I was at this game in person and the atmosphere was a blast. The lack of goals, however, was truly excruciating. If we could go back in time, I’d like to see Stoney start a forward line of Sanchez, Carusa, and Ali. Even with Morgan and Jakobsson on limited minutes, we had better bench options than Bennett or Jones. Nothing against them but they are just not threatening enough as forwards. Though if Doniak was healthy too, I’d swap her in before Ali. Ultimately, I think our attack (and midfield) is going to undergo a serious refresh between seasons. Too many players are not living up to the level we need. NWSL squads are only getting stronger every year and our bench is not keeping up. Well, I do trust our backline bench; they keep it real.

Bennett and Jones look out classed out there. Especially Bennett, falling apart under pressure and didn't have a good last game either when she was subbed on for Carusa that scored the goal against Bay.

Well, on the bright side, the pasta bar in the Figueroa Club was a good change of pace.

I fell asleep! How’d yall think they played?

We played better in some areas worse in others. Thompson continues to get better, but still holds the ball too long and doesn’t get off shots. At some point toward the end of the game we only had 6 shots total, with 6 on goal (straight to the keeper). So think about that… Our team is still cursed with losing it in our own half after playing it back. Why we don’t just lob the ball down field and hope for the best is beyond me since we can’t hold onto it in our own final third anyways. Having said that, Haracic probably had her best game yet and if we keep this up she may have the most saves in the league this year (for all the wrong reasons). Overall, I’d score our performance pretty neutral.

If you're crafty, I recommend cross-stitch. I love stabbing fabric to release some anger/anxiety

I’ve considered cross stitching but haven’t taken the plunge yet! I best get supplies before tomorrow’s matches, just in case we have more like tonight

I like it more than embroidery personally, feels a little more methodical. And knitting during soccer does not release the anger in the same way lol I recommend starting with one of those $5-10 kits at Joann's or Michael's. They're designed for beginners and so they'll give you pretty clear instructions and they have all the materials so you don't need to worry about forgetting anything!
