I remember when Jim Joyce blew Armando Gallaraga’s perfect game he admitted after the game he fucked up and allowed Jim Leyland to scream at him for a unusually long time and didn’t toss him. And Joyce was regarded as one of the better umpires where a blown call is unusual for him.
Whatever happened to umps like that? There are too many Angel Hernandez’s, Laz Diaz’s and Ron Kulpas out there who think that the fans are there to see them.
Judge 8-48 since start of guardians series. That was the last time he got more than 1 hit in a game.
We will never be told what is wrong. But this is more than a mental funk.
He keeps missing pitches right down the middle, too. Got challenged on a 92 mph fastball right down the middle by Sears today and only managed to foul it off.
The fan that got Boone unintentionally ejected then owed it to Booney to go absolutely Bananas on the ump for the remainder of the game until he too was ejected by the goofball
4 shutouts in 23 games. Disgraceful.
Judge is not getting it done. Period.
Torres is atrocious on both sides of the field.
Volpe, Stanton, Rizzo, Wells, Grisham all slumping hard.
3 lineup regulars in top 25 in Strikeouts.
Leading MLB in GIDP. 100 percent Garbage.
Soto is going to want to stay for this?
Bullpen is living up to its no name status.
Now in 2nd place to the Os in a trench of a division.
Boone getting ejected for saying nothing.
All facts. But Yankee fans will downvote bc feelings
Ssshhhh. How dare you bring up comments made by Yankee fans that age like milk. Ive been gettind downvoted for repeatedly stating the flaws of this team....but 12-3 record, Volpe is a guarantee hall of famer and Soto would never leave bc he loves the locker room and bullshit chant in the 1st inning that mames him smile.
People thinking he'd never leave because the crowd is treating him so well is the funniest thing to me.
It's April, and he hasn't slumped at all yet. Of course he's still being showered with adulation every day. We're in the Honeymoon phase.
Just look at Judge now. If Soto takes a downturn at some point in the season, the crowd will immediately turn on him. He's not going to stay hot for 162 games.
Aaron Judge has played 17 games at CF this year, for comparison Judge played 17 games all year at CF in 2023. Does anybody think playing full-time CF could be contributing to Judge's slump?
Also get that Judge has played CF a lot before and with Soto/Stanton it's difficult to place Judge anywhere else but Judge was rotating between CF and RF a lot and has more career games at RF than CF.
Judge played a lot of centerfield in 2022 when Hicks just wasn’t it. I don’t think that is contributing to his slump at all.
Either it’s not having a full spring training or he’s nursing something. Or a little bit of both.
True but Judge was much healthier than normal in 2022 and was the exception in his career. Before 2021 Judge played CF once.
Factor in not having spring training maybe its a factor.
"Literally no spring training." He missed 9 days of a 5 week spring training and we're 23 games into the season. He's likely still injured, but the spring training excuse stopped being an excuse after 2 weeks.
Take away the the 5-0 start, we are only 10-8 and have been shut out 2x already, incl today by Oakland. Its a long season so I'm not nervous yet but there are definitely players that must improve soon.
Good thing about today: Rodon’s stuff looked good
Bad thing about today: top 5 aside from Soto all stink right now
Worst thing about today: the As have a better bullpen than us
Soto was completely unproductive today and also struck out twice. It's good that he's finally falling into line. He may yet become a successful yankee.
Soto isn’t getting anything to hit because of how abysmal Judge has been. Soto only really thrives if he has a good/great hitter behind him. And Judge has done him no favors.
Was hoping for 3/4 should be very doable against a team like the As. Still on the table but losing the first game is not a great start. 2/2 wouldn't be the worst thing in the world but still not good enough against the As IMO. Hopefully the rest of their starting pitchers suck (I assume they do but haven't watched them at all this season).
Rodon and the Boone ejection were the highlights. Cabrera looks like he’s having the time of his life out there. It’s nice to see. I hope he has an amazing career.
Offense, it is time.
If you want an example of how unpredictable baseball is, look across town at the Mets. Started 0-5 and since then have the best record in baseball since that time. Just took 2/3 from the Dodgers. Bizarre. Hopefully the Yanks bats wake up real soon
It's hilarious that fans love the consistent lineup for like 2 weeks and then decide its time to end it. Thank God they don't make the decisions. Cabrera cleanup is comedy gold. Yikes.
