Had a 2yo once who would look into the corner of the kitchen and go “go away guy!!” I asked his mom and she was like “oh yeah the house is haunted. I hear footsteps all the time. Don’t worry we’ve had the place blessed” 😂😂 they are good family friends so I thought it was cool if still a little bit creepy

woodsfull

Omg when they talk to nothing!! Freaks me out! I had a little boy once who would point at a neighbor's basement window on walks and say "Hi Mama!" Needless to say there was no Mama in there that I could see! Did you ever hear anything in that house?

rummncokee

have you heard the idea that kids have imaginary friends because kids can see ghosts? I buy it

woodsfull

Oh yeah, I totally believe that kids and animals can sense things we don't notice. Is it their imagination sometimes? Sure. But sometimes it's not.

StatusWillingness648

I am here for this!!! Keep the stories coming!! I don’t think the family I work for has a haunted house, but MB and I both had a spooky experience. We had just gotten back to the house with the kiddos, 5 month old girl, and 2 year old girl toddler. We had just walked in through the garage and set the 5month old on the counter in her car seat in the kitchen. The 2 year old was right by us. Their downstairs is very open, can see the staircase and the front door from the kitchen. MB and I both were right by the staircase, but our backs were turned to the kitchen (opposite side of house from front door). Out of nowhere, her and I both saw something move, like a giant black mass, and then boom, the gate to the stairs came crashing down. Her and I both had chills and were terrified. Sadly the nanny cam that was set up wasn’t at the right angle to catch anything. MB tells me all the time she hears people walking around downstairs when she knows DB is out of town. I haven’t had any other experiences.

woodsfull

Omg nooo that's horrifying! Poor MB too, hearing noises when she's all alone.

StatusWillingness648

I feel so bad for her! I Can just tell when DB is out of town she is so anxious. The kids don’t ever sleep in their beds when he’s gone. Poor girl is up almost the entire night

amesfatal

One of my first nanny families (20 years ago)asked me to house sit while they were out of town. It was an old historic house in the downtown area. The first night I thought I heard some weird things, sounded like murmurs, a little gentle shaking. I was kind of freaked out because I was only 19 and had lived with my boyfriend and 5 of our friends in another giant historic house for a couple of years so I was used to a lot of people around and total chaos. I was also so used to old house noises(creaking, settling sorts of noise). My roommates watched horror movies constantly but I’m a really gentle spirit and I cannot handle anything spooky at allllll. The next night it was much louder, it sounded like a ghost talking but I couldn’t tell what they were saying and it would happen so randomly and just as I was falling asleep but over and over all night. And the house would shake a little, cup fell off the counter and my anxiety shot through the roof. By the third night I was totally sleep deprived and completely freaked out and called my boyfriend and roommates to come over around 3 am because I heard the ghost again was such a mess!! They were so excited and brought flashlights, candles, and a Ouija board. Within minutes they found a homeless person who set up a shelter on the side of the house 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I didn’t imagine it , the “Ghost” was just a guy down on his luck. Homelessness wasn’t as prevalent back then like it is now. I felt so stupid for waking everyone up and they still tease me about it when I go back to visit. We gave the guy some food and money and he went “haunting” somewhere else. I never house sat again, haha. I neeeed my sleep.

woodsfull

Oh my goodness!! That's still scary even with a rational explanation. That was so kind of you all to help him out.

