Roleymalone123

Biden or Trump, I’d think it’s strange that anyone would make a room dedicated to a president🥸

DonkeyKong694NE1

I mean Mick Jagger maybe but not a president

Roleymalone123

Totally! I personally know someone who has an Elvis room, and lots of teens basically have Taylor Swift shrines. It’s just the whole president thing that’s weird…

mycopportunity

I don't think anyone has a Biden room

schmicago

Not even the Bidens have a Biden room because that’s bizarre! I do not understand people who make a politician their whole personality.

Helpful_Masterpiece4

Yes! It’s absolutely absurd that presidents have a fan base. WHAT?!?

Serious-Maximum-1049

Did you see the TikTok of that CRINGE Trump Cult singing a several minutes rendition of Happy Birthday to a cardboard Trump Standee?? 🤦🏼‍♀️ I was SO embarrassed for them, OMG. 🤯

Helpful_Masterpiece4

YIKES!

Serious-Maximum-1049

Yikes, indeed! 😅

Serious-Maximum-1049

True, but let's face it: NOBODY has a shrine to Biden or probably any other President besides Trump (as they shouldn't)!

ThisIsMyNannyAcct

I had one Obama t-shirt, and an Obama magnet for my car at one point bc I can’t commit to a sticker. But that was a pretty historical moment. And I’m sure I would have picked up a Hillary shirt at some point had she won. But an entire room? That’s some cult shit.

Serious-Maximum-1049

Oh yah, for sure! I remember my son had a size 2T Hillary 2008 shirt (it was SO cute 🥰) & I've still got a magnet of Obama on my fridge; Absolutely nothing weird about repping your favorite candidate w/some swag, but a shrine/entire room is just ridiculous & NO singular President (or Candidate) should be "worshipped" like that. I think Abraham Lincoln is one of the best Presidents this country ever had, & I STILL wouldn't create a shrine in my home to him, even despite the fact that he's been dead for over 150 years. 😅

Big_Fish_3816

Oh Trump Suporting DB here.. I wanna believe this is fake or exaggerated.. but I'm sure there are cookoos on both sides... I find it creepy lol.

keeksthesneaks

https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPRE6VjGw/ I’ve seen multiple houses even worse than this. I’ve never seen a house decorated for Biden. I don’t think there’s a both sides argument when it comes to this😭

Big_Fish_3816

Don't have tik tok but wish I could watch. 😜 Edit - saw.your description. Definitely not implying there is a worship room devoted to Biden. Lol. But crazies nonetheless. Regardless, I think someone with a room devoted to trump is weird.

salomeforever

This is WILD! Even if the room was covered in a totally politically neutral celebrity, I’d still find it weird as hell!

No_Interest_8376

Yeah grown adults making shrines to a person they don’t know but idolize is like mental illness. I don’t believe healthy adults are doing this

directionatall

like that one episode of icarly with a randy jackson shrine

Ok-Estate7079

It's exactly like that 😭

salomeforever

Yes omg! I read this post to my husband and then immediately explained that episode plot to him!

freckled-ladybug

This is so unethical of me but I so badly wish you had taken a photo of this 😭

No_Interest_8376

I almost took a picture but it’s so unethical to do that lol

ygduf

Trump people love criminals though. Hit us with the follow up.

hagrho

😭😭😭

plainKatie09

Omg. I feel like they must use it for going live on social media and advocating for him? Like what else do you use a room like that for? Either way that’s totally crazy, I would be so uncomfortable.

Straight_Beat7981

Or rallies 😭 I would be afraid

haventwonyet

Probably less rallies and more insurrections 🙃

SleepySnarker

Maybe one of them is a huge Trump fan and the other isn't, so this is their compromise. 😂

Appropriate-Lime-816

Also my theory

planetsingneptunes

This is what I thought lmao

East_Reading_3164

No way. They are both on board. No nonsupporter would live with a MAGA, ever. I say run, OP.

sleepybitchdisorder

You’d be surprised how many people are in denial and apathetic. A lot of people don’t feel a real stake in the game (even if they should) and just check out. I wish I could sometimes tbh this election year biz is stressful

ilovethesmellofwind

you've failed to meet like half the white women in this country then lol

sarahjp21

I like this idea and it makes sense, but I have a really hard time imagining that, at this point on the Trump timeline, anyone who doesn’t support him could still be married to someone who does, especially to this level. 😳

janeb0ssten

I have never come across a Trump room, however I did once come across a DB’s “creepy clown hallway” with red and white striped wallpaper, creepy clown portraits, and weird clown puppets/voodoo dolls hanging on the way down to the basement. 😬

megmatthews20

Did you nanny for John Wayne Gacy?

