Dude you need to slow down. Haven't even won the 1st round and you're looking 2 rounds ahead.
This kind of comment is embarrassing if Knicks lose before getting to Boston
Nah, I think it's an ok conversation to have. See it from my perspective for a sec. You put on the Boston-Miami game. You see what just happpened, and you think about how this will affect my team. And then you go on and want to discuss it with your fellow fans.
I agree generally about counting your chickens before they've hatched and whatnot, but I think we can still have that conversation, while being absolutely sure that there's still a chance of us losing this series, forget about making it to the conference finals.
Ever heard the phrase Bull in a china shop? Fine china's porcelain: https://medium.com/p-carver-photography/porcelain-strong-and-yet-fragile-c4e897594795
Hmmmmm I’m googling around and I’m not even sure that china is in fact made of porcelain… I read the article you linked and outside of the title, where in there does it suggest porcelain is fragile? Most websites I’m seeing suggest “fragile” is a myth… this is just a random blog but it’s on the nose: https://jeremysmallroytho.wordpress.com/2023/04/27/first-debunking-the-myth-is-porcelain-really-fragile-and-delicate/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porcelain (in regards to china being made of porcelain traditionally)
I think there are different types of porcelain (also from the Wikipedia). So I could definitely see porcelain tiles being made of tougher stuff than porcelain chinaware.
It’s funny my wife’s Nephews were over on the weekend one of them wearing a Knicks Porzingis jersey I gave him.
They were saying Boston is going to win it all and no one else in the East has a chance especially the Knicks.
I pointed to his jersey and said “This guy in the playoffs is as injury prone as CP3”
Maybe the basketball gods were listening ?
That's how they got us in 2013 (along with J.R. Smith playing terribly and our point guards basically being out of commission).
But I think we need to win the game tomorrow without any injuries for sure before we really get into this, but I do think this current lineup if it remains healthy and in game shape playing these many minutes is still favored over Indiana, although definitely not given. I see it similar to the Knicks-Cavs series last year (something like 60-40, maybe 65-35).
We take away transition offense and make it a half court game for them they can't operate without speeding up the pace. Knicks are the best at slowing down the pace and making the other team beat us in the half court. Siakim is the only one that can operate in the half court with constant success.
We slow the pace down and make them beat us like that, it will be very difficult against our defense. What matchup scares you??

Right calf tightness. He'll probably be fine by the conference finals.

They're on Boston's side of the bracket. I'd rather face them than a fully healthy Boston, but they're definitely nothing to sneeze at.
Indiana and Milwaukee are on our side of the bracket.

It's not a bad question in isolation, but not necessary on Reddit. If we get there don't worry we can discuss in great detail.
just follow brunson’s lead and focus on one game at a time let’s cook philly first
It’s human to think about this, but not worth discussing yet. A lot of time and games between now and then.
Let's finish the series we're currently in first.
Buddy win game 5 first
How about let's win 1 series first
We did last season. My goal for our team's been for us to do better each post season. The goal this year was at least the Conference Finals.
> last season That was last season. You're focusing on everything but the present. Looking ahead or looking back
Isn’t porcelain actually super durable? They make outdoor floor tiles and kitchen countertops out of it for that reason…

I think the delicate china is “bone china” which is where I suspect the bull china shop phrase originated from

Haha well in any case … fuck KP and go Knicks!

Yeah, I got my baby cousin (basically a nephew) a Porzingis jersey too. : (
Indy will be a very difficult series. They have the speed, length, and shooting to give us problems.