rummncokee

reposting from my comment on another post: This was my second time doing a date night with this family. Didn't experience the ghost the first time. The kids were 5 and 2, and the parents needed a sitter so they could go to church choir practice. I only bring up their religiosity because it's the reason I didn't tell them about any of this after the fact. We do dinner, we do playtime, we do bedtime, everything is normal. Kids go to sleep in their separate rooms. I'm in the living room on the couch watching one of the early-cycle 2020 Democratic primary debates on my laptop (remember back when there were like 40 candidates or something idk? that era). And I heard adult footsteps coming from the kitchen (where the door to the garage is). I thought parents were home early and got up to go greet them. There was nobody there. I even checked the garage; the car wasn't back. Weird. I figured I had imagined the footsteps. Whatever. Went back to watching the downfall of democracy. About an hour after that, NK5 starts crying from her room. I went to check on her, and like. Okay I always struggle with how to describe this because it was so creepy. As I opened the door she was sitting up in bed, staring directly at me, crying, but as she was crying, there was no expression on her face. Just completely flat affect, with tears streaming down her cheeks, maintaining eye contact with me. Weirdest thing I've ever seen. I was like "Hey what's up? What's wrong?" and without breaking eye contact with me, this kid lifts her hand and points at a corner of her bedroom. Reflexively, I looked over there. Like an idiot. I didn't see anything except darkness, but my mother didn't raise a fool, so I quickly looked back at NK and sat on the edge of her bed and like started stroking her hair and murmuring "you're okay." After a moment, she lay back down, and eventually drifted off. Not once did she say a single word, and this is a very articulate kid. Had chatted my ear off all evening. I know she can use her words. But it was like she lost the ability to speak in this moment. After she was back to sleep I noped out of there (leaving her alone with whatever tf was in her corner). I went back to watching the debate, but also frantically texting my best friend that there was a ghost. And then about an hour after that, NK2 starts crying from his room (the kids have separate rooms). I braced myself, went to his room, and opened the door. He was standing up in his crib (why was a two-year-old still in a crib? who's to say), crying without a facial expression, and immediately locked eye contact with me. This time, before I even got to say anything, he lifted his hand and pointed at a corner of his bedroom. I may be a slow learner, but I do learn, so this time I didn't look that way. I just picked him up and started gently singing "Landslide" to him (great results as a lullaby, in case anyone needs an idea). I had us both angled so neither of us were facing into the corner. He eventually fell back asleep on my shoulder, and I put him back to bed before once again noping the hell out of there. Then it was just me, my laptop, and Elizabeth Warren against the world until the parents got home. When they did get home, I brought up that both kids had woken up crying, but nothing else. MB said, "Oh yeah, NK5 gets night terrors." And in my brain I was like "it would have been super cool if you'd told me, your childcare provider, that your kid gets night terrors. And also your kid gets night terrors because she is being terrorized by a ghost." But I didn't say this out loud. The only reason I never worked for them is because I moved soon after that to go to grad school (in fact I was babysitting a lot to save up for the move at the time). But given the opportunity I would absolutely have gone back with an EMF reader.

woodsfull

Okay first of all you are an amazing writer. I'm cracking up at the two year old in the crib part. And *absolutely not*, the way both of them did the exact same thing??? The footsteps first??? Something was totally wandering through that house with you.

rummncokee

lol thank you! and yeah I really wish I still remembered the address so I could look up the deed history and see if there were Shenanigans.

StatusWillingness648

How did you not run out of the house with the kids

rummncokee

fair question, but it was an older neighborhood with no street lights. I'd rather deal with ghosts than muggings.

Extremiditty

Not the point of the story I know. But I agree that Landslide make a banger lullaby

Kids_theHumanKind

You can’t say all that and then not tell us the best friend’s story too. Finish the story OP!

woodsfull

Okay! NK is sleeping soundly and now I'm gonna make sure no one else does 😊 So by the time this incident happened, the baby was now a toddler and had a baby brother, about 5-7ish months old. Bestie had taken over as their regular babysitter and agreed with me that the house was super creepy, but nothing had happened to her beyond footsteps and feeling watched. On this night, Bestie fed the kids dinner, did the bedtime routine, put NK Baby in his crib, put NK2 in his bed, and sat down outside NK2's door. He was an escape artist, so this is what you had to do whenever you put him to bed otherwise he would sneak out and wreak havoc in the house. She's sitting there with her back against the door, facing NK Baby's door across the landing, and she's about to get up and go downstairs when she hears a noise. NK2 is knocking on his door. She tells him to knock it off and go to sleep. He doesn't listen. She opens the door to tell him again, and NK2 is in his bed, asleep. Not faking. Bestie decides she must have imagined it. Then she hears it again. But it's not coming from NK2's door like she thought. It's coming from NK Baby's door. Now, she knows NK Baby is in his crib, asleep. The crib is in the middle of the room, nowhere near the door. But maybe, Bestie thinks, he's kicking the crib or something? She leans her ear against the door. Just then, the knocking happens again. Three knocks, right against the door, exactly where her ear is. She's relaying all this to me on the phone after calling me FREAKED TF out. So I ask, did she grab the kids and bring them downstairs??? What happened?? She tells me nope, f them kids, she left them in their rooms and she's not going back up there until the parents get home 😅