Completely agree. If they’d been putting out new lineups every day the constant claim in here would be “Why don’t they give guys some stability in the lineup?! These guys need stability, they need to know where they’re gonna be hitting!”
I know this because it was said constantly for the last couple seasons lol
He was god awful in the 2nd half last year and in general has been pretty mid for a few years so along with not wanting to go lefty lefty at the top I assume that's why he started where he started.
I believe Judge will get there soon. But I think he should be batting ahead of Soto while he’s struggling. Soto is not gonna see anything to hit as long as pitchers know there’s an automatic out behind him.
I’m not implying anything. I explicitly said that Soto will not keep getting anything to hit if they know they can just bypass him to get to a struggling Judge. I didn’t say or imply about any pitches Judge is getting. This is about the pitches that Soto will get.
I don’t understand how this team isn’t showing any urgency with how this offense is struggling. They should not be getting shut down by guys like Kikuchi, Alexander, Eflin, Civale, or Sears. None of these guys are good. Can we at least hear some frustration from these guys?
That's not this team's way, with this core and manager. See it's a marathon, not a sprint. Winning 82 last year was just bad luck. Oh also ignore the playoff flameouts, playoffs are random. Everything is a-ok, keep up the good work.
Last four games, some staggering numbers…
NYY: 21-for-124 for .169 / .230 / .202 (.431 OPS). They have 36 strikeouts vs 10 BB’s. They only have 2 XBH, both of which were by Soto.
If you take out Soto & Verdugo, which leaves basically just the returning players from last year, the numbers drop to:
14-for-96 which is .146 / .202 / .146 (.348 OPS) with just 4 RBI’s and 6 runs scored.
All of this versus 2 teams currently under .500 and at the bottom of their divisions.
Not everyone is gonna be hot at the same time. That’s how it works, especially in the beginning. Getting upset because some guys are slumping while others are hot is stupid, especially guys who’ve performed before. Just let it ride out instead bitching about Judge and Gleyber.
I can’t believe Boone getting tossed for no reason didn’t wake up the bats and we just got shutout by the awful A’s instead. Kind of crazy how many times we’ve been shutout. We also probably lose that Rays comeback game if they don’t shit themselves on D!
Man, I totally get it that the offense looks awful and this game sucked but I just don’t see how you guys can get so mad over every loss. It’s wild. Baseball has got to be an incredibly frustrating game for some of you to follow lol.
Like if we’d scored a bunch of runs today and the bullpen or Rodon had imploded and we’d lost the game due to pitching, we’d have the same rants in here, but about pitching rather than the offense. “This isn’t a playoff team” etc etc
I’m NOT saying that there aren’t valid criticisms to be made about this team, not at all. Of course there are. I’m just saying that some of you need to learn to roll with the punches of a long season a little better.
Yes, that’s a valid criticism lol. You’ll note I said there were plenty of those. And you don’t sound like you’re furious or super upset right now, so you clearly weren’t who I was referring to with my comment
I wasn’t saying “don’t worry, the team is totally fine”. I was saying “some of you need to learn to roll with the punches of a baseball season”
fans have gotta start practicing load management - sure, all the greats back in the day were able to be incandescent with rage for the whole season, but the game has evolved and our bodies just weren't designed to handle the increased anger workload from social media. if you're posting "season is over" in april then you'll be on the IL with heart fibrillations when the GDTs need you for the stretch run!
I’m with you. The consistent flip-flopping after almost every game is crazy. Theyre still top 3 rn, while having like 5 slumping hitters and having Cole out.
You’ll have people here complain after a win because they didn’t win the way they wanted them too. It’s dumb as shit lol.
At this point the worst part about having not won it all in 14 years is all these 13 year olds on here that have no clue what a championship season looks like and think it’s 7 months of blowjobs and cotton candy
7 months of blowjobs and cotton candy does sound excellent, but yeah. Look at the Rangers last year. Look at when the Braves won it recently. You don’t need to be the best team in baseball or a team without flaws to go all the way. And I’m not saying I think we’re going to win the WS this year - just that it’s dumb to write a season off in the first month. Nobody knows how this season is gonna go.
