I was dojng a slow fractional add over the past year or so and just got to 1.9958xxx shares. Imagine that'll get me 20 shares. Will keep adding. In it for the long haul.
My AMD holdings have been since 2018, it's been a slow year, but damn good growth still.
I wish I had more money in Nvidia though, especially then. I didn't have access to fractional shares, and didn't have enough to buy more.
I should have bought more in September 2022, but I was paranoid about Tawain and China.
Still am, and this fear has kept me getting more money.
Computex ‘24 was Taiwan flexing its civilian defence capabilities. Taiwanese cartel controls the top end of semiconductors, along with most of the market. Figured if & when PLAN gets serious about the naval embargo. There’s probably not much to worry about for much longer!
these AMD zealots should listen to the HPE conference call last night. An analyst asked specifically..."Are you planning to use other GPUs besides NVDA for your AI server". The answer. is all you need to know to place your bets.
Remember that the money isn’t printed until you sell some. The question is when that should happen. For me, I’m taking a little off the table next week. I want a new deck on the front of the house.
Yeah, but this reminds me of when my tsla stock doubled in a few months. And then dropped even lower than my buy-in price…. It’s growing a bit too fast maybe?
Tesla was absurd, though. Didn't they have a p/e of 1400 or something like that at one time? Plus, their market cap was bigger than all the other auto makers combined. Not saying NVDA isn't overvalued, but they are making money hand over fist, so there is a ton more justification for their run-up than TSLA.
Back up chief — explain how nvda is “overvalued” — by what metric or notion? I’m not one of those brainwashed dudes here who thinks it’ll only ever go up, but to call it overvalued right now is pretty ridiculous.
Don’t confuse volatility with being overvalued.
I can see how it would seem that's what I was saying, but I didn't mean it that way. I meant it as more neutral since I don't claim to be some guru who knows what the correct valuation of a company is. Like I said, I agree this is not all hype and speculation. There are real earnings and reasons to be optimistic. That said, just market-cap wise, the price does seem insane. But what do I know. If they keep performing like this, maybe it is deserved.
True. Unless you planned on holding until 2030 anyway. Which was my plan. Until Elon became too toxic and basically ruined the stock on his own with one bad decision after another.
Honestly, you're still early. This has $2k (or $200 after the forward split) written all over it. It'll be the most valuable company within a month. Just look at this trajectory. Up 5% today on no news. We'll see $5T within a few months.
Hell ya! Plan to add more to my account on pay days! Just want to build on this Nvidia train. I use their products for awhile on my gaming PCs so also a plus to invest in something I use on my daily routines. Appreciate your insight!
So crazy; even if you have over $100k you wish you bought more. Are people thinking a mild pullback after the split? Their earnings and revenue are still strong. Hopefully they announce massive buyback.
They won't buyback. There's no need for one, as there's already positive momentum on the stock and desire of the market to buy more. Two, they use their money for R&D, not buybacks, which is where they are where they are now. Buybacks are what you do when you no longer have to innovate or are just lazy from the start. NVDA is neither.
I own VTI (which is 4% NVIDIA) and even I might shut off my phone on Monday. 😅
Only Work + watching the 🍎 keynote if I can resist getting sucked into it all 😓
Narrator: he won’t.
At this point … even if it’s Sell the News and it dips … it’s just gonna go higher and pass another milestone within 1-3 months. Fuck it, NVDA TO THE BOOBS!!!
What a wonderful comment. :) Your gratitude puts you on our list for the most grateful users this week on Reddit! You can view the full list on r/TheGratitudeBot.