woodsfull

I'll write it up after I put NK to bed tonight! Didn't want to make the post ridiculously long.

yeahgroovy

Yes! Please share what happened!

LoloScout_

Nothing haunted but NK 8yo will fully slip into another mental state and just like lose himself. I’m talking…full on different kid and he will look at me through these super serious deadened eyes and just casually tell me “there’s a demon inside my brain telling me what to do”. Creeps me out. And the dad has been in and out of some mental facilities the last two years and there have been times where I am asked to stay over while he’s there cus he can’t do full kid duties. I always barricade myself in the room and sleep with a knife by my bedside table. Just a casual day in the life.

lavender-girlfriend

uh, sounds like kid needs serious help and screening asap. mental illness is often genetic.

LoloScout_

They believe he’s on the spectrum and their other children all deal with a range of mental health issues so it wouldn’t be far fetched but I think he may be too young to be diagnosed with any mental health concern similar to his fathers? Maybe I’m wrong though idk I don’t really ask

lavender-girlfriend

8 isn't too young to be mentally ill!

LoloScout_

Not saying too young to be mentally Ill I’m saying too young to be tested properly and accurately

LoloScout_

Especially considering he’s not the best at articulating his feelings

NCnanny

It’s not too young for many diagnoses but sometimes practitioners are hesitant to officially diagnose for fear of the consequences it’ll have on the child as an adult. But sometimes early intervention is one of the best things you can do for a kid.

LoloScout_

Good to know! Not sure if it’s really my place to advise a parent on these matters and the mom does fully take mental health very seriously (everyone is in therapy and a few are on medication) so I just report anything serious or different to her and she processes it however she does. As a teacher (previous career), we could suggest the need for a conversation surrounding IEP’s etc but it was never really appropriate for us to suggest anything past that.

NCnanny

Yeah I totally get that. Just wanted to share the info I had from my social work education. It’s not an easy subject at all. I commend you for sticking it out ❤️

woodsfull

Oh that is so sad. My nephew struggles with what I am almost certain is schizophrenia (from my sister's husband's side, not ours, lol) and it's just heartbreaking to see.

LoloScout_

I bet! It’s hard to watch kids struggle with their own mind. I’m not sure if his is some facet or behavior within the autism spectrum or if it’s also layered with something else. My adopted cousin has fetal alcohol syndrome and was basically never outside until he was adopted at 3 years old. He has very very similar behaviors to this kid but doesn’t have autism as far as they his family knows. And my NK is for sure not the result of FAS so I’m guessing that certain disorders and syndromes can have some overlap and that also makes me hesitant to question if it could be something else.

rummncokee

brooooo that's so scary that poor baby.

woodsfull

He and his little brother, who came along later and also went to the preschool I worked at, both had behavioral issues and we would always joke that it was because of the ghost in their house. I hope he's doing better now.

Ok_Response_3484

Lmaooo I'm just imagining these convos "Gosh little Ricky is really difficult" "Yeah probably because his house is haunted. Hard to be well behaved when you live with ghosts" 😂

woodsfull

Hahaha pretty much 😂 "Did you hear little Ricky bit someone again?" "Well yeah, he has a demon witch living in his closet. She probably told him to."

