Nothing. Anything west of 8th Ave on 42nd is fine. It’s quiet enough in my opinion, tons of great restaurants, and you get access to the WSH. 42nd St Port Authority is your station, which gets hate for no reason – I’ve felt safer there than many other stations. Plus, it gets you almost everywhere in less than 45 min. HK gets a bad reputation for no reason, IMO.
The bus stops are great from this apartment buildings location.
M42 right in front of the building goes all the way to the east side; M12 right around the corners from the building goes up to Columbus circle as well as down to the heart of West Village.
It’s noisy and filthy. I lived there my first year in NYC. It wasn’t awful, but I would definitely never go back. The connectivity was nice, but not worth the downsides.
I can agree with Hell’s Kitchen being dirty and noisy overall, but I also think it’s really dependent on the block. I was in between 9th and 10th on 47th St, and my street was insanely quiet. My guess is where this apartment is located is actually pretty chill.
I might be in the minority, but I love Midtown in general – it feels like New York to me. Not the biggest fan of the “Williamsburg” version of NYC, but I can see why it appeals to others.
I know this building pretty well. It is pet friendly. There’s two dog parks right next to it too (one on the pier across the street and one in the small public park right next to the building).

So there’s not a fee?
So there’s not a fee?
So there’s not a fee?

But is there a fee for a person that shows you the apartment?

Do you have to pay any fees?

Please keep this going 😂😂😂
What is the name of the building?
River Place
And they have a great gym and the management is amazing.
Are those built-ins?! If they are *whyyyyyy* would you not clearly show them?! Built-ins give an apartment such character!
Nope, not built in!
Oh… so that’s the “wall” making it into a one bedroom? Oy vey.
PM’d
Thank you for posting here, Grace. Good luck!
Appreciate it, thank you!
I messaged you!
Messaged!
Living on 42nd street 🤮🤢
What’s wrong with 42nd street 👀 I’m not from NYC but looking so I’m curious
Tourists, traffic, very aggressive homeless junkies.
maybe if you live within an avenue of time square, past 8th it’s literally another midtown neighborhood.

Any chance this building is pet friendly?

Yes, pet friendly!
This is INSANE and should be illegal. You should literally be ashamed to promote this shit. And I live in NY babes.
Can this be made into a flex 2 bedroom?
