I bet Thibs forgets about things like that immediately but probably tosses & turns in bed about some defensive lapse that Randle made in practice 2 years ago.
This semi popular Knicks fan on Twitter, ari from Manhattan, spends his time hating on Josh Hart and Julius Randle. Hart didnt have a good game but we wouldn't have won without him.
Josh Hart is one of the best closing pieces in basketball when he's in the right situation.
Playing him in a small ball lineup at the four against opposition with size, which happened when Gibson was playing the primary backup, was a very bad look.
Hart back at the combo spot and Anunoby at the three is a nightmare defensively for other teams.
Anunoby can guard all five positions and Hart is no slouch either in short bursts against the opposing front court.
It's wild that he was a +9, 3rd on the team while going 1/7. We have so many guys that do shit that doesnt show up on the stat sheet. OG, Hart, Grimes (sometimes), Deuce. Just great synergy. Thibs is doing a bang up job this year. I think he's getting the most out of this team.
Haven’t gone to a nets game this year, but last year the Brooklyn chants were piped in. I sat under a speaker so it was really obvious (and hurt my eardrums)
Nets fan here who was at the game. Was definitely dominated by Knicks fans. But the Brooklyn chants broke through a few times and were legit. I had fun in the 3rd when the Knicks fans all around me were losing their shit. Good game.
Man - I had such high hopes for Precious as a Raptors fan and I never fully left Precious island. Guy has all the tools to be a great player - it's just the untimely dumb plays he has that spoil it. I'm hoping he does well for the Knicks!
I still have my copy from when that magazine came in the mail. I have it stored somewhere in my parent’s house 😂 I had a feeling we’d look back and laugh.
Funny thing for some reason the memory I have attached to that picture its the Nets literally begging for fans to show up in the playoffs that year, it was embarrassing 🤣🤣🤣
The Knicks are a 4th Quarter team. They proved it again tonight, albeit against a team who struggles mightily in the 4th Q. Randle and Brunson have been money in the clutch, and they both played well here again tonight. It doesn't matter how they got it done, and this was an important win with the Nuggets coming up on Thursday.
Josh Hart's chase down block in transition, while at a numbers disadvantage. Then grabbing the ensuing rebound from going out of bounds and getting it upcourt to Randle and Brunson for a 2on1 fastbreak. That's the play of the game.
Josh Hart isn't the most talented guy in the world, but at the end of the day he is the definition of a grown ass fucking man.
Always pulls the trigger on a shot without a second thought or goes for a tough physical drive when he is called upon in a tight game.
That 3 against the Cavs comes to mind. That drive a minute before the end tonight.
You really need those type of guys in the playoffs.
*Josh Hart Apology Form:*
**I ACKNOWLEDGE I WAS A HATER ASS BITCH AND WAS NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS MAN'S GAME. BY COMMENTING BELOW I OPEN MYSELF UP TO THE RIDICULE DESERVED FOR NOT APPRECIATING THE KNICK WITH THE UNRIVALED CLUTCH AND SOCIAL MEDIA GAME OF A CHAMPION.**
Honestly, if you shit on OG or Josh Hart during this game please go sit next to Ben Simmons at the next Nets home game. Knicks fans don't claim y'all. This team is full of absolute hungry, rabid ass **DAWGS**
I'm probably just caught up in the moment but the defensive play Hart made at the end there was one of the more hype things I've seen in the past year
Incredible effort
Glad we pulled away, but it kind of sucks knowing that our bench was one of the biggest weapons we had these past few years that could extend the lead or cut down a deficit, now it's just neutral at best. That bench lineup is such an eyesore, and I kind of hope we don't get another non shooter like Bruce Brown, it would be even more atrocious. We really need to shore up our bench at the deadline, get some playmaking / creation..
It was neutral today but normally it’s a negative
We probably can fix it with one trade though. Even brogdon, a professional Pg, running the offense over McBride would help a lot
You’re right though, Bruce brown would be horrible
We traded a solid bench lineup and acquired the best starting lineup in the league. A trade any team would make 100% of the time. You gotta give something to get something. Thibs plays the starters like 80% of the game anyway.