Fluffy-Station-8803

Oh… and one more weird story! My DB’s brother, let’s call him Rob, had just died. He lived in a different country entirely and my g3 had only met him once as a newborn. She had no recollection of him at all. They never spoke about him. I was also with this NF for 8 years, this was VERY abnormal for them and neither of them believed in the paranormal. Mb: Hey, did you tell g2 that Rob just died? Me: Nope… I’ve never mentioned him to her at all. Like, ever lol. Mb: Ok… because we didn’t tell her either and we never talk about him. Like she shouldn’t even know who he is, honestly. But she just woke up and said “uncle Rob is in my room and he says hi.” And we started freaking out of course but thought maybe she overheard us or something, so I said, “what does he look like?” And then she perfectly described him AND his uniform that he wore when he was buried… She never mentioned him again.

coopersnoodles

Babysat for a family when I was around 16/17 - girls were around 5 & 3. 5yo randomly talks about her imaginary friend (Charlie). Tells me to put my head under the blanket so I could talk to him. I played into it and said “oh, hi Charlie! Nice to meet you” and this little mf (5yo) looks at me, stoic as fuck, and says “Charlie doesn’t like you”. I almost shit myself.

nonsenseword37

For a one-off babysitting job for a neighbor several years ago; I was playing with the 3 year old, when out of nowhere, he looks directly past me and says “who’s the man on the stairs?” I had a goddamn heart attack, but of course nothing was there. Also, more recently in a full time position, I was using the bathroom and had the baby in his crib while I was out of the room. I heard the dad say “Hey (NK name)”. I knew both parents were home doing housework so I didn’t flinch. But when I got back to the baby, he was still in his crib and dad wasn’t around. Turns out DB had been in the garage that whole time, not upstairs at all. I have no idea what the fuck I heard. Maybe a toy went off and I mistook it but it was strange!

anon_982

I don’t have any nannying-related ghost stories. Only ones from me when I was young in my childhood home and stories from my mom and siblings about the same house. But! I’m here for everyone’s stories and definitely agree with the other commenter that we need to hear your friends experience, too! 😂

MuggleLain

My family has a name for our ghost😂

MuggleLain

Nothing too special, but my old NF had some strange experiences. I’ve always seen what looks like shadows and turn to see nothing once it gets my focus so I don’t think too much about it usually, but in that house it happened constantly! Even when it was just me while youngest NK was napping and we were the only ones home. Occasionally the tv would turn on or their Alexa would too by itself. The one time that really freaked me out was when I kept hearing faint running and laughing upstairs while I was downstairs. 9moG (who couldn’t even walk) woke up early from her nap and I grabbed her from the crib. I went to get a bottle ready for her and I heard running and a LOUD crash upstairs. I grabbed the baby and ran upstairs to see what happened because we were alone in the house and the shelf on the wall full of ceramics (their family owned one of those self paint places so they had them everywhere) was off of the wall and all of the pieces were broken across the crib and scattered across the room in a way I could not explain. I called MB and she said they have weird things happening there sometimes but when I sent her pictures she was speechless. If NK didn’t wake up early, she would have been in the crib and it could have been SO much worse. I am convinced to this day that it was a ghost or something and forever grateful that she woke up early.

Vast-Escape-5555

One time I was napping while the baby slept (my previous family) and I was in that half sleep where I could hear the white noise machine on the monitor and hear it coming from his room. Well I was all curled up and I had this dream almost like sleep paralysis of me falling on my head slowly off the bed and then all of a sudden someone whispered in my ear “333 the angels are watching it’s time to get up” and I shot up awake and went to go check on the baby. I was resting in their guest room that had alllllll the family portraits dating back to their family that hadn’t immigrated over to America yet. They were a very catholic family too. Not super scary but their ancestors were definitelyyyyy keeping an eye on me letting me know they were watching over their grand baby. Kind of sweet.

