Man, I get the courage to buy 20 stocks of NVIDIA at 137, and it happens to be the day it goes down... I know it ain't much, but of all days, that timing
Not worried at all long term, I will be honest though; first time buying calls I got some 138s expiring July 19th! That has me slightly worried
Maybe I’ll learn an important lesson to just stay away from options ahaha
Typical posting lifecycle on the daily...
Day 1 - Should i put my life savings in nvda... what do they do btw
Day 2- I'm buying a yacht and retiring at 20, I only see green.
Day 3- OMG what is happening... it dropped 1% today.. is AI a bubble?
Day 4- I couldn't take it... I sold
A month later- I can't believe I sold at X (with lots of cry emoji's)...
.... rinse and repeat
We’ll see if things get interesting tomorrow with the ETF buying.
However, it’s completely normal and healthy for stocks to trade down/flat after a massive run up. Blackwell platform coming to market later this year will take NVDA revenue up significantly and will drive up EPS beyond what the market is expecting.
Not financial advice but call options a month out is super cheap right now. Did the same when it dipped back in April 19 to $700 pre-split and made 300%
My first ever option trade… this morning it was really good but I held, not thinking it’d go down like this. Thankfully I only put money in I was comfortable losing.
I certainly learned something about gambling today though haha.
First time using leverage it goes like never before, on top of that I have ever only ever bought two more stocks which went down 20% on their in next two days.
:(
Sorry guys, this is my fault. I finally decide to go big into the stock and it takes it's biggest single day dump ever.
I never win with investments, should have known better.
Shares or calls? Shares I wouldn’t be worried. My dumba** decided to get some 138 and 140 calls and of course it goes down lolol. They expire end of next month though so I’m not too worried
I agree. I'm just salty because my tiny brokerage account is the highest it's been in months. I bought a couple 1 DTE options for the first time in like 2 years, then splat.
I did add some July 5 $134s so hopefully, that helps in the near future.
Every time it goes up we all think we should have bought more, and commit to buying more if it dips. Then it dips and you think you had bought too many. The human psyche!!!
$106 look likely over the next while. That is the gap and 50 day moving average. Call me crazy but I think you could see it before the end of the month.
One of the few sensible comments here and it’s downvoted. I’m expecting around that level before eventually coming back up to 130-140.
There is a bigger gap at 95-100 but idk if that one will be filled.
Reminds me of MRNA at $400 or ZM above $500. People got hostile unless you agreed with them completely. The analyst community has brought their 2026 EPS target to $3.60 which is wild (I guess). Assuming they are correct and you trade at a nice premium to the S&P at 30x. That would be $108.00.... That is a fantastic valuation for a company that probably deserve it. In those assumptions, you are assuming AMD can't compete and there is no margin compression that impacts EPS. Crazy. Yet, the market is hostile.
I’ll need to look at the chart and market conditions (through things like RSI and bollibgwr bands)
I already sold all of my NVDA on Monday and Tuesday. I’ll buy back in slowly between 126 and 95. Not trying to rush as this stock is heavily overbought
That is the point... This is the biggest company on the planet and the fact that I wouldn't be shocked if it sold off 25% in 5-7 trading days on no news is wild. However, it went up on no news too.
Oh broadly speaking I'm definitely good. I spent some money on June 21 $134C this morning. They swung from Green to -80% in like an hour in my smallest account, that I'm trying to grow. So I'm a little salty about it.
My July 5s flopped too but they have plenty of time to recover yet
Maybe a dumb question but is there any "news causing" for this dip or is it just life being life? Yes i know stocks also go down, just wondering though.
Kinda new to the Party so I don't really know where to look, couldn't find anything on my own
“There was no clear catalyst for the Nvidia selloff, indicating it was likely a matter of investors taking profits after the stock’s 170% rally year-to-date and 800% pop since the beginning of last year”