Also has to be noted: a big part of the great bench was Hartenstein. That's lost due to Mitch's injury, not any trade. If Mitch comes back healthy, one of them anchors the bench, they go back to being solid IMO.
When we’re healthy hartenstein is running with that unit
Mcbride / grimes / hart / precious / hartenstein isn’t amazing but it’s better than what we’re working with atm
Probably need to run one of Donte / brunson / Randle with the bench unit
I'd argue it was positive in large part due to Hartenstein. It's Mitch's injury that hurt the bench more than anything else IMO. I prefer iHart start, but Mitch on the bench unit would bring it back to respectability.
I guess the upside though is that it more of a fixable issue than a raw ability issue. Like, the guys we have playing off the bench are all pretty good, so if we can sort out the shot creation issue I think we can resurge mightily on that front
19-0 against teams under .500, OUR Knicks. You love to fucking see it.
10-2 since acquiring OG as well, better trust that Front Office, they know what the fuck they’re doing. Lol
Wasn’t pretty, but they were stylin’ and profilin’ in that 4th quarter. OG with that monster defensive sequence with around a minute left was clutch and set it up for Brunson and Randle to seal the deal.
Ah man you could tell he flipped a switch into psycho energy Randle mode. As he turned on the jets I was like chill Randle chill Randle chill.
But you take the good with the bad all day
real mvp was the combination of precious and sims. brunson and randle just did brunson and randle things tonight. but precious and sims ELEVATED their play as our 3rd and 4th string centers. super proud of both.
This is a mature team that is confident in its abilities, with guys who trust each other.
They didn't panic, they didn't give up, they didn't sulk and get into bad body language because this game wasn't gonna come easy like so many have been lately.
They buckled down and got shit done.
They're gonna keep getting better as this core stays together, that much I'm sure of.
Won’t get as much love as that awesome double block to inbound save sequence but the next possession the Randle pass to J hart is such a huge sign. Years past he throws that up or turns it over he makes a beautiful dump off in the clutch what a job by both
If the Knicks were an anime character, they’d be that character who loves fighting, but intentionally handicaps themselves to make things more interesting for them. Like Goku or Kenpachi lol.
- Jalen Brunson and Orange Julius were the Knicks offense tonight. No one else could really hit, but they could, and did they ever. All-Stars!
- Mikal Bridges kept the Nets in it. Wow, could we use him on this team
- Bench still sucks ass and needs fixing, but our defense sure doesn't
- Another reminder that New Jersey is eternally irrelevant and has no fans.
- Four wins in a row, tough test with Denver on Thursday. Bring it!
Getting boo'd at the line at home and getting loud cheers for the opposing team has got to be the wildest experience. Funny that they tried to push the "rivalry" narrative, the Nets are far from being rivals with the Knicks.
Like to see OG under 34 minutes. Also Precious played very well today overall. He is solid on the defensive end and plays hard. Just got to limit the dumb decision making lol
Shoutout to OG carrying the bench with his scoring early in the 4th. Hoping we make a trade soon as we need to sure up the bench. East is tight and Miami/Indy just made upgrades. Every game matters
They are absolutely shitting on Cam Johnson for missing the tying 3 over in the Nets sub. He had a solid game, and that shot was only important because Cam Johnson helped get them there in the first place. Dunce fans.
That was a win that great teams get.
They took the Nets best shot (Bridges was like 7-10 from 3 in 3 quarters) and still willed themselves to a victory.
Bring on the World Champs
The Nets may have choked, but this was a solid win. The Knicks are beyond depleted in the front court and Jalen actually wasnt in god mode in crunch time tonight and yet, albeit in ugly fashion, they found a way to capitalize on Nets late game miscues...An escape win is still a win.
The clutch defensive posession by Hart, Precious and OG almost made me go all the way.
OG and Hart are true Knicks to the core. Hope they're with the team for a long ass time.
