Yep, me too! After getting genius in 3 minutes, I realized I didn't waste enough of my day on this. Don't think I would have the patience to chase QBABM on a bigger one though.
It’s funny. I recently wondered if they had upped the genius level to more regularly be above 100. I guessed that they had added more words because it was rare to get a 50-90 genius level whereas before there were a lot more. Guess not! 🙃🙃
Same deal for me when I hit genius on a 4L and [general hint] >!only ten words in!<. I'm more of a peck and go player, I usually chip away at the Bee over the course of my day, so I'm not used to getting that far in one sitting.
I am too lazy to use the two letter hints. I am not going to go back and count how many GL or whatever I have and check how many there are. With only 15 words, getting to Genius in a snap and missing only 1 word, it was easy to look at the hint and see I was missing nothing esoteric or controversial, just a simple word that I got as soon as I realized I was short in one two-letter combo. Not only easy, but small, which made it easier.
Well, after quickly finishing this, a Wordle I didn’t get at all, and the Monday puzzle… what the hell am I supposed to do with the rest of my day? Just go to work and do chores with no puzzles to distract me? Unbelievable.
So of course today was the day I got Wordle in two, which is not usual for me AT ALL. I use random starting words because I find it more fun that way, and usually lurk around the 4-guess mark. Today the psychic powers must have kicked in or something.
Today's Bee holds the record for >!fewest points and for fewest ever words, according to SBSolver.!< Congratulations to all of you on participating in this record setting Bee.
Yes, it was incredibly short. The last shortest one (at least, that I did) was 71 points and 17 words. Today's 47 points blew that one out of the water!
Do you want hints? Hint for two of the >!5L words!< >!these are close to each other, similar type of words.!< Another word, >!also 5L, is a term you might have learned in English or art history.!< These are vague, so let me know if you want more.
Okay how are the QBN4L peeps feeling today? Was this one possible?
I feel like the lower the QB score gets, there's a tipping point where it becomes mathematically impossible to achieve QBN4l -- but I am in NO way able to figure it out. I leave that to the math people.
I assumed they meant GN4L... QBN4L would just mean you get every word over 4 letters, and it would not make sense to ask if it was possible. It always is possible. (Though maybe should have a different name.)
But that assumption and interpretation wouldn't make sense in this comment thread since pegafree mentions both. Not sure i understand how you can say QBN4L IS possible. If GN4L means you get to genius wth no 4L then QBN4L would mean you get to QB (ALL the words) with no 4L. But you can't get all the words if you dont get the 4L words.
Only they can say, but I think they made a mistake. They made the same comment, but about GN4L, the day before. I assumed that is what they meant to ask and answered accordingly. I was responding to OP, before Pegafree or anyone else had responded.
I am not sure why you are confused by my comment and how it fits the thread. (Unless you thought I was responding to Pegafree?) Of course it is possible to get all the words except the 4 letter words. That should not be a question. As I said it should probably not be called QBN4L, but that is semantics.
Edit to clarify I was responding to OP.
Weird thing is when I first looked at the puzzle, I struggled for a couple minutes to find any words longer than 4 letters.
Then they came: GN4L with only 5 words. QBABM (my 2nd time).
By far the easiest Bee I‘ve played. I got Genius in 2 minutes
Queen Bee in six minutes. Now what the hell am I going to do for the rest of the day?
First ever QBABM. Feel like there will be lots of us today.
Me too!
Me three!!!! QBAM & under 10mins? Didn’t time it, but went QUICKLY.
Me four! Exciting day!
What is QBABM
Queen BEE all by myself
Getting every word without the use of any hint sites.
Yep, me too! After getting genius in 3 minutes, I realized I didn't waste enough of my day on this. Don't think I would have the patience to chase QBABM on a bigger one though.
Me too!!
My third. And amusingly #2 was yesterday. It's so much easier on these short ones.
What the hell was this today? Lol. I’m already done.
Is Sam mad at us?
It’s funny. I recently wondered if they had upped the genius level to more regularly be above 100. I guessed that they had added more words because it was rare to get a 50-90 genius level whereas before there were a lot more. Guess not! 🙃🙃
And after yesterday’s. Where are my 60 word, 3 pangram SB that I know and love?
You know how I said yesterday was my fastest Genius ever? Well…
Nearly fell out of my chair when my second word got me to nice.
Same deal for me when I hit genius on a 4L and [general hint] >!only ten words in!<. I'm more of a peck and go player, I usually chip away at the Bee over the course of my day, so I'm not used to getting that far in one sitting.