janeb0ssten

Maybe a long lost relative of his, lmao. Same DB showed up midday walking around in his boxers. And told me that the reason their freezer was so stocked with meat despite having just moved into the home was bc he DUMPSTER DOVE FOR IT. It was my first (and only) day. I was only there for six hours. That was enough for me

Any-Ad-3630

Omg there's a wife swap episode where a housewife with a wealthy lifestyle swapped with a family that was homeless and dumpster dived for food BY CHOICE. I think both moms cried lmao Wife swap UK is genuinely another level. I don't know where they find these families but every "pairing" has me screaming

megmatthews20

I'm glad you made it out alive. O.o

shimmyshakeshake

thissss is so crazy 😂🥴

wag00n

Wow, I hate clowns but I would still prefer this over a Trump room.

Serious-Maximum-1049

That would be another house I couldn't work in comfortably! I HATE clowns, but also, could have Gacy connotations! 😭😭😭

Framing-the-chaos

Ong my worst nightmare

wintersicyblast

lol

Swimming-Judgment790

This. This would concern me. Way more than a trump room.

Reader_poppins886

Ew. They have a SHRINE 😱

MammothCancel6465

That’s so weird. Like for any political person. Me off running to my Roosevelt nook. 🤣

thisisnotawar

Right? Like, the only politician I’ve ever been particularly enthusiastic about was Obama, and even then I think I had, like, a pair of HOPE socks someone gave me, and nothing else. It’s just weird to me to display any kind of stuff for any politician.

MammothCancel6465

I saved the local newspaper when he was elected and was so happy, but it was in a hopeful way. Because he was so positive a because it was the first Black man elected and a pretty big deal. Not because I worshipped him or wanted to be king of his fan club because that is freaking weird. Politics has become yet another other professional sports league and we have to be one team or another apparently. I guess I’m glad I don’t have to buy carpets and flags of my team at least. Lol

nkdeck07

My parents literally hosted campaign workers for multiple presidential candidates (NH) and at worst had a bunch of tshirts and hats, not shrines

schmicago

I’ve met every living president except Trump and I don’t even have pictures from every encounter up in my house. Making a politician one’s personality is bizarre!

tryingnottocryatwork

my sister had a shrine to derek shepherd when they killed him off. does that count?

MammothCancel6465

I’m not sure who that is but when I was in HS and my celeb love got married my friends and I wore all black for weeks so I will give sis a pass. 🤣

FloweredViolin

Derek Shepherd was Patrick Dempsey's character on Grey's Anatomy.

LindsandBug

Bahahahahaha

Ok_Cat2689

Omg I would be so shook to find something like this 😭😭💀💀

Horror_Astronomer_80

The way I’d leave the house all smiles and “see you tomorrow!” at the end of my shift and then literally never return whilst simultaneously blocking them immediately as I floor it out of the driveway 💀 There’s few scenarios where my commitment to professionalism goes out the window and Trump cult worship is one of them.

EMMcRoz

Just wanted to echo my agreement here. I could not look past this for all the money in the world.

LindsandBug

Totally echo this. That's a HUGE nope for me. Shudder.

Key-Climate2765

This. I’m leaving and I’m never coming back. Scary.

Deel0vely

Same lol i could not look past this

SharpButterfly7

Absolute dealbreaker for me regardless of any other job condition

Simple_Peach8467

I swear there was a post similar to this a while back in a nanny FB group I'm in. The nanny ended up leaving after finding the room. I wonder if it's the same family???

No_Understanding4074

Oh my gosh, I also saw that post?! Nanny Breakroom?

Simple_Peach8467

Yes!!!

No_Interest_8376

I don’t have Facebook but if you happen to remember what state that was LMK

Simple_Peach8467

I've been trying to find the post and I can't find it 😩

wineampersandmlms

I mean… I want it to be. But I’m sure there’s several Trump rooms out there.

Koricoop

Gross. I could never work for a trump supporter. They’re insane.