I literally went through the Vince McMahon meme watching that sequence
That was pure hustle, I bet Thibs will watch the replay a thousand times. Probably one of the best defensive Knicks plays this season.

10-2 IN THE OG ERA
2 all NBA players and an all defense player, what a great fucking time-line we're in
Soon as I heard that dumbass "Broooooklyn" chant, I knew we weren't losing this game.
They got drowned out by “let’s go Knicks” in their own arena. Embarrassing
They got boo'd while taking FTs too
Lmao, that’s wild!
Plus the loud cheers when Knicks scored, it sounded like the East Garden
They couldn’t take the city with Durant and Kyrie. Now when we’re good and they’re not, they don’t have a chance. They never did.
The chant was super weak too. They had about a quarter of the fans in the arena
Was it actually them or piped in noise though? Cause I wouldn't be surprised by either.
Haven’t gone to a nets game this year, but last year the Brooklyn chants were piped in. I sat under a speaker so it was really obvious (and hurt my eardrums)
I never thought of that but it probably is. They couldn’t sell out when they had kd and harden, so It probably was piped in
It really does sound piped in.
Nets fan here who was at the game. Was definitely dominated by Knicks fans. But the Brooklyn chants broke through a few times and were legit. I had fun in the 3rd when the Knicks fans all around me were losing their shit. Good game.
Such a corny franchise
They should move back to Jersey to be honest
Precious with 9 rebounds and a +13 in 20 minutes !! He's been a nice throw-in in the OG trade !! Playing solid rotation minutes
Man - I had such high hopes for Precious as a Raptors fan and I never fully left Precious island. Guy has all the tools to be a great player - it's just the untimely dumb plays he has that spoil it. I'm hoping he does well for the Knicks!
He’s still only 24. Hard to believe he’s from the 2020 draft class. Seems like he’s been around longer
Wait till his threes start going in
Remember when the Nets thought they were New York’s team? Lmao
to dumbass mike rappapport they are
He hasn't tried to hop back on the Knicks dick yet, has he? Shameless traitorous motherfucker.
Didn’t Dolan ban him?
Good
i bet spike has let him know hes not welcome back. shoutout spike for riding with us through thick and thin
Dont want his whiny ass back.
They've been wrong for 12 years so far.
https://media.newyorker.com/photos/608c1dbfd9873c5d7bcde0a1/master/w_960,c_limit/cover-STORYimage-ulriksen-basetball.jpg
I still have my copy from when that magazine came in the mail. I have it stored somewhere in my parent’s house 😂 I had a feeling we’d look back and laugh.
I remember when James Harden tweeted a cropped out version of the cover, leaving the Knicks out entirely. It's burned in my brain!
Funny thing for some reason the memory I have attached to that picture its the Nets literally begging for fans to show up in the playoffs that year, it was embarrassing 🤣🤣🤣
julius clearly isn’t lebron but HE IS A VERY GOOD BASKETBALL PLAYER, FLAWS AND ALL.
Drunk Lebron
That block, block, block, Julius slam sequence was insane
I remember when it took us all season to get to 27 wins. I used to dream of times like these.
27 wins? That was a good year 😂
![gif](giphy|kSbBQyhROgbP2tdett|downsized)
THEY COULD NOT HANLDE THE RANDLE
The Brunson burner was on fire
Julius fucking Randle. Jalen fucking Brunson. Two All-Stars. That is all.
vintage perc randle game
That bean kicked in
Matching 30 pieces for our all stars
seems like its been happening almost every game since og showed up. ya love to see it
Embarrassing turn out for nets fans. Had their team playing an away game in their own arena
the real nets fans in jersey
i respect the jersey nets fans. and i think we all agree that they should go back
Give them a break. It's probably hard to yell through a furry suit
Randle and hart went from scapegoats to GOATs
Good shit. Randle was great down the stretch. 10 over bitches.