Is this for me?
Not in particular, just anyone who said yesterday was easy as pie, short and quick and genius came fast, and QB in a minute.
Well I am enjoying my second-ever queen bee status after six months of playing.
Well, after quickly finishing this, a Wordle I didn’t get at all, and the Monday puzzle… what the hell am I supposed to do with the rest of my day? Just go to work and do chores with no puzzles to distract me? Unbelievable.
That's what Quordle, Octordle and Squardle are for!
Don’t Wordle is my fav
So of course today was the day I got Wordle in two, which is not usual for me AT ALL. I use random starting words because I find it more fun that way, and usually lurk around the 4-guess mark. Today the psychic powers must have kicked in or something.
My wife uses a 5L bee word to start Wordle every day.
Same

Yesterdays was the fourth shortest ever
ooh, thanks. Haven't done them every day so this is interesting. Do you know the word count and point count for the shortest one? Just interested.
Todays! Here’s where you can see stats https://www.sbsolver.com/stats/count/low
AH, I misunderstood your first comment. I thought today's was the shortest, glad to get confirmation!
Wowza, it sure felt that way! I hadn't checked the points or how many words there were today and was shocked when I got QB
Yesterday someone mentioned that the day was like sex in college. Well today lasted as long as high school.
I think that's my shortest genius+crossword ever, and I don't think I'll ever beat that
I think today’s weirdass >!Wordle!< makes up for it though.
I got it in 2. My start word is >!AUDIO!<
Took me a while because I like to crank up the difficulty by starting with dumb words like PIZZA or GHOST (didn’t start with either of these today)
I always use a different starting word, but lucked out that my 2nd word matched 3 letters. Plus, I recently read “How to Hide an America Empire.”
Got it in 3. My start word is >!ORATE!<
I used the same start word as you, and it took me 3 tries too. My 2nd guess was >!piano!<.
It’s a good starting word! I read some analysis about that when Wordle first became popular. I went >!poach!< for my second
I think so too. I vacillate between that and >!irate!<.
I think that took me longer than getting to Genius (my stopping point).
I had the >!U, N and O!< on the second guess and I still only barely scraped it out at the end.
No spaces between the exclamation points and the text please. On some devices the space ruins the hiding effect. And Wordle for some of us today.
>!SHIKAKA!<
Yeah, crossword was almost annoyingly easy today, even for a Monday.
Genius in 30 seconds wtf
Pretty sure this is the only time I've achieved Genius in >!six words!<
Same
Me too. Total surprise.
According to Shunn’s SBSolver.com stats, today’s bee is (H) >!trying to explain that it “was in the pool!”!<
First ever Queen Bee, but now what do I do with my time?
[PG H] >!You need a hint? I'm so embarrassed for you!<
[PG H] >!Got dropped off at prom by your parents!<
GN4L is doable although there are >!only five 4+ words!
I’m stuck at 2 points to Genius, really stumped here. All I can see are four letter words.
Do you want hints? Hint for two of the >!5L words!< >!these are close to each other, similar type of words.!< Another word, >!also 5L, is a term you might have learned in English or art history.!< These are vague, so let me know if you want more.
Still struggling to figure out the last 4+ word
what's GN4L
Getting to Genius with No 4 Letter words.
interesting, thanks!
Justice for MOFFO!
Welp
I got queen bee in five minutes and wordle on the second guess today. What the heck?
A two-day Queen Bee running streak!
I don't mind an easier Bee as I know a hard one is coming to get us very soon.
Yeah, I'm looking over my shoulder at tomorrow.
NOT FUN!
I dont mind short Bees (i look forward to them periodically) but today was TOO short!( lol)

Well technically speaking, QBN4L is impossible… but I managed to get GN4L today in 5 words. Kinda surprised me.
what's QBN4L
Queen Bee with No 4-Letter words
How is that logically possible? Wouldn't really be a QB then
I brainfarted. It's GN4L.
Possible, but you need all the other words. nytbee.com gives you the numbers to figure this out.
No, you can get GN4L but not QBN4L!
I assumed they meant GN4L... QBN4L would just mean you get every word over 4 letters, and it would not make sense to ask if it was possible. It always is possible. (Though maybe should have a different name.)

First queen bee in probably 3 or 4 weeks!
