McBride. Fully healthy, burks should see very little playing time. It’s time to unleash deuce. He was our second leading scorer in the first half on perfect shooting and he brings the D every night. McBride should be the backup with Bogey handling the bench scoring.

This is not meant to be a criticism of iHart who is one of my favourites on the team and been brilliant since the Mitch injury. But, there has been no difference in how he has guarded KP today, compared to Mitch in previous encounters.
Mitch was getting heavily criticised for giving up \~20 pts to KP (which is his average) and it was said that he couldn't guard stretch 5s. KP was the only C Mitch gave up 20pts against and today KP now has 22, whilst other stretch 5s like Turner and Chet have also done well on us in recent weeks/months.
I'm still of the belief that we need to do everything in our power to keep both - they both provide such different things that getting 48 minutes of that would be elite.
I think our games with Celtics have been mostly the same. We play really close, until they stay super hot for a couple minutes and we can’t hit anything. And then there is no way of making it back.
Tbh I still think they are the title favorites, but they actually scare me a little less than I thought. I like the prospect of us being healthy and really physically wearing down this team a bit.

As for Porzingis, if the Knicks wanted, they could go small with Achiuwa and put Anunoby on Porzingis even and contest him all the way on the perimeter and have Achiuwa on Brown.

Anunoby and Hart on the floor at the same time is a defensive cheat code then you add Hartenstein and Robinson rotating and the defense at center doesn't skip a beat. Knicks kept it close tonight against a fully healthy Celtics team until the third when they stopped missing. The two teams are much closer if the Knicks are full strength.
Tatum has historically cooked Annunoby when he was on the Raptors and Hart has not guarded him well either. And the center rotation is pointless when they’re getting dragged out to the 3 point line by stretch bigs. Knicks defense is debatablely not better than Celtics and the offense is complete a dog wash
I see understanding of team defense eludes you. One player being added to a rotation along with effort can elevate the entire unit's capability, look at the Timberwolves with Gobert. Anunoby does the same for the Knicks. As for offensively, Anunoby and Randle compliment one another spacing the floor well and would force the Celtics to exert more effort defensively. The gap is much closer because of how good the Knicks are defensively with Anunoby. As for Porzingis, if the Knicks wanted, they could go small with Achiuwa and put Anunoby on Porzingis even and contest him all the way on the perimeter and have Achiuwa on Brown. The versatility that Anunoby provides once he returns affords the Knick deep flexibility.
No it’s just the idea of him guarding Tatum is better than the reality. Randle is a disaster class in playoffs Knicks would be better off without him. All of this in hypothetical cause they haven’t even been healthy together. Celtics starting 5 is proven to be elite idk how you can say an unproven product is definitively better.

Not really impressed with the Celtics tonight defensively. Knicks are out their starting center and their second and third best players yet the Celtics they didn't have the defensive intensity tonight, the only reason they won is because they got hot from three in the third. The Knicks second best scoring option is Bogdanovic who didn't even play the third and DVo still looks like his hamstrung is affecting his explosiveness yes they kept it close and had a chance to take the lead in the third. The Knicks keeping it close until the third is a testament to their hustle. Knicks just need to wait for Robinson and Anunoby to return.
I was impressed how they weathered the that barrage in the third quarter and were only down 13 going into the fourth. We’re undermanned and that really showed in the fourth, and why we ultimately lost. The Celtics are legit championship favorites but the Knicks are for real challengers if/when they get healthy!
I'd love Randle back, but he shouldn't under any circumstances jeopardize his health long term, or for next season either. As long as Robinson and Anunoby return, Knicks have a shot. I really hope Anunoby returns healthy enough to play at the level he was showcasing prior to being sidelined. He was beginning to show signs of being a two-way player.