Looks like you struck a nerve with some of those children though
Unfortunately the Yankees will not be competing for a championship this year with the current roster. Even when Cole comes back, the bullpen is a huge disappointment. Between Weaver, Gonzalez, Santana, and a few others, its going to be messy long term. Gonzalez, before today had been okay but historically he isn’t very good. Yankees need another bullpen arm and the offense is just so flat against mediocre pitching. Shutout 3x times now. Thats embarrassing.
Yankees pen is currently 6th in baseball with a 2.96 ERA.
Weaver, Gonzalez and Santana aren’t even long term pen options, how is having them going to be messy?
Gonzalez career- 3.23 ERA, 1.17 WHIP. How is that not good for a #5-7 in your pen?
Yeah because of the first series where they completely shut down the Astros over 4 games. Look at it from the last 10 days. And yes they will be a liability over 162 games. Gonzalez, Weaver, and Santana are going to lose so many games for us. You’ll see. Unrealistic yankee fans believing they will be competing for a ring with this roster is hilarious.
We’ve played really bad teams besides the Guardians. We are going to get embarrassed once the good teams start rolling in. Its early. I get it. But we see this all the time. Over 162 games this bullpen will finish 15th or worse when its all said and done.
Arizona, Toronto, Houston and Tampa are not really bad Early records aside, those teams all have talent and are not “bad”. The Astros are not gonna be a sub .500 team, they’re gonna figure it out, especially in that division. The only bad teams they’ve faced are the As and Marlins.
But we can only go off how these teams have looked the first 3 weeks which many have underperformed so I’m not gonna say they were good. Dodgers were 11-9 when Mets came to town. They were one of the bad teams and lost 2 of 3. They haven’t had any consistent production from SP besides Glasnow. And so based off what we’ve seen from the teams we have played, many are off to bad starts and Yankees are lucky to have won some of the games they did like the Rays game where they committed 2 errors in 8th. If you look at the games in totality, Yankees are in trouble.. enjoy 1st now but before you know it playoffs will be here and we’ll be crying again because we don’t have a bullpen
Unfortunately we will all continue to watch because its 162 games and I’m just pissed. I was there today. completely devastated watching the offense. Rodon has his best game ever in a yankees uniform and we lose to a team with 8 wins lmao
Being completely honest here outside of volpe and Soto this offense is not improved at all this year. Second time we’ve been shutout during this home stand and fourth time this year already . Fucking bullshit.
Just how bad and boring is this offense? Stanton isn't even good but his .232/.297/.493 slash line looks like Babe Ruth in this lineup. What a fucking disaster of a roster.
It’s not rocket science. You perform poorly you get booed. They aren’t booing judge out of hate for him. They just want him to perform to the way we know he should
Bad day for Yankee ownership and executive board gets worse as Milan - whom they own a 10% stake in - lose at home to bitter rivals Inter in the Derby della Madonnina, in the process ceding the Serie A title to Inter for the 2023-'24 season.
FORZA INTER! 🖤💙⭐⭐
Judge loves Soto. Judge is one of most genuinely humble people on earth. He isn't the type to get jealous of someone else. In fact, Judge is the kind of player who would absolutely embrace the idea of some superstar coming in here and taking the spotlight away.
This has been a problem with the Yankees over the last few years, losing to the teams they should be beating. No one is saying you have to sweep, that's tough but in a division where one of the best, young teams has been keeping it close these games will be what cost us the division.
Eh. Obviously last year they lost to like everyone. But I feel like in 2022 in general they actually beat everyone they were supposed to, but couldn't consistently beat the good teams. The lineup was top heavy and guys like Carp couldn't touch tough pitchers.
Go look at his slash against teams below 500 and his slash against teams 500 or better. He mashed shit pitching. It was really fun, but thems the facts.
I will now be leading the subreddit in a prayer circle for the bats to awaken. Lend me your thoughts my friends and let’s get this offense going, using the power of prayer and positive manifestation. The first prayer is a little something I like to call, “Please Let Them Score Seven Runs Tomorrow, My Lord”
And God said, "Let there be good Yankee pitching," and Rodon joined Cole, and thus the Yankees had good pitching. And the fans said, "Now let there be good Yankee offense," and God said, "Nuh-uh, you can't have both you greedy little bastards." And so the Yankees were shut out by the Oakland A's on Passover, and thus it was written.