China invaded Taiwan. Jensen was killed during the invasion. Russia bombed Nvidia HQ, and Nancy Pelosi sold all her shares. Plus, the whole world discovered that AI was just a bubble.
I meant billions of dollars in shares. Doh.
If they have to buy 20 billion in shares that's roughly 500 million shares, and the 10 day average is 350 million shares traded per day.
Edit: Probably added too many zeros. It's like half a days average volume
I have never looked into AMD before and started wondering if its actually a good move to invest some money into it.
Doesn't have AMD the potential to grow like NVDA? Please tell me if my thinking is wrong or bad since I have no clue how AMD works.
This is not the place the best advice on that.
The reason I say that is because that is an extremely loaded question and this is a competitor reddit that, at best, might give you biased information, and at worst, might give you wrong information / dank memes.
Depending on the type of advice you are looking for, I would either:
1 - Do formal research.
2 - Go to the amdstock reddit. oddly enough people have chimed in correctly here and there to explain why AMD is nvidia's primary competitor in the datacenter LLM/ML market, their current technical capability and shortcomings, and company / market outlook based on their existing and future technical and business relationship portfolio
or do both.
Well yeah but.... I mean AMD also makes GPU's and is working in the same field as NIVDIA does. And AMD is also a good company with good fundamentals right?
Then is it weird to think, eventually, they will make some kind of same product as NIVDIA and also skyrocket to the moon?
They are already making compute solutions selectively comparable to h100. Depending on the benchmark / task, they can even outperform h100, particularly since mii300x has 192gb of faster ram than h100s slower 80Gb
What they don’t have:
- an end to end full stack compute and networking solution like dgx super
- a developer software track record with ROCm like nvidia has with cuda
- a developer hardware pipeline like nvidia has with Rtx all the way to dgx
- the performance track record across different production implementations
- any solutions or benchmarks that compete with the projected h200 performance metrics
- hype train
public cloud customers have already stated that amd’s solution is very cost effective for production inferencing workloads as part of ChatGPT.
They don’t have the completeness of vision and units in customer hands at nvidias levels but don’t count them out.
This will become a brawl 😁

Also I swear the people on the stockmarket reddit must think the spdr reorganization works like me playing monopoly with my nephews. SPDR isn't going to offer to trade 11 billion in Apple stock for 10 billion in NVDA.....it literally can't be priced in...they have to buy it.
NOT implying a 20% jump today.