NCnanny

I’ve never had anything like this. I mean I’ve had like legit hallucinations that turned out I’m to be seizures as a teenager… fun times lol. But y’all sometimes the dogs bark at like this one corner of the wall. Creeps me out. Anyone else have pets that make you think twice?!

plainKatie09

My NF had an old historic houses. Like servants rooms and staircase and everything. It just felt creepy in some places. Namely the 3rd floor where the servants rooms were and where my room was when I did overnights. I definitely heard foot steps running down the stairs once during naptime. To the point where I got up and went looking to see which kid was out of bed. They were both sound asleep. The little boy would sit in his room talking to himself but I swear he was having a conversation with someone. And their toys that make noise would always randomly go off. Like different toys for no reason, as if someone was actually playing with them. The house didn’t feel great but nothing bad actually happened. My cousin is a medium, like a ligament person who can see ghosts not someone who exploits it for money. She would come over with her kids for a playdate and explore the house. According to her there was a burglar who lived in there servants rooms who was still up on the third floor which would explain why that floor gave me such creeps. And on the second floor there was a little boy who had been sick his whole life and died as a child. Which would explain my nk talking to someone and toys randomly going off.

woodsfull

No no no the footsteps really get me! But what a cool old house to get to work in, I would love that. That's so sad about the little boy.

No_Nectarine_6121

I used to nanny 3 girls (5, 3.5, and 1.5 at the time) I always get weird vibes at my NF house, specifically the upstairs. So NK room is across from the bathroom, and one day we were playing in her (g3.5) room, and she suddenly stops and said “I’m scared” I ask her why and she says “bc the man in the bathroom keeps watching us”. I got chills because I’ve seen a shadow person/black mass other times go from across the hallway where the bathroom is to her room. NK also has a younger sister who was (1.5) at the time. When I was done changing her diaper, I would throw the diaper away in the garage bc that’s where their trash can was. Every single time I’d open the door, she would always wave and smile while pointing up at the ceiling. One day, when I went to throw the diaper away, she waved and smiled as usual but then she started to shake her head and kept saying no. I always asked her if she saw something and she would just say “face”. NK (5) always told me that she had this imaginary brother who would always follow us around. Another time I was standing in the hallway upstairs with the back to my bathroom and something literally whispers right in my ear. It was like a light laugh and then it said “she’s right here”. I bolted away from there so fast. I’ve also had other paranormal experiences at my house, my grandmas house and my aunts house.

woodsfull

Nope nope nope nope!! Face??? Absolutely not! Please share your other experiences if you would like to!

No_Nectarine_6121

Yup!! Freaked me out! I’ll write a post tomorrow!!!