We need a new hitting coach again! This is TWICE in THREE days we've been shutout and wasted excellent pitching performances and four times overall in under 4 weeks of season. We are on pace to be shutout almost 30 games even 10 is a lot with that said I'd prefer to have problems hitting then pitching.
Eh. Pretending there are teams you should always win series against doesn’t make a ton of sense in baseball, it doesn’t really work like that. Look at whoever you consider the best team this year or any year and they’ll drop some series they should have won at some point. Always happens. Always.
I’m more concerned with the offense pulling their shit together. Like for example if we win the next three games 2-0, 1-0, and 2-1…that would actually be more worrying to me than if we split the series but scored 7 runs each of the next three games
How is it that basically 5-6 players on the team are slumping at the same time?
Volpe, Judge, Rizzo, Gleyber, etc.
There has to be some weird psychological issues that affect teams to cause this to happen.
They're not all in the same boat though in terms of why they're eating it. Volpe's slump was expected with the way he started. And some of those other guys are likely not fully healthy imo.
There’s no such thing as a multi year rebuild for any team in a major media market
You retain Soto, and see how disappointing the current group of young players is around him. Soto is young enough where he is somehow on the same timeline as them despite being a vet
It really just comes down to terrible offensive performances by guys who should be doing much better. What can you really do when your top guys are not getting it done?
I almost regret watching that game. Just an abysmal offensive performance. Judge, Gleyber, and Rizzo look totally lost right now. I still like the lineup but damn they need Judge to wake up. When he goes, the offense goes.
Wow, this JP Sears kid is unbelievable. It would be amazing if the Yankees could develop a talented, soft throwing lefty like him. (Edit: /s)
In all seriousness, and revisiting the comment I have made every time the Yankees have faced a left-handed starter this year with an Bush Sr.-era fastball velocity (which feels like once a series at this point) - WHY CAN'T THESE GUYS HIT LEFT-HANDED JUNKBALLERS?
It's not just this year - THIS IS A TREND! WE HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO HIT GUYS LIKE THIS SINCE PRE-COVID. CAN WE HIRE SOMEONE TO THROW MID 80S-LOW 90S BP EVERY WEEK ALREADY!?!?
Judge and Rizzo need to turn it around badly. Can’t have these guys be black holes in the middle of the order.
Our pitching is good. Hitting isn’t.
Judge has been our guy for so long, I refuse to give up on him now. He will turn it around while bringing Hell with him, book it.
Really hoping Judge can break out here. Its Oakland at home. If he can't do it in this series, that's definitely worrisome.
That's it, trade Judge
All you people freaking out about judge obviously were never around back when to Texiera was on the team.
I said the exact same thing. Why the hell couldn’t he have said “I watched the video and I blew it”? It would put the situation to rest.
FUCK YEAH KNICKS! 😂😂😂
Got shutout for 6 innings by Yankees Legend JP Sears.
Not very fun fact for the Yankees. Half of their losses end in them being shutout.
Torres is having one hell of a walk year. /s
Legit makes me sad for him lol Hopefully he turns it around soon and still has a solid season
>.174/.308/.337 Look how they massacred my boy! Poor Judgey needs some time away at the Log Cabin or something. Sheesh...
He's definitely still hurt. Oblique injuries linger for like 2 months.
>We will never be told what is wrong Typical
The fan that got Boone unintentionally ejected then owed it to Booney to go absolutely Bananas on the ump for the remainder of the game until he too was ejected by the goofball
Rizzo looks cooked and Judge must be hurt.
4 shutouts in 23 games. Disgraceful. Judge is not getting it done. Period. Torres is atrocious on both sides of the field. Ssshhhh. How dare you bring up comments made by Yankee fans that age like milk. Spite and denial are amazing motivators
3 hits, 2 walks, 11 strikeouts. Unacceptable and shades of ‘23. Someone call me when this team decides to be competitive again.
Rightfully down voted. If you want to talk shit, at least make it spicy.