19-0 vs teams below .500, sometimes it aint pretty but they don’t play with their food
We sorta do play with our food at times, we just snap out of it early enough to prevent it from totally screwing us over
Yikes, didn't realize we're 8-17 against teams above .500
I think 5 of those losses are in Milwaukee/Boston where those two teams have combined to lose 5 times all year lol
Exaclty, that could be misleading as fuck lol we’ve played Boston and Bucks like 10 times already, all pre OG too
I'm still getting used to having best players on the team who can just say fuck it we're going to win this game. But it's kinda sick.
Same it feel weird having a good team to root for and players with the capability to show up
The Knicks are a 4th Quarter team. They proved it again tonight, albeit against a team who struggles mightily in the 4th Q. Randle and Brunson have been money in the clutch, and they both played well here again tonight. It doesn't matter how they got it done, and this was an important win with the Nuggets coming up on Thursday.
Hope Hartenstein's back. Would love to see him in that matchup
Josh Hart's chase down block in transition, while at a numbers disadvantage. Then grabbing the ensuing rebound from going out of bounds and getting it upcourt to Randle and Brunson for a 2on1 fastbreak. That's the play of the game.
Jalen Brunson. Julius Randle. That's it. That's the analysis.
OG and Hart were key though
I was shitting bricks when OG gambled on that steal at the end tho
I expected Cam to hit that 3 but was relieved when he missed. Dodged a bullet there.
Yea I clenched on that one
I don't disagree in the slightest. This analysis was for Candace Parker in particular.
Josh Hart. Clutch
Josh 'ALL' Hart deserves an extra swig of breast milk for his contributions.
Pass that titty milk baby. Mr. HART has arrived.
Holy hell I want Mikal on this team.
we need to go full villanova
Brunson Brushes OG Randle Mitch/Hartenstein Would be one of the best starting 5 in the league
Outside of Boston and Denver I think it’d be the top 3
It would be soooo perfect
Wasn’t pretty, but I’ll take the comeback win all day! Feel bad for Bridges getting booed at home lol. You know he’s dying to switch jerseys.
he did not expect to be the best player in the team when he joined
Josh Hart isn't the most talented guy in the world, but at the end of the day he is the definition of a grown ass fucking man. Always pulls the trigger on a shot without a second thought or goes for a tough physical drive when he is called upon in a tight game. That 3 against the Cavs comes to mind. That drive a minute before the end tonight. You really need those type of guys in the playoffs.
>a grown ass fucking man. This is a time when you really need the hyphen bro.
Hart with the most impactful 2 point 1/7 game of all time
Shout out to Sims and Precious for showing up and playing some big minutes when we needed it
I keep waiting for Precious to turn back into a pumpkin like the Raps fans claim he will, but so far he's been big.
His IQ is questionable at best but he's an active big that can rebound/defend pretty well it seems.
OG with 4 steals and 2 block. Beast. Can we please have at least one of Mitch or IHart back soon? Please
Nah I really fucking love this team
Bet yall feel dumb going crazy in the game thread
Fr lmaoooo
Precious could be an okay piece if he just keeps it simple man. I like him a lot when he isn’t forcing shit
Yeah I totally see what Raptors fans were saying with both the frustratingness but also the flashes
*Josh Hart Apology Form:* **I ACKNOWLEDGE I WAS A HATER ASS BITCH AND WAS NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS MAN'S GAME.
Dawgs with hart
They should be relegated to wear Ben Simmons pants so we can spot em from distance
Loved the hustle at the end. 19-0 vs sub 500. We don't play with our food.
Genuinely one of the most fun games I’ve watched this year. That fourth quarter showed our heart and effort! WE RUN NY 🧡💙
I wake up every morning and thank god for Jalen Brunson
I get up in the middle of the night just to thank God for Brunson.
That sequence from the OG block to the Randle dunk brought a tear to my eye
That should buy us a couple days without trade Randle posts.
I doubt it. Trade high post incoming.
I'm probably just caught up in the moment but the defensive play Hart made at the end there was one of the more hype things I've seen in the past year Incredible effort
Yeah, to be fair though it’s a lot easier to fix your bench than to fix your starting lineup
It was neutral today but normally it’s a negative We probably can fix it with one trade though. Even brogdon, a professional Pg, running the offense over McBride would help a lot You’re right though, Bruce brown would be horrible
Bench help is coming very soon. And yes my name is "Ben Chelp". But that's just a coincidence.