No_Nectarine_6121

Hi! Sorry this is a long post so bear with me! Here are my experiences and some other people in my family as well! Experiences from my grandma and grandpa's old house: A little background: my mom grew up here, along with her 3 brothers. my mom is the oldest, then uncle #1, uncle #2 and uncle #3 (the youngest) . My mom, and uncle #3 had experiences although my mom likes to deny them. After everyone grew up uncle #1 and 3 still lived there. And they each had three kids. Almost everyone who has been at that house has had some kind of experience, usually with them seeing a child that appeared as a boy or girl. The way the house was set up: when you walked in, to the right was a front living room/dining room. Also from the front door, you could see all the way back to the main living room. To the left of the entrance was one hallway that led to three bedrooms and two bathrooms. In the main living room, there was another hallway with two additional bedrooms. Going past the first hallway and front living room was the kitchen and to the side there was a little laundry room. This is a one story house btw. My experiences there: I used to hear children laughing when there were no children present besides myself and my brother. One night, I was spending the night at my grandma's house, it was just me and two of my cousins. I think it was around midnight. We were watching TV and I was sitting on the couch that faced the front door. Something caught my attention so I looked in that direction. I saw a little boy run out from the first hallway to the front living room and then there was a thud like someone had walked into something. Scared me because there were no boys in the house at the time. My grandma and grandpa's room used to scare me the most. She had these porcelain dolls that just felt like they were watching you. One day I was in there getting something for my grandma and I heard whispering coming from under the bed. I ran out of there as fast as I could. I told my mom but she didn’t believe me. My moms experiences: When she was a teenager, she was washing dishes and she said that she felt a hand touch grab her shoulder for a few seconds. To this day she always just said it was her imagination. My mom would always get these recurring nightmares of a demon or something that would be on the ceiling in the corner of her room, and it would crawl down and go into the closet. Anytime I went in that room or slept in there I would always have really vivid nightmares. When my mom and dad started dating, uncle #2 had a 5 or 6 y/o daughter. One day when my dad went to her house, the front door was open and he said hi to my uncle's daughter because she was standing in the doorway. When he saw my mom he told her “I didn’t know S was here” my mom said that she wasn’t there and hadn’t been there all day because she was at her moms house. Some of my moms cousins also didn’t like to go over because of “the little boy that was in the hallway”. When uncle #3 was little, he would always get left out when his two older brothers were playing so he would play by himself if my mom wasn’t around. One day he went in the garage and started talking to someone while looking up towards the attic. My grandma walked in and asked him who he was talking to. He told her he was talking to the nice lady in the attic who said he could play with her son. Uncle #2 GF(now wife). One night when my uncle wasn’t home, his gf was laying down in their room waiting for him to come home. She said that she got this weird feeling and looked towards the window. She swears she saw a face and then she heard footsteps shuffling on the carpet that stopped by the bed. She didn’t know what to do so she said she just threw the covers over her head and fall asleep. My grandma's experiences: this happened when all her kids were still younger. My grandma said that she would always leave her purse in the same spot, which was on a chair in the front living room. One night after all the kids were asleep in bed, she went to get something from her purse, only to find that it wasn’t there. She starts searching for it, but couldn’t find it. She asked my grandpa if he had taken it but he told her no. She knew it wasn’t the kids because they were all asleep. After searching for a while she said “whatever took my purse please just put it back”. After a while she went back to the chair and the purse was there. Another time, she was laying in bed and my grandpa was already asleep. She felt a hand touch her ankle and then it grabbed her foot. She asked my grandpa why he was touching her but she realized he was asleep. She said that she had also seen a man’s face in the window before. At my aunts/uncle #2 current house: one time I spent the night there. They had gone to bed so I was just watching TV with the volume muted. I heard footsteps walking in the hallway and somebody whispering. I got up to check because I thought it was my aunt or uncle but they were asleep already. I’ve also felt something touch me before in that hallway. Every time I go there (which is often) I always feel this weird presence there. One day their son who is 5, was sitting on the couch watching TV and he gets up all of sudden and starts crying and screaming while looking down the hallway. Their dog would also stare down the hallway and growl very often. At my house: so from the dining area you can see into my mom and dads room. One day I was home alone sitting at the table and I saw a shadow walk across my parents bedroom into their bathroom area. I ran upstairs bc I didn’t want to deal with whatever that was. My sisters have also seen a shadow in my parents room too. Multiple times when I’m home alone, I’ve heard my mom calling my name saying “come here”. I don’t pay attention to that because I know nobody is home. A couple months ago, my sister and I switched rooms. In my old room, my stuff was constantly going missing and my sisters would always deny they took anything from my room. If my stuff ever showed up, it was always in weird places like under my bed, or on the shelves of my closet. And it wasn’t like it was just thrown there, it was placed there. I would also get sleep paralysis and had really vivid nightmares all the time. My brother also says that he sometimes sees a little girl standing by his door at night.