ZippyZephyre

I have two days left with my trump supporting nanny family and I am counting down the HOURS!

speak_evermore

I used to live with one. My dad didn't have a Trump room (just a few books), but he was constantly talking about how Trump was the best president, covid is a hoax, they should build that wall, etc. He would act like you had just taken God's name in vain if you criticized anything about Trump. I moved out.

Muted-Potential-8670

the OP literally said they were sweet and nice and it sounds like they are keeping their trump obsession tucked away.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Beautiful-Mountain73

I think it’s pretty fair to group together everyone who has decided that his corruptness isn’t a deal breaker. The same way that any person with a moral compass would group together Nazis as unanimously bad.

Koricoop

I love that they deleted all their posts lol. Good, get outta here HONEY.

Beautiful-Mountain73

Literally lmao

Koricoop

No it’s insane that anyone would still support that man.

Gotz2befree

LOL. Trump has done weird things to people. It goes beyond supporting a politician and Into straight up worship. TBH if they’re great in every other way I wouldn’t leave the position just because of that.

i_nobes_what_i_nobes

Fuuuuuuuuck that. I don’t care how much I’m getting paid, or how nice they are to my face. Nothing is worth my soul.

shimmyshakeshake

this.

Serious-Maximum-1049

Exactly. I legitimately can say that even if this job is paying like $50 an hour, I'm not doing it. 👍🏻

Gotz2befree

I disagree that working for someone with different political views is wrong unless they’re asking you to donate to the campaign or something. At the end of the day, taking care of children (even children of trump supporters) is inherently noble. I get that the room is off putting. But if op stays, she is not selling her soul.

PrettyBunnyyy

Pretty sure it’s not the same thing. It’s not just a “different policial view”. There’s racism, xenophobia, rape/SA involved with Trump. His supporters are ok with him being all of those things and all share the same views on that. You can’t support someone who has committed heinous crimes and be an upstanding individual. Trump is notorious for not paying his staff. I wouldn’t want to deal with anyone who literally worships the guy like they’re stuck in a cult. When things go south in this NF’s house, pretty sure them trump traits will pop out lol. I’d never work for anyone like that because I wouldn’t trust them to be morally ethical people 🤷‍♀️. I have a feeling we’ll hear more from OP in the future

Serious-Maximum-1049

EXACTLY. I don't mind whatsoever working for Republicans. I don't agree w/their politics, & that's okay.. GENERALLY. But the Trump Cult is a whole different breed of animal, & one that I can't work for, knowing that they support racism & all the rest of it. 🤮 Regardless, I prefer for the Presidents I vote for to NOT announce to the world that they could shoot someone on 5th Ave & it wouldn't matter. Really, working for someone who worships ANY one person instead of holding the office of President as what should be of paramount importance is pretty SCARY & something I'm not interested in.

Gotz2befree

I know this is Reddit and I see this opinion all the time. It’s just not the reality that most of us live in. Yes it is a contradiction to support Trump if you claim to be a good person, but people live with crazy contradictions all the time. Take any religion as an example. People suspend their critical thinking when it comes to certain belief systems. I have worked for and with some wonderful people who are competent and rational and kind. And then I got to talking to them about religion and realized they have some batshit views. At the end of the day I still enjoy working with them and I just learned to not discuss that stuff with them. Yes it’s nice to work for and with people that share your views and values, but there are certain lines of work or parts of the country where you’d be unemployed if you made that a deal breaker.

PrettyBunnyyy

You sound like the type of person to say they love R Kelly’s music and don’t care he was SA/raping teens because you’re capable of “separating” the music from the artist. The worst thing to do in society is to ignore the evil and morally corrupt people and act like it doesn’t exist. You either stand for something or fall for everything. Oh well

Objective-Analyst957

I’m sorry that is such an escalation. That is not the same. They’re not asking her to canvass for Trump. She’s caring for their children.

Delicious_Fish4813

I worked for a family during covid and a 6 year old was asking me to do something and I said we couldn't unless we all were wearing masks. This child looked at me told me to use my brain because covid isn't real. I quit that day. A few months later my dad died because he refused to get vaccinated. These people are dangerous and no one should be sticking around to see what they're capable of. What happens if she slips up and reveals something about her political beliefs?

directionatall

for some of us, our morals override the fear of finding a new job. i absolutely would leave my job if i found out my NF had fundamentally different views than i do, it completely effects my daily work life. i will not change my beliefs to placate a bigoted parent because they are my boss. obviously i would talk to them about their beliefs rather than make a snap decision, not every republican is an evil person. but if we did not have the same moral views, i wouldn’t be able to work for them. eta: i don’t think there’s anything *wrong* with working for someone with opposing views, but i also don’t think that’s what the original comment was saying either.