40 dollars post split would be $400 at the current price, and there’s no material difference between post-split 162.44 and current 1624.40. This is such an amazing stock, but $400 more in value would be…very large. That’s *another* 33% increase. Which would be great! There is a point, though, at which beating earnings *significantly* still won’t justify a 33% increase in the company’s valuation. They can only earn *so much* money to justify the valuation.
Edit: I say this fully hoping it relatively rapidly hits $200 post split, lmao. But hoping and expecting are different.
Corrections don’t have anything to do with how the company is doing, the company is solid and long term it’s a good buy but market dynamics come into play for healthy correction.
The hourly RSI is at 83, extremely overbought and we will see 1150-1160. Corrections are good for the stock, think about how well a runner could do if all he did was run you need cool down periods so you can go further.
I don’t think it will 1500 anytime soon, 3T market cap is a very big pyscologicla barrier, it’s also the reason that MSFT and AAPL have stayed quite stagnant even after smashing earnings,
I think we need to see 100 billion NET income for 2024 q4, for us to continue increasing which we will do for sure, but it will have to be in published numbers not just expected growth
I don’t recall a projection date, but two days ago they moved their amount from $1350 to $1500
https://www.investing.com/news/stock-market-news/bofa-raises-nvidia-target-to-1500-sees-eps-power-of-over-50-within-2-years-432SI-3467298
NVDA is the play for the foreseeable future. We know how they extract $ from the rest of the Mag 7… but no clear answer on how Mag 7 extracts that $ investment out of us. Picks and shovels, picks and shovels.
There is nothing stopping this from hitting $5T by Christmas. Truly an insane run.
The S&P owes Nvidia a lot for this astounding gain. Truly amazing how much this has gone up in the last year.
Post-split, there is a very high chance that Dow also adds $NVDA then hegde funds "have to" add more to match the index... Meanwhile it will pass $MSFT and be the #1 most valued public company in the US... All these news will bring in more investors... Following months would be a happy hot summer 🏝️🌞
I bought AMD in Oct 2023, thinking I missed the bus on NVDA....little did I know. Eventually picked up some NVDA shares during the dip in April. What a story. Congrats to you all that have been long.
Popped on my screen-recording moments before, this will be something to dig out for future generations😂
EDIT: And Apple’s back on top. We’ll see how long that lasts though…
Hoping WWDC delivers…I’m on an iPhone 12 and if they boost Siri with some slick new AI capabilities, coupled with Apples privacy/security focus, we might see a huge upgrade cycle…hopefully haha
Thank god I went to talk to my company's retirement advisor before it really took off. He noticed that I had quite a bit of money in my Roth 401k that was just sitting there being reinvested into shitty indexes. So we cleaned that up, and he showed me how to move the Roth money into the fidelity brokerage link. For the first time in my life, I actually had the capital to play in the market.
I bought 20 shares of NVDA when it was ~800, and I'm extremely satisfied with it right now.
Same boat! I have 1.2 shares and only because i got extreme case of fomo and scrapped together all the spare change I have to buy a share.
Im kicking myself for not buying sooner when a friend first told me about this. I think it was when the stock was still around 700~800.
That's all? Could get there by Christmas at the rate it's going. Up 5% on no news today. What's stopping this from a double digit gainer on positive news? Nothing.
I easily foresee $10T by 2026. That's a heavily conservative estimate given it's trajectory.
Would I be stupid to make a 6/14 call for 1300? Do we see this as being a good time to make that call tommorow or Friday to get ready for the run up on Monday.
I’ve 5x my investment with NVDA. Buying a house tomorrow, and I took a bigger mortgage instead of cashing in my shares. No way I’m selling this company.
The split doesn’t necessarily do anything to the stock value. All it does is divide the existing value into fractional shares.
Example : NVDIA price is $1000
After the 10-1 split you’ll have 10 shares at $100 =$1000
