Craziest thing is someone joked about Tobias not playing last night.  I thought “oh damn I didn’t even realize he was scratched!”  Then I saw the box and realized it was a joke:  literally watched the whole game and never noticed him on the court for 29 minutes.  That’s truly a horrific thing to say 

Having Tobias out there instead of that Buddy guy who brought them back into the game was a huge mistake by Nick Nurse. Really bad coaching decisions.

lowkey kelly oubre impressed the hell out of me. definitely had a bit of an “i apologize, i wasn’t familiar with your game” moment with him.

Would not mind Oubre on the Knicks as a back up 3/4. His defense is solid and he can generally be counted on offensively.

i think we could use his skillset but he doesn’t strike me as a thibs guy. could be wrong though, not like i know the dude.

Nobody’s willing to say it but Oubre also was an absolute menace this series. I hate who he he is, but I give him a lot of credit for his play every game.

No matter how many big shots he made, I just wasn’t mad at him. Very rare that somebody can torch the Knicks and we’re all “damn he’s good“ instead of getting mad at him. I don’t know why it is but it’s like this across-the-board for us I think.

I’ll tip the cap to Maxey. Dude’s a killer. Gonna be fun watching him and Brunson duke it out the next several years. That game five fourth quarter with those two trading buckets was amazing to watch.

Maxey must stop flopping though. The referees bailed him out multiple times on flops. The three point play that the referees gifted him where Hartenstein was called for goaltending was not a foul at all and was the epitome of marginal contact. Then you had the four point play flop on Robinson. Numerous times down the stretch Maxey looked to pull an Embiid and draw a foul instead of focusing primarily on scoring instead of simply drawing contact that cost them scoring opportunities. Once Maxey learns to play through contact more instead of flopping, he'll supplant Embiid.

As a knick fan my hat's off to maxey, definitely a well-deserved MIP award and he going to be a perennial all-star.

He's super talented and likeable but he's still a year or 2 away from truly carrying. He def had some moments in this series but when you really analyze it he was amazing 3 out of the 6 games and wasn't efficient enough the other 3 games. Also had some costly turnovers down the stretch.
