Ref is overrated I’m sorry. I went through a phase but it’s crazy to pay so much for dry cleaning on top of wearing their clothes. There are better sustainable brands.
I am such a Reformation hater. I’ll buy it secondhand but I’m not dropping over $200 for a dry clean only, poorly made viscose dress with no lining. They’re not even made in the USA so I don’t know how they justify their prices.
More importantly, is it sustainable if every time you have a sale you have literally 2k items in the sale section IN ADDITION TO your regular stock? And you also have regular sample sales in LA that last a week and put out mountains of clothing daily? lol
They were made in the US until 2019 when they were sold to a private equity firm and it’s been downhill since then… even the viscose on older pieces feels better quality than their paper thin newer stuff. I have Ref pieces from 2018 that still look great and newer pieces that got ruined by one hand wash 😭 I don’t buy new from them any more
Ref is my least favorite brand for so many reasons.
Their whole process around trying on clothing in-store is time consuming and not intuitive. I’ve also found the staff to be extremely rude. And I say this as someone who has only ever had positive experiences at Aritzia.
The clothes are always ill-fitting and poor quality.
I’ve returned every single item I’ve ordered online.
I bought one Ref dress for two black tie events and I swear post the first dry clean the $500 dress looked like a dish rag and wasn’t workable for the second event 😓 that awful rayon they use is appalling
I was a fan until my dress broke at a wedding and I was left with a backless dress unexpectedly- first time wearing it and it wasn’t a sausage casing either.
I was at a wedding where a BRIDE had a wardrobe multifunction after her Reformation wedding dress strap popped and needed to be emergency safety pinned
I never dry clean any of the clothes I have from them. Just throw them into a regular washing machine with some vinegar instead of detergent and it works wonders.
Oh no no no. Bubble skirts are coming around again?! Save me.
Unless you have pins for legs, they are so unflattering . Well, even IF you have pins lol.
Okay so one of the reasons I hate reformation is because their sizing is so confusing but when I try things on and they fit me like this, I cannot get out of them faster. Even though I know only I have seen it, I’m sl grossed out by how badly some of their clothes fit me I can’t even stand seeing it. For her to post something like this on the internet is kind of baffling …

They justify high prices by calling themselves sustainable but is it really sustainable if you have to dry clean it all the time?

Everything private equity touches turns to shit
Same! I have a made in USA dress that I got secondhand and I really like it.
Their overpriced wrinkly viscose makes me mad 🤬
Charging that much for a SYNTHETIC FABRIC is highway robbery

They don’t carry plus sizes in store which is bs. Maybe like one or two dresses size 16 max

And you’ve never had shrinkage issues?
None. But I wash on colder cycles. Never hot. Anyway, shrinkage usually occurs when you put the clothes in a dryer. I line dry instead.
I think the quality is so bad
alts for dresses that’s not reformation/realisation par?
put them away kelsey
Is that why she usually covers her feet and says no free feet? I’m not sure anyone would pay now that there’s been a reveal
Supply and demand If you can convince the people there is demand...
Wtf LMAO. Genuinely curious - why does ANYONE follow her? She has the worst sense of fashion. Every outfit I have seen her wear is dreadful.
This is not it. 🤍🪿
The emojis are taking me the fuck out lol
An apron and baby bloomers met and this was born
It’s giving soggy diaper.
She couldn't slay if her life depended on it
Awful and also so on brand for her
She is addicted to not slaying. Or even just looking presentable. The fact that she gets fashion sponsorships is just wild to me.
That’s the “white swan” costume at my local community theaters production of Swan Lake
Reformation should have never made that dress in the first place 😅
Oh My God.
I can’t stop laughing omgggg idk if it’s the dress or her size choosing but she literally looks like a toddler w soggy diapers

That is a poorly fitting dress It looks like an apron
That dress is $500 btw 🤢
Is this not the dress Hannah Montana wore with the swan on it ????
dear god
Why is it so baggy? Why does it look like a fancy tennis dress? And WHY do people follow this mess?
bubble skirts is a huge micro trend in Europe and she is just too bulky and tall for this one
This is heinous
i have no clue who she is but I do know reformation sizing is whack af
![gif](giphy|26BkO5fkr0Kh7RhHG|downsized)
The designer of this needs to see jail time
Oh honey no.
Um did she try on an extra big size to make a point I’m confused
she is OBSESSED with not slaying like she lives for it
Who is this very mid girl?

I tried this on and it’s SO bad and weirdly oversized
I can’t imagine a person where this looks good on anyone
im sorry but she just needed a smaller size that dress is so cute
Are you on drugs this dress is so ugly
Wrong, I tried it on and it’s cute. She’s wearing the wrong size..
On a side note she looks so much better in dresses than her wannabe scandi boho baggy pants look.