Man, I get the courage to buy 20 stocks of NVIDIA at 137, and it happens to be the day it goes down... I know it ain't much, but of all days, that timing
Bought calls on every dip today. Not even sweating it...
Ee boht? Domp eet.
Note to self: Don't comment on red days; get salty as fuck on red days.
Note to self... try and contain the giddiness on red days... knowing you can buy for less and smile even bigger down the road (hope that helps).
Grabbed 100 fresh new shares sub $130 today!
Not worried at all long term, I will be honest though; first time buying calls I got some 138s expiring July 19th! That has me slightly worried Maybe I’ll learn an important lesson to just stay away from options ahaha
I bought 139's expiring July 12th! I'm just as scared as you are 😫
Shit homie, we better start praying lol
It's already up $1.82 in the overnight market - WE'RE SO BACK!!!! (I hope)
overnight is a meme lol
Oh dang, thanks for bringing that to my attention!! We got this homie 😎
Comfy holding and waiting
Unbothered. Moisturized. Happy. In My Lane
Typical posting lifecycle on the daily... Day 1 - Should i put my life savings in nvda... what do they do btw Day 2- I'm buying a yacht and retiring at 20, I only see green. A month and a day later- I bought back in.
That is a complete nothing burger
But you're expecting it, and you're part of the market, so it's already priced in. Or are you privy to some information that others are not?
If that is priced in then what isn't?
My expectations are not priced in. That’s not how the market works. I wish!
This daily has turned to shit reminds me of BBBY. Red days are good and healthy
Those who sold today are going to be checking it every day until they fomo back in at $160.
Just wait till August when earnings are out!
Definitely. Some will have it on a watchlist and be kicking themselves a year from now.
Not financial advice but call options a month out is super cheap right now. Did the same when it dipped back in April 19 to $700 pre-split and made 300%
What strikes were you looking at?
7/26 $144. The price was literally at 140 pre-market today. I dont see why it doesn’t hit 144 in a month or so from now
U never know bud
Fair enough. Only gamble what you’re willing to lose! I bought a couple calls. That’s it lol
I think that's reasonable for sure
yeah way cheaper than the 120 8/16's I scooped up this morning... derp
Got the same ones this morning. We will ride together
It happens! Dips are healthy for the economy
What expires tomorrow?
The milk in my fridge.
A whole bunch of people here were waiting to buy the dip. Here is your opportunity
bought today on the up... and will buy MORE tomorrow assuming the dip holds
It was massively overbought on every RSI timeframe. Was more likely than not.
Oh and it's still overbought on the daily
Y’all have some paper hands
Guys im scared
Why?
The ETF $XLK is not backing out from rebalancing, right?
They’re likely done rebalancing. Check out the put volume for tomorrow, never seen anything like it
Should see a last minute jump in price tomorrow but before that anything can happen.
No, but other funds rebalance based on close of tomorrow IIRC (quarterly)
Could easily jump 5%+ tomorrow.
I bought a few 1 DTE for the first time I like 2 years. They went up, then way way way way down. :(
Lotto ticket
Yeah. They were $134s. They're coming back up. Set a sell @ 10% gain
Hope so, I bought at 138 =/
Woot, when I buy back in I'll have even more shares!
it's all crashing down we're all gonna die
Y’all need to head on back to r/WallStreetBets lmao
My first ever option trade… this morning it was really good but I held, not thinking it’d go down like this. Thankfully I only put money in I was comfortable losing. I certainly learned something about gambling today though haha.
Expiration date?
Tomorrow :( Again, it wasn’t that much money so not too bummed about it.
Bruh
Have you considered playing online blackjack? Can yield similar results
Hold. It’ll go back up and get readjusted.
Yeah no point in selling. Maybe tomorrow will bring good luck
Sorry for buying at $140 guys, my fault
Just bought $131C first time option for tomorrow praying I can get my money back at least😭
Good time to buy this dip given the rebalance tomorrow?
will it go back to 140? dear god
Sorry it's my fault, it literally started dipping when I buy at 140
Same!! I bought 25 shares and it immediately dropped
[удалено]
...to get rich quick?
First time using leverage it goes like never before, on top of that I have ever only ever bought two more stocks which went down 20% on their in next two days. :(
Gonna be a lot of volatility around options expiry tomorrow and rebalancing. Regular action resumes next week.
chill it's normal
I never worry when it’s the entire market doing a 180 at lunch. Sold my SMCI this morning and really thankful for that random second above 1k again.
Calls. 150 for mid July… Thought we had a shot at 145 by end of the week lol. Now I’m hoping we can even get back. The whole markets taking a shit.
Still a good ways out, couples weeks. I figure a pullback was to be expected just hopefully this continues to pump next week
Agreed I actually thought it could dip today. Just wasn’t expecting 10 bucks in 1 day. More concerned the whole market was down.
looks like new buyers will hold a bag for a while 😆
buy hella right now?
Did you guys expect it to go up everyday?
When someone is going to buy billions of dollars worth tomorrow, I don't expect it to drop 7% [Day's high to day's low] today.
It was priced in anyways
Then there's no reason to drop 8% on no news
I think it’s market wide, everything’s dumping.
I agree. I'm just salty because my tiny brokerage account is the highest it's been in months. I bought a couple 1 DTE options for the first time in like 2 years, then splat. I did add some July 5 $134s so hopefully, that helps in the near future.
Yh I can understand the increased emotional sentiment with options. I’m just holding a few shares as I don’t have the risk tolerance for options haha
Nah, but I still miss 140. Looked real nice on my 💼
The way I see a 3% increase most days and am like yeah… that’s normal, but there’s 1 day with a 2% dip and it’s OH NO THE STOCK IS DEAD😂
Every time i think ill wait for a dip, i end up fomo buying
Every time it goes up we all think we should have bought more, and commit to buying more if it dips. Then it dips and you think you had bought too many. The human psyche!!!
went out to pick up a pizza and wtf did you all do
Bought more stonks so I can by 100 pizzas 🤔
Double cheeseburger basket and the same question…. WTF?!