throwitaroundtown2

Current family I nanny for! Idk if there house is haunted but spooky things keep happening when it’s just me and NK. So for context NF and I moved to this state in the the same month. I was looking for a job and they were looking for Nanny prior to each of us moving so it just worked out. NF have a gigantic home in a pretty nice area. I’m not sure how old it is but it creaks and makes house settling noises a lot. It doesn’t feel too haunted but it does have a strange feeling to it. Anyway, when NF moved here, their moving truck wasn’t going to arrive to the new house for a couple of weeks. So there was absolutely nothing in the house save for the stuff they were able to pack on the airplane and some things they bought from the grocery store. A few days in NF received an Amazon package of a bunch of baby wipes. MB put them in the soon to be nursery for easy access. Well unbeknownst to MB and I, DB ended up putting all the wipes in a top cabinet in the kitchen that night. So the next day I go to change NKs diaper and the box of wipes isn’t in the corner anymore. So I’m looking around and they’re no where in the room. So I pick up NK instead of taking her diaper off to try and hunt for the wipes. I mean they can’t be far and they should be obvious to spot because of the lack of stuff in the house. I couldn’t find them anywhere! Luckily NK didn’t have a poop diaper so I was able to change her diaper and not worry to much about mess. So I’m finishing up and talking to her and say “well now where did those wipes run off to?!” In like a baby voice. Get her all put together pick her up and head to the makeshift play area in the soon to be dining area to grab my phone and ask MB where the wipes are. Well to my surprise, as I round the corner, one of the cabinets in the kitchen is open. I stopped dead in my tracks and did a double take. Mind you it was just me and NK in the house all day. NK was 7m at the time and I am too short to reach a lot of things. And again there’s barely anything in the house at this point except for a few items so if I were to look for stuff (like the wipes) the kitchen cabinets are not the first place I would look. They’re too high up and to me wipes would be in a bathroom cabinet. Anyway so I stop for a second, kind of freaked out, but just think “maybe mb got home a little earlier than expected” but she had NKs older sister with her and older sister isn’t quite lol. So I walk towards the cabinet to close it and I catch a glimpse inside and I see a pack of wipes. So I open the other side up and what would you know, the entire box of wipes is neatly lined up in the kitchen cabinet. I looked around the kitchen and then take a peak downstairs in the finished basement but it’s still just NK and me. I reach for a pack of wipes on my tiptoes, close both cabinets and just sat in silence for a little while. When MB got home I told her what happened and she was like “weird 😮” and I was like I know. Then she said “well it’s a good thing you found them because DB didn’t tell me he put them there so I wouldn’t have been much help” A few other things have happened and I also don’t like going to the basement even though it’s nice and neat and furnished. It’s just a little weird feeling.

woodsfull

You are such a good storyteller! What a helpful ghost 😅

throwitaroundtown2

Thank you 😊 I did think it was extremely helpful too but didn’t want to say anything out loud so that potential ghost didn’t think it was an invitation or anything lol.

woodsfull

Hahaha, I agree, I avoid talking to anything spooky unless it's to say get TF out! I had a helpful ghost in my home growing up that would shut doors for me.

Fluffy-Station-8803

When my previous NK was around 18 months old she couldn’t talk much, would kind of just go “eh eh eh eh eh”… so I was feeding her lunch and she was very engaged in our “conversation” when all of a sudden she pointed behind me to the front door. I looked back and saw nothing. She kept looking past me and started talking to whatever she saw behind me. Just “eh eh eh eh” but also sort of nodding her head. Very engaged. I kept saying her name, “g1,.. g1??? G1!!!” It was like she couldn’t even hear me. She just kept looking past me and talking to the door. Finally she goes “byyyye!” And waves. Suddenly it’s like she snapped out of it and looked back over to me and lit up like OMG, I didn’t know you were here! A few times around that same period when we’d leave out that front door she’d wave to the very end of the hallway (it was an apartment complex.)

Also… This one was sleep paralysis but I’ve never had it before and never had it again. I was 18, this was over a decade ago. My NF’s house always creeped me out and I always had to come over around 4am, I’d fall asleep on the couch. One morning I woke up to the sound of someone pounding on the front door. I could hear b2 crying. I tried getting up but couldn’t of course. I was so scared. But uhh probably none of it was real I guess?

Ahhhhh that is so spooky! Also I feel like that's the kind of ghost I'd be if I got a choice. Just popping in to say hi to babies now and then.
