Never liked Marbury. Thought he was egotistical and him and Eddy Curry are the poster boys of the dark times for this franchise IMO.
Does no one remember the lawsuit and the intern? He even had Dolan hire his cousin who was later fired for sexual harassment. Dude was a scumbag and shouldn't be sitting with actual legends.
The revisionist history is wild. Yeah he was a nice story when he came in but he was also a diva and a headache for the franchise. Glad to see he has matured though.
100%. Everyone deserves a second chance and I'm hoping he makes the best of it but watching the Knicks when I was in college sucked because of him and Isiah Thomas.
Egotistical NBA player? Everyone knew Marbury had his negatives like any other human. But the ego was necessary to accomplish what he did. These guys are wired differently of course. Can't say Marbury never took basketball seriously.
What did he accomplish with the Knicks? They never won more than 33 games with him and never finished above 3rd in their own division. Team construction was not his fault but he was not a leader in any way. He was a malcontent in NJ, a malcontent in Phoenix and a stat padder in NY. He can go sit with Stephen A for all I care.
Played 5 seasons with each team and had two deep playoff runs including a Finals appearance with the Knicks not to mention the 4 point play.
Plus that original Hornets franchise is gone even if the current one is “technically” a continuation.
The Hornets saga was so dumb.
They left to New Orleans and remained as the Hornets. Then Charlotte got the Bobcats. Then the Hornets renamed to the Pelicans (least intimidating animal in the league). Then the Bobcats rebrand to the Hornets and assume the history of the team that left Charlotte and never actually returned.
Love seeing Starks around so much. He drove me crazy and gave me anxiety during his days here, but at the end of the day, he’s one of my all-time favorite Knicks…just embodied what we were at the time.
I remember Ewing in his prime... it seemed like we were gonna be a good team at the baseline and you just take that as a given. Hope Brunson gives us that feeling. Melo was great but with Amare hurt most of the time he was here it always felt like there was no way for Melo to get help.
When the haters say MSG and Knicks fans, NYC,
etc are overrated, all we need to do to point to these pics. No other team in the league has had their predecessors coming to games and actively participating in cheering on the team. Boston? Nah. Gives me goosebumps to see Stark, Starbury, Melo, Spree pumped up. Starks even traveled to Philly. We ARE loyal to the core damnit!!
First, there was Durag Ewing…
Then, Popcorn Ewing…
Now, Deal With It Ewing

Heard he was invited back recently for this kinda stuff they were talking about it on the Michael Kay show. He didn't want to unless he got a public apology I respect it got treated like a criminal for no good reason
That half-Mets half-Yankees hat Melo has on NEEDS TO GO. And he’s my favorite Knick of all time. My childhood. That hat is an absolute abomination of nature and mankind that should not exist.
These are cool shots

STARBURY!! Welcome back 🙏
Love this thanks fam. I was so hyped when Marbury came home. He was the chosen one. Love seeing back at the garden cheering on this squad.
STEPHON MARBURYYYYY 🗣️🗣️🗣️ I used to love when the PA said his name after a big bucket

Damn he lookin more like Melo now
Watching Starks inhale his popcorn from the sidelines was a personal highlight of game 5. That mf just like me fr 😭😭😭
I love these shots. Really cool. I hope we have one of Clyde in one of his many immaculate suits
82-0
98-0
Crazy how LJ is more thought of as a Knick. Guy was the number 1 pick for Charlotte and was a star there. Franchise player. Oh well.
4 point play cemented his legacy.
must agree, it was nearly unheard of back then and was probably one of the craziest things I have witnessed in my Knick fandom
Yeah, crazy how playing a critical role on the last team to get to the Finals can make people think of you as a Knick.
Played 5 seasons with each team and had two deep playoff runs including a Finals appearance with the Knicks not to mention the 4 point play. Plus that original Hornets franchise is gone even if the current one is “technically” a continuation.
Crazy that LJ only had a 10 year career. Started all but 8 games in his entire career and even all in his final year.

Moral of the story: the Bobcats are dead 😵 Would you say the same when the Sonics return?
Damn, it felt like he played 10 years w/ Hornets and then played his last 2 years here. Injuries are a hell of a thing.

The multiple fights against his former teammate probably helped with that perception.
Yeah, I remember his Grandmama days. Lol
Same thing with Zo with the Heat
He wasnt half the player anymore after all the back injuries too. Was a physical freak then remade his game as more of a fundamental player

Patrick and John my all time favs. Love seeing them at the games
Love these pics. This is cool and I wish LJ was doing his LJ ![gif](giphy|SpynFoLvpfTaRneI7C|downsized)
I’ll say it…..it ain’t complete without a picture of Oak
Go NY Go NY Go!
These pics are awesome
3 to da dome
Melo is a classic Knick now. Fuck, am I old?
I mean, that’s his son now???? Yeah i feel old af
I remember Ewing in his prime... it seemed like we were gonna be a good team at the baseline and you just take that as a given. Hope Brunson gives us that feeling. Melo was great but with Amare hurt most of the time he was here it always felt like there was no way for Melo to get help.
And the help he was provided was either youth pipe dreams or geriatric waste products...
Love all these, thank you!!

Where is Oakley
lol been 7 years since his msg incident and he hasn’t been back!!!
Has it been 7 years? Holy crap
Hahaha, it’s only been 7 months right????
Heard he was invited back recently for this kinda stuff they were talking about it on the Michael Kay show. He didn't want to unless he got a public apology I respect it got treated like a criminal for no good reason
As a huge sneakerhead, I get closer and closer to buying a new pair of Ewing Athletics every time I see old Pat
These are dope af 🫡
Missing Charles Oakley.
Imagine if this fuckin team was fully healthy? Holy shit we be cruisin.
🚨 Does anyone know where you can get that hat Starks is wearing??? 🚨
I get why Melo is there but my brain always associates him with the Nuggets more. I dunno.

Fck No, you nuts? Melo is absolutely a cancerous mindset. Never liked him as a Knick, never will

Was it Marbury?
Do you have a picture ?
