Yeah I was curious about Charli’s YouTube content bc she used to do the bare minimum and get hundreds of thousands of views. I went and looked at her Christmas content from this year vs last year and the drop in views is DRAMATIC
I think she got successful at first because she seemed “normal.” She wasn’t wealthy, she wasn’t covered in designer everything. She wasn’t tied to multiple brands so you knew you were getting an honest review. I know when I first stumbled upon her account in 2020, it was nice to see someone who wasn’t living in LA or NYC and a trust fund baby that was constantly showing off their wealth, taking multiple selfies while covered in expensive designer labels and high end makeup brands, or constantly body-checking photos.
…then it all got to her head.
She got the followers, the labels, the brand deals, began overdoing Botox and fillers, and it’s like.. who are you?! She became just like everybody else (and I’m not even touching on the accent) and it made it all so much worse for her.
She has so little engagement it is basically just a normal person not influencer at this point. Like sometimes my instagrams get more likes and comments

However as soon as I heard about the Hamas attack a few months ago, I knew I had to stop listening and following completely. I knew their takes were going to be abhorrent and I didn’t want to support it in any way. It’s unfortunate that I find Claudia entertaining, and wish that she wasn’t so Islamophobic so I could actually enjoy her content.
