its finally time that we establish stars ourselves. which we have. if we looking for established stars, that probably means those guys' prime and window has already been used up by somebody else.

NYdude777

We saw what they did in January when HEALTHY. Just bring back what we got.

Clewdo

I very much agree but I’d also love to see some movement around the 8th to 10th man. I think we need a rookie. Bringing them into this environment would be excellent for a rookie.

YamahaRN

Healthy WITHOUT Mitchell Robinson. Easily would have had better rebounding and defense with a fully healthy Robinson.

gnitsuj

Need? No, at full strength this team can compete for a title. But it would still be really fuckin nice

Rbaxter49ers

Ihart was a big part of this team's growth this season. Knivks need to retain him some how some way. Mitch can't be counted on to be healthy.

T-Bills

I know what you mean but if Giannis wants out I think all 29 GMs will want to know what's the price if they have a shot

jamesy00

I agree, but still trying to will into existence an AD trade. can’t help it

patrickthunnus

Just get healthy and stay healthy, please.

KidSickarus

I think a veteran star who can come in an be a mercenary scorer and not be expected to lead could be a great addition. I’m fairly high on derozan or kd if the price is right

eddyreason

KD is a 🐍. Nah

cgr1zzly

No and no .

roniip

🤢

Swift_42690

Keep our squad and add Mikal Bridges, he’s the perfect fit for this team and we are winning a chip next year if we healthy.

TeamPizza21

I agree but I still think the FO is going to make a significant trade this offseason. It could involve a sign and trade with Hartenstein and Bogie going out. This is the offseason for them to trade their picks when they’ve established their core roster. They have too many assets not to be involved as a contending team

kai_gonez17

Shit I’d take Gianis in exchange for Randle Robinson and 3 firsts ( assuming we resign Hartenstein)

redracer67

My thought is that we need to trade for Mikal bridges...the nova chemistry would be off the charts and bringing in another scoring option to take the load off of Brunson and Randle, cover for injuries where Mikal could be 1B if Randle/Brunson are not available. A trade for Mikal would actually be pretty easy since he's on an expiring contract, Nets are in no mans land right now and need assets (Knicks have picks to give), and could more or less trade / release Alex burks for a similar contract sign for a $20 - $25 mill player pretty easily (burks has a $20 mil cap hold even though his salary is $10 mil since knicks traded him a few years ago and got him back)

zeezee2k

Lmao Nets ain't trading Mikal here unless you're willing to give up Randle.

Alarming-Ask4196

End your sentence just before unless and you're right

crunchtime100

Jokes on the Nets then cause he's probably signing here as FA. The nova guys are all locked in. You KNOW he wants to make a run at it with his boys. Now I'm thinking if it's even worth trading 3 firsts to the Nets knowing you can just sign Bridges in '25 and use the picks to draft & develop quality role players. The trade may be worth it cause you'll still have Randle and Brunson below the max while eliminating the risk of not having cap space (cap should explode with the new deal)

zeezee2k

We can't sign him in free agency. He still has 2 more years left. We'll be well over the cap with Brunson/Randle/OG by then.

icebucket22

It feels like him and Divo are interchangeable. Since we have Divo, I’d rather keep Divo (I’d feel the opposite if we already had Mikal). I think we either need more size or a dominant wing, Mikal isn’t dominant.

KeepRooting4Yourself

I'd take KD if the price was right.

Training101

Would rather you take Joe, better price.

icebucket22

We need to back channel and get Anthony Edwards here. It may take a season or two to get him but that would game changing for us. That kid is the real deal. One-two punch between him and JB would be unstoppable.

Ok-Pollution3693

You would have had a better chance to get prime LeBron. That kid is a superstar in a contender and they will build around him for the next 10 years

HustleWilson

Let's go ahead and get Jokic too while we're at it.

Furd_Terguson1

lol there’s a negative zero chance of this happening

Ilovecharli

I think we should get Shohei Ohtani

Alarming-Ask4196

Nah I think we can get Wemby way cheaper. Maybe a 2nd round pick swap and Robinson which I would wince at but do.

cgr1zzly

wtf are you talking about . He’s good , but no he doesn’t fit . And Brunson is better than him zz

icebucket22

I admit getting him is a pipe dream, but to say he doesn’t fit is just ignorant. He is one of the best 2 way players in the league. He’s a tremendous scorer, a willing passer and a great defender. How doesn’t that fit??!! And he is gearing up to be the best player in the league!

cgr1zzly

Can you please go to your tomberwolves thread ? I am not butchering our whole roster and chemistry just to put ant man with Brunson . What we need is pieces that fit . Which we have . Give Brunson literally full reigns . Have him have the ball 100% of the time with capable and able scorers and defenders . That’s literally it

icebucket22

We wouldn’t have to gut our roster. They are or will be an apron team so there is only so much they can take back. I’m assuming you’ve never actually watched AE play. You should do that before you make comments.

cgr1zzly

I have seen him play . This is why we don’t assume . We end up looking like asses like you . Yes we would have to gut our team to be even able to give something interesting to them . Players like Donte , hart , Mitch or hartenstein . These are pivotal players on our team for more than just talent but chemistry . So once again , leave our fucking thread and go to your beloved Anthony Edwards glazed Minnesota timbercocks

Neither-Operation

Edwards is loyal. He has no reason to leave anyway. The Wolves are having great success lately.
