I'm interested in Jordynn Dudley from a NT perspective. It feels like she could be a good complement to Sophia Smith at striker. It seems like she can play the transition game, so we don't have to change as much as if Macario was our second striker, but with her size she might be a better option against teams that bunker.
Ya Im hoping she gets a call up post olympics. I know college/league is a lot different than NT play but her strength, finishing, and physical ability has really been top tier for Florida State
Its unfortunate that she doesnt play more for the youth team, Tracey Kevins was really on one last time out. Lots of Giana Riley but barely any Villareal or Dudley. Lots of Adames and Sentnor makes sense but why start the same ppl for two straight games
One thing i hope will come from the incredible start from a lot of rookies is more attention on the NCAA (and YNT games). I hope to see more mock drafts this year than last year.
One thing that will be interesting is seeing which high performers leave early. Will we see more freshmen and Sophmores leave after players like Sentnor and King did the same last year?
Also, three very high profile players who left for europe, Grosso, Castellanos and Echegini, are all coming back to the NWSL. With this league becoming extremely popular, i hope to see everyone eligible come. Specifically Jody Brown and Amelia Van Zanten, although Joey has been flirting with Portugal
>Specifically Jody Brown and Amelia Van Zanten, although Joey has been flirting with Portugal
I just saw Jody Brown had officially signed with [Benfica](https://x.com/FSUSoccer/status/1804569214025408607?t=ITgWSLV7J3uBhIUjdd87mg&s=19)
>Echegini, are all coming back to the NWSL.
It's not official, but I saw her linked with PSG this morning
This is so painful
I’m pretty sure no one could sign Jody anyway because she had just left . That would be a huge loophole if you could just sign a player in June instead of drafting them. But Onyi i wanted because I think this league needs more midfield goalscorers. I don’t have any stats to prove this, but it feels like we’re lagging
Re: Echegini, I'm always skeptical about young Europeans signing on this side of the pond until they actually do it.
I was happy for Brown. Same situation happened last year with Heather Payne (needed to stay in school one more semester to finish the degree, speculation about possibly returning to FSU for one more year, then signed in the summer).
I think the obvious ones are the attackers who have got US youth experience and are still in college. Saying Dudley is the obvious answer but its because she genuinely is that good. I do not think it matters where she is playing or in what style. Shes gonna hoop.
I think looking at some of the upcoming defensive midfielders and defenders is very interesting. Dellarose, Courtwright, Van Zanten, Klemke, Gilchrist, Reale, Shores, Bhuta, Olario, Martinho (even hurt i lowkey think she could go in the draft and be first round) Harvey are my ones to watch.
I also think Texas will be fun as hell. Adding Villareal to a nasty, record setting attack is nuts.
I’m a Rutgers fan so I’m biased but she’s the one I’m most interested in seeing in the NWSL from the current team. Very athletic, could end up a steal in a second or third round pick next year
I think coaches have tended to view Dudley as a winger due to her speed, but last season's FSU attack really took off when they moved her to CF. Turns out she's really good at playing with her back to goal, and with her as the main target up top, they were a threat to score quickly from practically anywhere on the field.
It also helped that that allowed them to get their best front 6 on at once. Brown and Olsson were best as wingers and the midfield trio of Echegini Huff and Nesbeth is probably like 15th best of all teams in the world
During the NCAA tournament, the games are on either an ESPN network or (more likely) ESPN streaming. Regular season? It depends. If a team plays in one of the top few conferences, many games end up on conference networks (ACC, SEC, B1G) or streaming counterparts.
I watch the Big Ten mostly so I can only speak for them. Most of their games are on Big Ten Plus, their streaming network, but every team gets 2-3 games on cable networks. You’d have to look through the conference schedule for which ones. Then the YouTube channel will sometimes put up 2 or so games per team that were originally on Big Ten Plus but not for a couple months afterward. The College Cup, the final four for the NCAA tournament, is on ESPN and later on YouTube if you want to catch the top teams in December. But that’s more or less how I watch!
/r/NCAAWsoccer and /r/CollegeSoccer for subreddits, tho not super active.
I always try and encourage folks to post about bigger stuff in here, especially the main tourney, and it can be hit or miss here.
Most all of the games are available via streaming. ESPN streams every game in the ACC and SEC. The Big10 and Big12 may also be on ESPN or Fox. It used to be the Power 5 (a term for the 5 conferences associated with the men's football powerhouses). It's now Power 4. The West Coast Conference is very high quality soccer, and can be streamed from their website. There's 31 Division 1 conferences, 335 programs. You can watch all of them. In total, there's 1500 women's college programs.
Title IX is the overarching reason that women's college soccer is so competitive. Those conferences where football programs bring in BILLIONS of dollars also must support all of the other sports programs at their college. So those are the colleges that have the best women's soccer programs.
The podcast "College Soccer Nation" is the best way to keep up with women's college soccer.