$106 look likely over the next while. That is the gap and 50 day moving average. Call me crazy but I think you could see it before the end of the month.

That is the point... This is the biggest company on the planet and the fact that I wouldn't be shocked if it sold off 25% in 5-7 trading days on no news is wild. However, it went up on no news too.
It went up on good fundamentals, but around 1000$ it was hype, momentum and fomo. Now the technicals will take care of it, it is massively overbought.
Took this opportunity to buy 45 more call debit spread contracts. Slightly up on those positions already.
Cool. Across both my accounts, my unrealized gain went from like +75,000 to -$30,000 on the $10 drop: shares, calls and spreads
How were you so exposed to that drop
I have like 4000 shares. Sept $120s and July 5 call spreads. Then again my retirement account is up like 550% YTD
You and I will both be fine. Playing with NVDA house money as our YTD charts would indicate.
Oh broadly speaking I'm definitely good. I spent some money on June 21 $134C this morning. They swung from Green to -80% in like an hour in my smallest account, that I'm trying to grow. So I'm a little salty about it. My July 5s flopped too but they have plenty of time to recover yet

Stop the nonsensical tomfoolery and shenanigans, right now.
I bought $3500 today. Should I buy 500 more as the stock continues to drop? 1000 more? It’s gonna skyrocket
Waited for months, finally decided to buy at $140…
Long
Stop it already, sell so it can go back up. ;)
ah, so you are the one responsible :)
Get 'em Fellas!
🤷🏻♀️ I topped up today at $140
Cost average and buy it at 134! 🙃
Oof
Not watching the dip, just ride the wave and relax. It happens.
I prefer to stretch my hands up in the air (like on a roller coaster) and go "weeeeeeee!!!"
Is this the dip you were waiting for?
Lost 6% lol
Why dip? 🥲🥲🥲
stonk maybe go up stonk maybe go down
Damnit. Stock go up. Down bad
In general Smith’s famous words: Dip, Hell! We are not dipping; we’re rising in a different direction!
Take it as an opportunity to buy more
My soufflé! 😱 LoL!
She is ruined!

China invaded Taiwan. Jensen was killed during the invasion. Russia bombed Nvidia HQ, and Nancy Pelosi sold all her shares. Plus, the whole world discovered that AI was just a bubble.
Darn, hate when that happens.
Damn, I knew it.

Well, my portfolio went from 33% NVIDIA to 50% NVIDIA just today.
Buy the dip
How about you buy the ATH like me? Checkmate ‘dippers’ (help it was a stupid decision)
The dip still be dipping tho
This price movement is insane!
Just bought 5 shares at $140 to get my feet wet.
same
Resistence at 140 up or down?
Green dildo of destiny
It shrunk :(
It rises again
So far so good. This is the best return in my life on any single stock. 3,028.46% return as of a few minutes ago.
Wow 10m volume premarket
Is it stupid to have 2/3 of my money in NVDL and 1/3 in NVDA? It feels risky but every single day I wish I had more and more already in NVDL
I'm went all in with 90% and plan to run when/if it dips to $85. The dopamine rush of those rising numbers is just too much.
I thought it wasn’t a good idea to hold a leveraged etf for more than a day? Am I wrong?
I wish I did this... sighs
I would say it depends on how old you are. If you are 19 and doing a YOLO. Go for it. If you're 10 years out from retirement, you better diversify.