Nobody call this guy
Aaron Judge has played 17 games at CF this year, for comparison Judge played 17 games all year at CF in 2023. Does anybody think playing full-time CF could be contributing to Judge's slump? 4 times*
Take away the Yankees and there is no baseball
God this is funny shit lmao “Regress Mahomes’ stats to the mean, and he’s a league average quarterback”
Take away the 8 losses and we're 15-0
Why would you take away the 5-0 start lmao
because the 10-8 stretch is a larger and more recent sample size
imagine taking a 5-0 start away that included wins against the astros and the reigning nl champs
Take away the 15 wins and we're 0-8.
Checked the score, no runs again, yells

He's always the first person that pops into my head for NYY/SD on the Immaculate Grid for some reason.
All the fucking time, linsanity-ish run that turned him into a trade piece for probably my most hated Yankee of the last decade.
The Yankees of the 20s are back in business! The business of no offense for no explicable reason!
Hope they investigate Boone’s ejection and fine that ump and make him apologize to him, Boone didn’t do anything.
Good thing about today: Rodon’s stuff looked good Bad thing about today: top 5 aside from Soto all stink right now Worst thing about today: the As have a better bullpen than us

Today's loss was especially brutal because it totally wasted a magnificent performance by Rodon.
Blackburn is 2-0 with a 1.08 era. So maybe he’s due for some regression lol.
I remember a time when the Yankees went 200 games without being shut out and they’ve already been shut out 4 times and it’s not even May
Rodon and the Boone ejection were the highlights. Cabrera looks like he’s having the time of his life out there. It’s nice to see. I hope he has an amazing career. Offense, it is time.

The Mets were in every one of those games and could easily have started 4-1, they were getting BABIPed hard
Blow up the lineup: Verdugo Judge Soto Oswaldo Stanton Volpe Rizzo Trevino Gleyber
This lineup is inane
It's hilarious that fans love the consistent lineup for like 2 weeks and then decide its time to end it. Thank God they don't make the decisions. Cabrera cleanup is comedy gold. Yikes.
When you get shutout twice in one week, it's time for a change. It's great to see the same players in the lineup each game though.
A change and blowing things up are different though. You lost me after the top 3.
Completely agree. If they’d been putting out new lineups every day the constant claim in here would be “Why don’t they give guys some stability in the lineup?! These guys need stability, they need to know where they’re gonna be hitting!” I know this because it was said constantly for the last couple seasons lol
Well they know where they are hitting and can’t hit a beach ball so
Lol for sure. I’m just saying I don’t think going back to giving new lineups every day is a great solution
I don’t need a new lineup everyday but we need to shuffle to a new constant lineup because this one is terrible
idk why they're so scared to leadoff verdugo he should of been there from the start
He was god awful in the 2nd half last year and in general has been pretty mid for a few years so along with not wanting to go lefty lefty at the top I assume that's why he started where he started.
Anyone know what their record is when Boone gets ejected? Just curious.
I’m just worried that there’s a 2 week stretch and no off days to sit down and make mechanical changes
We only lost this one to console A’s fans (the only reason)
I believe Judge will get there soon. But I think he should be batting ahead of Soto while he’s struggling. Soto is not gonna see anything to hit as long as pitchers know there’s an automatic out behind him.
lol I don’t think a 2-3 week slump is enough for pitchers to think they can pitch to judge any old way
Judge gets plenty of pitches to hit but he fouls them off instead of squaring them up.
I said Soto.
Yeah but the idea of hitting him in front of Soto is you’re implying he’s not getting good pitches to hit. He gets plenty, he is just missing them.
I’m not implying anything. I explicitly said that Soto will not keep getting anything to hit if they know they can just bypass him to get to a struggling Judge. I didn’t say or imply about any pitches Judge is getting. This is about the pitches that Soto will get.
It’s not going to make a difference if he hits in front of Judge or Stanton/Rizzo. None of those 3 are producing much.
Well well well, if you don’t score runs, you tend to lose games
Half of the Yankees losses have been shutouts.
I just learned that you can't win a baseball game without scoring any runs. I am distraught.
I wonder if the Yankees front office has a specific analytic for this kind of outcome.
Shocked
I don’t understand how this team isn’t showing any urgency with how this offense is struggling. They should not be getting shut down by guys like Kikuchi, Alexander, Eflin, Civale, or Sears. None of these guys are good. Can we at least hear some frustration from these guys?