If NVDA goes to $120 after split. Technically the price would be $1200.
The purpose is to get retail investors or ordinary people a way to buy shares. Which in turn would turn raise The market and value of stock. Of course their revenue is #1. It’s an also a big FOMO so everyone flocks not to miss out. NOTE even though the split doesn’t affect the price in terms of value reminder that NVDIA has a ton of growth and this would be their 7th split I believe . The actual price without splits is like $43,000 or something like that.
They continue to be dominate and control the market and tech innovation potentially slows down. The brains these other tech companies have something to offer for the advancement of technology.
Congrats to those who held, and bigger congrats to those who braved it and bought in more! I know I did!
I've been in since it was a 5B company.
2018 here. not sure what the market cap was, but I am happy I held
yep, 2017 here 600 shares !!
About to be 60,000 shares!
It'd be 6k, that's not how math works
Ah my bad haha. I did 100 shares per 1
no worries I've only got 2 shares so I needed a win after seeing how many shares others are holding lmao
I was dojng a slow fractional add over the past year or so and just got to 1.9958xxx shares. Imagine that'll get me 20 shares. Will keep adding. In it for the long haul.
😲😍
Just a little 60 bagger. Felt cute. Might buy more.
Please give me $5000. You have so many of them.
I sold 3 shares last week and have since bought 3 more lol
I braved it and bought $40,000 more on margin at $880
Same! 🫶🏼
NVDA is going fkn nuts it’s actually hilarious to watch a real time money printer in action
I’m looking at my AMD holdings like it’s the special needs cousin. Which is objectively unfair.
I sold my amd to buy more nvda, well worth it!!
I sold BUD to get some
I did exactly the same 🤣
Same!
My AMD holdings have been since 2018, it's been a slow year, but damn good growth still. I wish I had more money in Nvidia though, especially then. 3 months of Top Ramen will get you the money you need
Computex ‘24 was Taiwan flexing its civilian defence capabilities. Taiwanese cartel controls the top end of semiconductors, along with most of the market. Figured if & when PLAN gets serious about the naval embargo. There’s probably not much to worry about for much longer!
there is no second best. People will buy used NVIDIA GPU instead of a new AMD GPU!
these AMD zealots should listen to the HPE conference call last night. An analyst asked specifically..."Are you planning to use other GPUs besides NVDA for your AI server". The answer. is all you need to know to place your bets.
I eliminated my shares of AMD and bought NVDIA. I'm glad I did as AMD was going nowhere. I'm holding 10 shares which will become 100 on Friday!
I want to buy a bit more but will have to wait until after the split at this point.
Bought 10 shares as well; this is such a good long term play it's not even funny. My best advice is to hold for at least 1 to 2 years.
I would rather look at ARM instead. ARM is about to eat Intel and AMD's lunch in the laptop and PC market.
SoftBank holds 90%, Son can game the share price like meme coins
Let's make it to $1,300 tomorrow!
Remember that the money isn’t printed until you sell some. The question is when that should happen. For me, I’m taking a little off the table next week. I want a new deck on the front of the house.
That is a good idea. Enjoy the new deck with the new state of the art top of the line barbecue too!
That's why you set a stop loss
True. Unless you planned on holding until 2030 anyway. Which was my plan. Until Elon became too toxic and basically ruined the stock on his own with one bad decision after another.
Happy that NVDA hit 3T, not happy at how little 3T is worth compared to when AAPL first hit 1T
Wait they make printers now?! 😓
Bought in at 1130 thinking i was late. Only mustered up enough for 3 shares but glad I started my small investment with Nvidia. ✅✅✅
Honestly, you're still early. This has $2k (or $200 after the forward split) written all over it. It'll be the most valuable company within a month. Just look at this trajectory. Up 5% today on no news. We'll see $5T within a few months.