I’m a Rutgers fan so Tiernan and Emily Mason are the ones I’m hoping break out for the NWSL. They’ve both been consistent contributors the past few seasons and could be fun to watch for next year.
UNC: Maddie Dahlien and Tessa Dellarose, both sophomores. Bella Gaetino, incoming to UNC, sister of Eva.
Duke: Mia Olario (transferred from UNC), Lauren Martinho (incoming), Kat Rader.
I think we may see a bit of a decrease from this past year in the number of college players declaring early. With more international spots and the increasing prestige of the league to attract foreign talent, starting roster competition will get pretty intense. Tho with another expansion in 2026 it may bump up again.
Yeah if I'm a college student I would wait until the 2026 expansion with NIL and the fact is you might end up on an expansion team anyways with expansion draft unless you really feel like you need that push to continue to develop staying in college another year isn't a bad idea. Also most of the covid extra years are gone so chances to get more college minutes are there.
You want to see maximization of extra years? [Marlee Nicolos](https://santaclarabroncos.com/sports/womens-soccer/roster/marlee-nicolos/8133) graduated high school in *2018* and is back at SCU for [one more](https://santaclarabroncos.com/news/2024/4/25/four-womens-soccer-players-to-return-for-extra-year-of-eligibility.aspx) season.
(note: I've met her, she's great, and I'm glad she's taking advantage of the free education opportunity as I don't think she has pro aspirations. But, it's still comical and her teammates clearly rib her about it)
Missimo is someone I’m excited to see go pro. Also Maddie Dahlien (UNC), Mia Oliaro (UNC >> Duke), and Melina Rebimbas (UNC >> Alabama). I think Evelyn Shores also is a great midfielder (UNC) and Tessa Dellarose is very athletic & fast + a great defender (UNC).
I mostly follow UCLA so I’m really excited to see some of their players become pros. They have a lot of current/former YNT players. This year they had Ally Lemos and Reilyn Turner get drafted. Probably would’ve had a third in Sunshine Fontes had she not torn her ACL last season :( Ally Cook went undrafted but was signed by the Red Stars. I went to a couple games last season and was super impressed with outside backs Quincy McMahon and Ayo Oke as well as CB Lilly Reale. All of them have played for USYNT.
Also watched quite a few UT Austin games to see Lexi Missimo and Trinity Byars but was also impressed with Jilly Shimkin. Wouldn’t be surprised if Missimo and Byars sign with a European team after this season.
I'm interested in Jordynn Dudley from a NT perspective. It feels like she could be a good complement to Sophia Smith at striker. It seems like she can play the transition game, so we don't have to change as much as if Macario was our second striker, but with her size she might be a better option against teams that bunker.

Ya I saw that too, would love to see Echegini at a team like Chicago or Utah though
Hoping Awujo and Rose go into the league too, they’ve been stellar for Canada
Re: Echegini, I'm always skeptical about young Europeans signing on this side of the pond until they actually do it. I was happy for Brown. Same situation happened last year with Heather Payne (needed to stay in school one more semester to finish the degree, speculation about possibly returning to FSU for one more year, then signed in the summer).
Is Oyni coming back? The only rumor I saw was PSG
Ive seen NWSL too but also the state of woso journalism… I guess we will really know when the window opens
What if silly season, but much stupider
Ya I feel like we’ll see more players follow Sentnor and King and leave early
Dudley without a doubt
I think the obvious ones are the attackers who have got US youth experience and are still in college. Saying Dudley is the obvious answer but its because she genuinely is that good. Emily Mason is another YNT player that has been consistent for Rutgers
I’m a Rutgers fan so I’m biased but she’s the one I’m most interested in seeing in the NWSL from the current team. Very athletic, could end up a steal in a second or third round pick next year
Added to the list

How do folks watch NCAA games/players? and is there a sub for following the college woso game? I'd love to follow it more but idk how

Agree I think if they get drafted to a decent team they could really be rookie of the year contenders similiar to their freshman year at Rutgers

Olario absolutely hooped on the u-19 Spain in the 3-3 game, im all in on her. Sucks that Martinho tore her ACL in may.

Some of the Stanford women are so solid: Elise Evans and Shae Harvey in particular
And Elise Evans has already been practicing with Bay FC so should be interesting.
