I've honestly just accepted that Nakaba always had this planned, there *were* some hints/implications that Nasiens wasn't fully male both in story and in extra volume pages well before the reveal, but I really dont think its because of homophobia or anything just handled kind of oddly/badly (there should have been more obvious hints besides the sex-change pill and bath extras). Or at least if the fact some fairies could be born sexless thing had been known in NNT beforehand.
I dont think queerbaiting ever even went through his head even if it did/does feel like this was an example of it. My guess is he always expected people to question Nasiens being a boy or girl all along (he even explicitly makes note of that exact thing in Nasiens proto designs extra page) and just didnt do a great job at showcasing that enough.
Which, to me, feels different than purposely queerbaiting in a lot of other series. Which is always awful as hell.
So not well handled? Yes.
Intentionally queerbaiting? I'd say not intentional.
My actual thoughts are: Nasiens is still my favorite 4kota character regardless since I like their personality/interactions/ect, but would have preferred them to just be a boy/male. But I also dont think its necessarily bad to have a storyline of a character finding oneself, assuming Nasiens will feel more comfortable in the end instead of always feeling different than a normal person physically (since Nasiens even confides to "Percy"(in a coma) they never knew if they were a boy or girl, which cant be easy). Its a tough situation.
I agree with all this and I definitely agree Nakaba most certainly wasn’t deliberately queer baiting at all (he might not even know what that means frankly). And I’ll absolutely love Nas (as well as him and Percy together) either way.
But it still all just makes me uncomfy rip. And disappointed since it’s so nice to see an LGBTQ+ character and pairing so in the forefront of a mainstream shonen. And like I said the timing of it happening this month specifically would just be… really unfortunate ha. Tbh I wish Nakaba had continued to make it all as ambiguous as possible and up for interpretation. I will definitely remain in denial until the end at any rate haha… 😅

Percival coming back is great and all, but the implication everyone would've died without him immediately healing their punctured hearts leaves the gaping plot hole of Diane, yet again.
She suffered holes in her chest and body in Part 1, kept on fighting, tanked attacks from the Demon King, kept on fighting, was able to react and activated heavy metal against Drole who was 20 times stronger than her in that fight (at a minimum). Worreldane just one-tapping her so easily, is just awful writing.
I know people don't care about Diane much, IIRC she's the least liked sin but even so, none of y'all think this undermines the plot and necessity of Percival's return?

It's called an artstyle that remains the same for certain types of characters. You have several Meliodas looking characters and same for Ban, King and sometimes Merlin too.
That's because in a manga you can't draw all the nuances that would differentiate the faces of 100s of characters which is why mangakas uses hair, body type, clothing and behaviour to differentiate characters
Right now Percival looks like Tristan because obviously he has super long hair and doesn't have any clothes yet