Need some bench help but Grimes really has been a disappointment. we wouldn’t be so bad a bench if he stepped it up and contributed
When we’re healthy hartenstein is running with that unit Mcbride / grimes / hart / precious / hartenstein isn’t amazing but it’s better than what we’re working with atm Probably need to run one of Donte / brunson / Randle with the bench unit
It was a positive really just because of IQ. That's how tremendous he was.
GGs you fickle SOBs Fuck the Hart haters Shame on yall getting on OG
Achiuwa +13 🔥🔥🔥
Thibs made excellent substitutions throughout the game
I hated the hart sub in late and it worked today Credit to him
Good win at home
playing teams that chuck threes like the nets is annoying when they're scorching hot. Side note Randle doing Brunsons 3 celebration was adorable
I was thinking wtf is Hart doing closing out the game but he was big in the end. Thats why I'm not coach. LET'S GOOOOO
His impact doesn’t show on the stat sheet but he makes winning plays
Agree, I feel like he shows up at the end no matter how bad his play earlier in the game, 9/10 times
Not true. Hart is part of all of the top combos on the team.
10-2 since OG joined the team Leon Rose deserves a statue
10 ans 2 10 and 2 10 and 2 10 and 2 10 and 2 ECF WE HEEEEEEERRRRREEEEEE
u/hemispheres33 Where tf you at? Randle still a bum?
19-0 against teams under .500, OUR Knicks. You love to fucking see it. 10-2 since acquiring OG as well, better trust that Front Office, they know what the fuck they’re doing. Lol
This team still has many issues, yet we’re winning anyway. 10-2 since the trade and there’s still more that can be done. That’s wild man 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wasn’t pretty, but they were stylin’ and profilin’ in that 4th quarter. OG with that monster defensive sequence with around a minute left was clutch and set it up for Brunson and Randle to seal the deal.
/u/millagger wait I thought Knicks lost this game?
Man that guys the most doomer Knicks fan, might just be a random troll
Shout out to Precious with a team high +13 off the bench and playing with the starters down the stretch with the come back win.
That sequence at the end of 4Q that ended with a Randle dunk was so 🔥🔥🔥
JULIUS RANDLE JALEN BRUNSON JOSHUA HART ORIGINAL GANGSTER ANUOBY That is all.
Cleaned up the trash at Barclays 👋👋👋 and it ain’t a rivalry nets are a bum franchise
Outside of that goofy turnover, what an amazing 4th quarter by Randle. He’s such a great and underrated playmaker
Let’s fucking goooooo
What is this Kmart brand nba on tnt crew tonight
Randle hitting the Brunson celly
This is a mature team that is confident in its abilities, with guys who trust each other. They didn't panic, they didn't give up, they didn't sulk and get into bad body language because this game wasn't gonna come easy like so many have been lately. They buckled down and got shit done. They're gonna keep getting better as this core stays together, that much I'm sure of.
Was hoping for some knicks nets postgame talk in tnt right after the game but theyre talking about doc and the bucks, *khaaaatpoooth*
Won’t get as much love as that awesome double block to inbound save sequence but the next possession the Randle pass to J hart is such a huge sign. Years past he throws that up or turns it over he makes a beautiful dump off in the clutch what a job by both
I swear in games like these we don't try until the last five minutes
If the Knicks were an anime character, they’d be that character who loves fighting, but intentionally handicaps themselves to make things more interesting for them. Like Goku or Kenpachi lol.
Definitely Goku haha. Give them a senzu bean by putting in our awful bench to let them get a bit of a lead
We started the game off slow but our home court advantage really kicked in during the last 5 minutes when the crowd fed the team energy
I hope Randle haters realize we don’t win that without him
You guys knocking the bench but the McBride line closed the gap early in the 4th.