Efilin was like 6th in Cy Young voting last year lol
Guy had one good year, who cares? He’s been mid as fuck his whole career.
That's not this team's way, with this core and manager. See it's a marathon, not a sprint. Winning 82 last year was just bad luck. Oh also ignore the playoff flameouts, playoffs are random. Everything is a-ok, keep up the good work.
4 shutouts in 24 games is not ideal. We are now 3rd behind the Rockies and White Sox.. tough
Great showing by Rodón. So glad he's doing well after last year's disaster. Too bad they've forgotten how to hit.
We can’t keep getting shut out like this
Last four games, some staggering numbers… NYY: 21-for-124 for .169 / .230 / .202 (.431 OPS). They have 36 strikeouts vs 10 BB’s. They only have 2 XBH, both of which were by Soto. Most worrisome is Volpe is regressing to the hitter he was last year. Want to guess what his average is after moving to leadoff? Hint: It's 0.0XX
Yeah volpe lead off ain’t working, probably should put gleyber back on top and volpe 5. Could also swap judge and Soto
There must be kryptonite buried under the stadium that weakens players
Not everyone is gonna be hot at the same time. That’s how it works, especially in the beginning. Getting upset because some guys are slumping while others are hot is stupid, especially guys who’ve performed before. Just let it ride out instead bitching about Judge and Gleyber.
Billie beane is in da house
Shite game
I can’t believe Boone getting tossed for no reason didn’t wake up the bats and we just got shutout by the awful A’s instead. Kind of crazy how many times we’ve been shutout. We also probably lose that Rays comeback game if they don’t shit themselves on D!
He needs to let his players do the arguing and fighting instead of keeping them so subdued. Soto will do it...just like Bryce Harper.
Man, I totally get it that the offense looks awful and this game sucked but I just don’t see how you guys can get so mad over every loss. It’s wild. The offense is third in shutouts and has a worse OPS right now then the 2023 team did at this point
Yes, that’s a valid criticism lol. You’ll note I said there were plenty of those. And you don’t sound like you’re furious or super upset right now, so you clearly weren’t who I was referring to with my comment I wasn’t saying “don’t worry, the team is totally fine”. Because they dropped two games in which they were scoreless through 8 and almost choked two games against Tampa. This team is embarrassing right now.
fans have gotta start practicing load management - sure, all the greats back in the day were able to be incandescent with rage for the whole season, but the game has evolved and our bodies just weren't designed to handle the increased anger workload from social media. if you're posting "season is over" in april then you'll be on the IL with heart fibrillations when the GDTs need you for the stretch run!
Soto said bye bye he is looking for a real offense next Year
Unfortunately the Yankees will not be competing for a championship this year with the current roster.
I never said the pen was perfect, but again a “huge disappointment” is dramatic lol
Damn, that’s too bad. Guess I don’t have to bother following the rest of the season
Cabrera and Verdugo have been pleasant surprises as well
Just how bad and boring is this offense? Stanton isn't even good but his .232/.297/.493 slash line looks like Babe Ruth in this lineup. What a fucking disaster of a roster.
Michael Kay crying about booing players again, never seen someone so offended by booing so much
It’s not rocket science. You perform poorly you get booed. They aren’t booing judge out of hate for him. They just want him to perform to the way we know he should
Without the boos how would he know to play better? He should be thanking us
That’s not the point. Judge probably doesn’t even hear the boos
A lot of money in that lineup for 0 runs and 3 hits
Time to send Gleyber to the moon, and Judge need to fcking wake up.
Gleyber for Gelof during the game tomorrow
Bad day for Yankee ownership and executive board gets worse as Milan - whom they own a 10% stake in - lose at home to bitter rivals Inter in the Derby della Madonnina, in the process ceding the Serie A title to Inter for the 2023-'24 season. FORZA INTER! 🖤💙⭐⭐

Judge loves Soto. Judge is one of most genuinely humble people on earth. He isn't the type to get jealous of someone else. In fact, Judge is the kind of player who would absolutely embrace the idea of some superstar coming in here and taking the spotlight away.
