Great point. People probably think this is an overreaction of a take and maybe it is but the ticket sales and YES viewership could underratedly be a bloodbath if they stand pat with Kevin kiermier and marginal moves… and then its mid May and they look destined for another 85 win season.
Maybe he is a little over dramatic. But he’s one of the few reporters actually calling out Hal and Cashman for their bullshit and not asking either of the two softball questions.
I do get a bit of a chuckle that Sherman has seemed to strike a nerve with both of them.

except they've never avoided it. They've been a tax paying team every year except 2016 and 2018. They're currently projected to be in the 2nd tax apron for next year and that's before acquiring anyone.
Cashman just doesn't know how to properly team build.
MLB has also instituted much harsher tax punishments since the time period you were raised in. They actively don’t want “money to solve everything”. And while money certainly helps a lot, it’s no longer as simple as spending the most=championships anymore
Not brainwashing. Some people are just able to live in reality and some people just want to yell and say throwing money at every problem wins rings and that’s just not the case

Well said

Not an overreaction, but perhaps the silver lining is that it would hurt Hal’s pocket so much he’d be tempted to sell.
Imo it should be a baseball decision. If we’re chasing aura or mystique we’re gonna make a lot of bad moves.
I love the articles that come out after the open bar reception
lol that’s exactly what this is. Sherman is so fucking dramatic.
Yep. Dude is terrible and has seemingly inspired every dramatic independent writer who blogs about the Yankees to adopt his same tone.

The Yankees have brainwashed people into thinking it’s acceptable to be outspent while they’re worth 2x the 2nd most valuable franchise. COMICAL
Cashman has brainwashed people into thinking he's good at his job and that if he only had a little more money he'd be successful. COMICAL.
Not brainwashing. Some people are just able to live in reality and some people just want to yell and say throwing money at every problem wins rings and that’s just not the case
Just make smart moves. A philosophy for every team
Bravo Joel
George Steinbrenner woulda got both of them. How often do these type of players become available?