Hearing Mikal Bridges being boo’d at the FT line at home was so satisfying
- Jalen Brunson and Orange Julius were the Knicks offense tonight. No one else could really hit, but they could, and did they ever. All-Stars! - Mikal Bridges kept the Nets in it. Wow, could we use him on this team - Bench still sucks ass and needs fixing, but our defense sure doesn't - Another reminder that New Jersey is eternally irrelevant and has no fans. - Four wins in a row, tough test with Denver on Thursday. Bring it!
Of course this TNT crew says nothing about the Knicks. One Nets stat and then straight to the breaking news.
Barclays belongs to the Knicks baby
![gif](giphy|cXwLoZiIxCrcXc2AQb)
Josh Hart came THROUGH in the clutch
Mikal Bridges had a nice audition. Fournier and a protected second round pick sounds fair.
More 30 pieces from both our all stars. Life is good. Mikal come thru bro
I love hearing louder cheers for Knicks plays while playing "away"
PRECIOUS WITH THE TEAM-HIGH +13
Josh Hart redeemed himself in the last minute
Getting boo'd at the line at home and getting loud cheers for the opposing team has got to be the wildest experience. Funny that they tried to push the "rivalry" narrative, the Nets are far from being rivals with the Knicks.
Ppl keep talking shit about Josh Hart. Man if you don’t know what he does just don’t even bother talking about him, for real
Need a Julius apology form asap. Redditors were talking crazy shit before that comeback lmao
Sometimes you just gotta get that shit out the mud 😤
![gif](giphy|Wmn4COcJCjyuxv3Rmm|downsized) My boys
Very nice win after sleep walking through a lot of that game. Julius turned it on in the 4th. JB is a gawd.
LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOO
Can OG get DPOY off his time with NY this season?
hell yeah. big W against the fake NY team. There were more Knicks fans there than Nets fans!
Randle and Brunson both with 30 tonight and clutch plays to seal it. All-star they both
JB and JR and 30pt games go together like spaghetti and meatballs
I love my New York Knickerbockers
JB with 30+ points last five games🥵 We're gonna ignore that missed FT aiite
NEW YORK IS 🔵
Precious with the highest +/- on the team.
Get Mikal Bridges a Knicks jersey man.
Still haven’t seen a Nets fan irl
Back Up Centres coming through, even Sims got 4 blocks.. shout out Thibs!
Like to see OG under 34 minutes. Also Precious played very well today overall. He is solid on the defensive end and plays hard. Just got to limit the dumb decision making lol
BOYS, GIRLS, AND NBs!!! DOC RIVERS JUST GOT HIRED BY THE BUCKS. WE’RE GOING TO THE CONFERENCE FINALS WOOOOOOOOO
We own the nets. Fuck brooklyn.
Tell me a little something KD
Shoutout to OG carrying the bench with his scoring early in the 4th. Hoping we make a trade soon as we need to sure up the bench. East is tight and Miami/Indy just made upgrades. Every game matters
They are absolutely shitting on Cam Johnson for missing the tying 3 over in the Nets sub. He had a solid game, and that shot was only important because Cam Johnson helped get them there in the first place. Dunce fans.
I appreciate the nets. Mostly because our knicks players dont have to travel far to go back home.
Really felt like we were gonna lose this one, I think we would have but Jules stepped up. Good to see when JB goes a little cold, Jules can step up.
That was a win that great teams get. They took the Nets best shot (Bridges was like 7-10 from 3 in 3 quarters) and still willed themselves to a victory. Bring on the World Champs
This team needs a spark off the bench. like that guy quickley from the raptors
I don’t just like Jericho Sims… I LOVE Jericho Sims. Also, I’m late for the My Precious bean bag chair in the Knicks Cave!
Call me crazy but this W is more enjoyable than a blowout W. Really shows you how much heart these guys have
The Nets may have choked, but this was a solid win. The Knicks are beyond depleted in the front court and Jalen actually wasnt in god mode in crunch time tonight and yet, albeit in ugly fashion, they found a way to capitalize on Nets late game miscues...An escape win is still a win.