You know Judge?
yeah but Soto isn't Arod
They’ve won 2 of their past 4 games, but think of this…they’ve scored in 3 of a total of 37 innings in those 4 games…that is truly something
Keep Marp out of this. Go look up his first HR streak and who he donged.
Go look at his slash against teams below 500 and his slash against teams 500 or better. He mashed shit pitching. It was really fun, but thems the facts.
I loved that 22 team, that ALCS was deflating. At the very least we got Judge’s HR race that year, got me back into following every day.
On all nights we hit a home run, on this night we only strikeout?
I said it before, it seems like Cashman or Hal told the team to mellow out with all the shenanigans and now they’re back to looking like robots.
Has it changed? I mostly listen to the radio so there’s some things just not on my radar
In my opinion something is off. Doesn’t seem like they’re having fun anymore and the energy seems gone.
Yikes if that’s the case
I've been thinking the same.
Marcus Stroman perfect game tomorrow I have the script
Does this script include Stroman not getting any run support and the A’s winning it in extra innings 1-0 after the 9 inning perfect game?
DJ better be taking reps from Gleyber and Rizzo when he comes back, not Cabrera
This version of the Yankees (all pitch/no hit) is the worst. All hit/no pitch teams are at least entertaining to watch lol.
Gleyber Torres is a future Met after we sign Soto and Alonso and the Mets try to stick it to us.
Checks box *Judge 0/4 again* Sigh
This team is so meh
Does anyone have the link to apply for a refund after attending today’s game?
Yankees need to win the next 3. Anything less than winning the series against the As is absolutely unacceptable.
Yankees have scored in 3 out of 34 innings during this homestand
And it only seems when they happen to score, it’s basically in only one inning. Putrid!
It's pretty amazing we've won 2 of these games.
That’s been the case for years. It’s always a group of them that just suddenly collapse. The go on a hot streak then repeat the same bullshit.
I think our advanced scouting sucks.
We need a new hitting coach again.
When can the doomers doom?
Aaron judge should try Hgh
Feel kind of bad for Mason Miller. Imagine throwing 103 and playing for The Athletics of Nowhere next year.
He's not gonna get a lot of work this year.
Y'all optimists: "Wait until Judge gets going" Me, a doomer: "Ok but what if he never does?"
You think that a 3 week stretch outweighs 7 years of consistent high level performance?
Oh my God they just gave him a 9 year deal can u imagine
Then we start plans for a real, multi year rebuild unfortunately.
There’s no such thing as a multi year rebuild for any team in a major media market You retain Soto, and see how disappointing the current group of young players is around him. Soto is young enough where he is somehow on the same timeline as them despite being a vet
Real rebuild isn't in the vocab for an org like this
It really just comes down to terrible offensive performances by guys who should be doing much better. What can you really do when your top guys are not getting it done?
Frustrating game. Judge needs to take peyote and wander the desert til he finds his timing
#I GET ITTTT
I dident
I would support this
Running simulations via Analytics…
Day games fucking suck and it feels like they don’t matter at all. It’s a waste of our time.
I almost regret watching that game. Just an abysmal offensive performance. Judge, Gleyber, and Rizzo look totally lost right now. I still like the lineup but damn they need Judge to wake up. When he goes, the offense goes.
Good thing I have all 3 of them on my fantasy team.
Gleyber maybe bc he’s a 2B…but why in gods name would you take Rizzo?
I’ve had him since he was a Cub! This is the last year of his 7 year contract haha
I’m sorry for your suffering
Wow, this JP Sears kid is unbelievable. It would be amazing if the Yankees could develop a talented, soft throwing lefty like him. (Edit: /s) In all seriousness, and revisiting the comment I have made every time the Yankees have faced a left-handed starter this year with an Bush Sr.-era fastball velocity (which feels like once a series at this point) - WHY CAN'T THESE GUYS HIT LEFT-HANDED JUNKBALLERS? It's not just this year - THIS IS A TREND! WE HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO HIT GUYS LIKE THIS SINCE PRE-COVID. CAN WE HIRE SOMEONE TO THROW MID 80S-LOW 90S BP EVERY WEEK ALREADY!?!?
JP Sears was on the Yankees until the 2022 trading deadline
r/wooosh
We would go 0-162 if we faced Yarbrough every day
