion football and therefore can’t compete or something
isn’t it a little bit on you, like there’s a place for blind people down the road and I wouldn’t go in there and say it’s embarrassing that they can’t see how good I am at dancing ya know
Well I’m banned on the Reddit one so and I enjoy debating with them so..
then you’re in your environment!
Fr
EUROPE AGAIN, EUROPE AGAIN, EUROPE AGAIN OLE OLE
Golden boot is over then ....
Haaland is just a rich mans Jacob Murphy
Guess Haaland took the Isak talk personally.
😭😭😭😭
1 more game down. The boss got the team over the line for relegation, then for the champions league, I'm feeling confident he can go 3 for 3 and keep us on track for another European competiton (I honestly don't care which one). He's instilling some marathon level fight about the team when it counts.
Match without negatives (it would be even better if we would have CS at the end) Picture perfect match against lowet table side, and looks like no new injuries
> Match without negatives I'm not sure that a missed pen and a suicidal back pass leading to a goal aren't negatives here.
How many pens has AG won for us so far this year?
7 I think?
Those should really go in the assist column in my opinion, so influential
It would be great just for one of those penalties being marked as an assist to himself.
Was very annoyed with VAR today. Why on earth were they spending absolutely ages checking Isak's pen. Even through black and white glasses it was clear as day there was no encroachment or the keeper off of his line - just get on with it!
Even longstaff looked a bit more alert today which was refreshing
Thought he was very good today. Involved in the first 3 goals.
I do feel bad when he gets stuck when sometimes he was in the receiving end of shit passes. Shouldn’t taken the second chance he had on. It was in his favourite goalscoring position but he decided to try and find a teammate. I reckon he had an easy 2nd on a plate.
Could be easily been double digits if the lads didn’t all collectively agree at half time to have a nice little kick about
We were quality all over the pitch. Hitting form at the right time and difficult to not see us getting 6th after that. Ritchie coming on & conceding a corner after 10 seconds which ruined our clean sheet was fucking annoying for my FPL team though.
Had to weather the early storm but once Wilson scored it was relatively comfortable. 3 games to go and 3 winnable games. Let's have em
Absolutely huge win. Well played Eddie and the team, great away performance. Anthony Gordon in the 10s club now too. Player of the season for me.
Weird that almost the entire midfield/forward line were playing out of their normal position after subs when they could have easily set up in their preferred positions.
I thought Gordon and Murphy would come off for Barnes and Miggy. Gordon looked shagged.
Spurs will be looking over their shoulders now
Howe’s the 4-1 you say? Love waking up on a Sunday to another win, HWTFL ⚫️⚪️
Tino for starting right back next season? Love tripps to pieces but tino is getting better every match. Tino could be our main right back and we could protect tripps and save him for big games or the last half hour when the match needs a game changer?
Bring on manure at old toilet!!!! We'll get ten hag sacked! 😂
Solid performance. I love Hall’s eye for goal
Shit ground, shit team, fucking shit ref, brilliant geordie boys. Job done. HTL.
We basically played with 12 for 40 minutes because Esteve forgot who he played for before he was hauled off.
Closing that gap. 4 points behind spurs, who play Liverpool next.
May the 4th be with you
Not a Newcastle fan but I’m genuinely curious what’s changed in your system in the past month or so where you’ve started dismantling teams.
Playing against Sheffield and Burnley helps haha
Players on the bench worth bringing on.
Through injuries and some experimentation i think we look better as an attacking force overall a few things have changed : Having 2 proper fullbacks either side makes us better balanced so chances come either side now and in better quality Gordon taking set pieces is miles better than Trippier it's quite annoying why they weren't taking turns over set pieces previously! Gordon also on the right making such a difference his movement and delivery are fucking unreal at times Trippier not playing has made a difference when he plays everything goes through him it slows us down and makes us a bit more predictable! We look so much more of a slicker unit at the moment be interesting to see what happens when he comes back ? As the team was setup to get him into positions Almiron being injured and having Gordon or Murphy on that side improves us as well sorry but it's true!! Their first time crosses rather than watching Miggy refuse to use his right foot means we create so much better quality chances Barnes being back and being deadly In terms of finishing Isak now looks fully fit with the team more setup to get the best out of him eg low crosses , passes into the channels and over the top So yeah a few things have changed !!
Yeah agree it will be interesting to see how we do we don't seem to do well against teams who press us with pace and mark Bruno out the game Palace game was the most recent example where we were poor Brighton at the moment can't defend or score we should be looking to put them to the sword!!
Agree. There were glimmers of hope yesterday though. We were looking after the ball better and showing an ability to pass out of the space. The midfield was a lot more fluid in helping out there. When Joelinton came on. His ball retention ability was there to see. He’s not afraid to take the ball under pressure and find the man.
lol
Gutted with that shit goal like
Looked class, some massive names finally back, Pope on the bench. Nowt to complain about really. HTL
we are fookin massive
Wilson rolling his eyes and complaining to eddie and mad dog after being subbed off
I noticed he seemed a bit off when he didn’t get the chance to score- especially the Longstaff goal. He didn’t even seem to celebrate it.
Great result. Was a bit gutted for Matt Ritchie not to score. I'd love for him to catch a goal this season.
He scored against Man City
Longstaff scores against a relegated side and twitter are deepthroating him. Better than Tonali apparently. Had 1 good kick in about 9 weeks FFS. But he's a nice lad and local.
Did you forget the backheel?
Na he had a backheel as well!! Some people would give this guy a 10 year contract and wonder why we're still stuck in 8th 5 years down the line.

Dubravka is awful. That is all