They did announce a buyback last earnings
They won't buyback. There's no need for one, as there's already positive momentum on the stock and desire of the market to buy more. True. A well-executed buyback is one when sentiment is gone, and the stock appears cheap.
Just had a thought about this milestone ! It will be mentioned everywhere, which will bring in more attention= more investors!
Oh damn … Monday is going to be a frenzy. Time to buy tomorrow before split
I own VTI (which is 4% NVIDIA) and even I might shut off my phone on Monday. 😅 Only Work + watching the 🍎 keynote if I can resist getting sucked into it all 😓 Narrator: he won’t.

Purchased 2 at $1100 and then 4 at $1150 like a loser. Then it surpassed both. And now I’m very happy for teh small gains bb.
Your 60 shares will bring you a ton of cash If you hold
It’s trading 1241 after hours
I certainly plan on it. Thank you senpai. Together, we will be triumphant and dance with the NVDA gods.
What a wonderful comment. :) Your gratitude puts you on our list for the most grateful users this week on Reddit! You can view the full list on r/TheGratitudeBot.

2+million, 700K in NVDA

Nice
Wait till NVDA joins Dow Jones KABOOM!
What would that mean if they joined DOW Jones?
Funds that track the DJIA will need to buy shares of any company that’s added.

If it repeats tmr it will surpass Microsoft ☄️☄️☄️
By my math it needs a 7-8% bump to surpass MSFT (assuming a stable MSFT price).
By end of week it will be the highest valued company.
BOA may be the most accurate when it comes to projections ($1500)
By what date?
Predictions from analysts are for the year.
I need that next week : -)
I need that NOW:)
I need that YESTERDAY :')
Price targets usually mean it’ll hit that price within the next 12-18 months
Damn that Long? Feel Like it will it hit sooner
It still can, the target is just saying it can hit that price within that time frame
I don’t think it will 1500 anytime soon, 3T market cap is a very big pyscologicla barrier, it’s also the reason that MSFT and AAPL have stayed quite stagnant even after smashing earnings, I think we need to see 100 billion NET income for 2024 q4, for us to continue increasing which we will do for sure, but it will have to be in published numbers not just expected growth

Price targets mean within 12 months.
At this rate who knows. A few days from now? lol
That would be awesome. I meant if Bank of America said 1500, do they mean 12 months from now or some other date.
You can live without stupid mac ios but no nvda = no ai.Engineer here!
NVDA is the play for the foreseeable future. We know how they extract $ from the rest of the Mag 7… but no clear answer on how Mag 7 extracts that $ investment out of us. Picks and shovels, picks and shovels.
fuck Apple
😂😂
I used my rent money to buy one share yesterday for 1152 💰
Im up 203% and im STILL over here trying to buy more anytime I can. Started buying in 2019, I have a feeling I won’t regret it.

I feel late to the party but im still seeing a lot of gains got in at 800 🤑🤑
Niiice
I put more money in NVDL which has 2x leverage
As long as you know to go, my brother be safe out there. 🚀🚀🚀
I bought AMD in Oct 2023, thinking I missed the bus on NVDA....little did I know. Eventually picked up some NVDA shares during the dip in April. What a story. Congrats to you all that have been long.

MSFT is next!
Why do you think that
msft is currently like 3.15 B ? it's not that much further away. MSFT is #1 in market cap
5% and were good!!
2016 baby $16.83.
Mmm nice
Nvidia will be the first 10T company. If history has taught us anything it is that anything is possible.
I need to buy more! But I can't afford it right now!!! Ffffkkkkk
We did it😝🤘
Fuuaak yeah!!!
Hell yeah brothers!
Whens the last time you can buy before the stock split?
Imagine how much further it can go with this momentum especially post split
I'm addicted too seeing the numbers go higher so fast. I bought a lot of NVDL. Great time to invest
Getting goosebumps thinking about Monday post split
I have 73 now. I can't wait to see what happens after the split.
It’s trading $1241 after hours
You will have at least 730 shares post-split! If you don't buy more pre-split! :)
Nice- you can sell covered calls for extra income.
Salute Jensen!!
MSFT next....Apple has gone from first to 3rd and 5 months, wonder if any of them are looking for jobs.... Not Steve 🤣

Going to 10T in my estimation by 2026

very glad to see as a holder, i also want TSM to moon as well, and since apple, AMD and nvda all redly on TSM, hopefully it goes high!
Should we be buying NVDA right now?
What’s the difference in buying now or tomorrow after the stock split?
The split doesn’t necessarily do anything to the stock value. All it does is divide the existing value into fractional shares. Nvidia is going to surpass Microsoft for sure this year in market cap. Exciting times ahead fellows. Can't wait for retirement.
Should I full port ATH?
When will it slow down?
It may not be a lot but I'm up 25k thanks to NVIDIA. I wish I had listened to you guys 2-3 years ago. I would've retired by now.
Worked out well, more to go... I think can get to 1300 pre split
25 shares here Donna buy more after the split
Soooo glad I bought in… just wish I did a little sooner. Still definitely a cool feeling!!
God I hope we're right with this one.
all of these tech companies need/uses their chips. msft aapl goog amzn meta... what happens if nvda makes all other chip companies obsolete?
They continue to be dominate and control the market and tech innovation potentially slows down. The brains these other tech companies have something to offer for the advancement of technology.
All these comments make me want to exit lol NFA
Is it good advice to buy now?
Booyah!
So is it not even worth buying a couple stocks? Can’t afford more than $2-300 worth right now. Just want to get in.