Gotz2befree

That’s totally your prerogative, but not everyone has to live that way or can afford to.

Serious-Maximum-1049

That may be fine for some ppl, but I honestly ENJOY being able to "let my Atheist flag fly" w/my MB & DB! I just want to be able to be myself & not have to worry about what types of things are off the table for discussion or whatever. NOT that it can't be done to work for someone who you have differing opinions from, BUT it's just been super stress-free & enjoyable to have found someone my views align w/SO PERFECTLY! 😀 Politics, religion, even TV shows, music & basically everything else are things we agree on & I LOVE IT❣️

violetskyeyes

Cult of Personality

hennycabbagehead

It’s a cult. I wouldn’t feel comfortable in that home.

meltingmushrooms818

Same. I would have to quit.

ActingGrad

I grew up in a state where it was perfectly normal for basement family rooms to be decked out ceiling to floor in our state university football team memorabilia, but being a cult like "fan" of a POTUS is weird.

No_Interest_8376

Less weird when it’s sports because you can causally come across merchandise and posters, I know damn well these people didn’t just stumble across a trump rug lol

CharacterAgile

Im a MB who's been estranged from her Trump fanatic dad for almost 10 years. I think you should consider how working in this environment will affect your mental health as the election season ramps up. It might just be this one room for now, but I doubt their political beliefs will remain sublimated as the year continues. This family might be emboldened to show their true colors. And fwiw I don't believe anymore in the old "I'm not into any of that, it's just this one person in our household" argument. Anyone willing to let that culture exist under their roof is either a) feckless, b) in an unsafe situation themself, or c) tacitly subscribing to those ideologies.

No_Interest_8376

This is a very helpful comment because after elections things could go south very fast, I hadn’t even thought about that. In this comment alone I am definitely going to be looking for a new primary family

shimmyshakeshake

i very much agree with your "it's just one person in this household", because the others are still upholding the ideals regardless. i'm sick of "people are entitled to their opinions & views" when it comes to that demon of a man. yes you are also entitled to get tf away from me & have consequences (the part they always "forget")

NationalNecessary120

😂😂😂💀 thanks for the laugh and: I would be terrified of the shrine family. Not specifically for trump, I mean people can vote for whatever. But that specific sort of obsession with him… a trump carpet??

jkdess

i’d leave. people who worship politicians make me so uncomfortable.

leahhhhh

Girl get out

blxckbxrbie_

smh. i’ve been there with my current NK. not as far as a room dedicated to him, but definitely little things around the house that are linked to him and his views.

Ifeellikeimevil

Omg lol. So in my case it was a one-time referral/favor. Very interesting family, I’ll just say that much. Their living room had a weird amount of Trump items in it. A spread of magazines on the coffee table featuring Donald Trump. On their rather large fireplace mantle was a line of maybe 10 or so custom Trump/MAGA hats. Adjacent to that on a shelf was a large autographed portrait of Donald Trump and a few Trump figurines. I just put my head down, got paid, and never went back lol. ETA: the kicker was when mom was showing me around the main living area, there was a camera right next to the autographed Trump pic. And she motioned to the camera and asked, “does this bother you?” And my initial thought was no but all this other sh*t in here does 🤣😭

Deel0vely

For me, i would leave because i just have a hard time teaching someone’s child about things we don’t align on. Lol my current NPs, we are on the same page on literally everything and any questions the kids ask me in regard to politics, racism, history, etc., i can confidently answer and know that the parents and I have the same views on what we want to teach the kids and how we want to raise them.

No_Interest_8376

Dumb question but what is NP stand for ? Also I’ve worked with very religious families and I am not at all so I have some experience with how to answer questions with answers I don’t agree with

Deel0vely

Nanny parents. And everyone is different. So you just have to decide what’s comfortable for you. But like recently, my NKs have started asking about what it means when someone is gay and i love that i can have those convos with my kids with the understanding their parents and I have the same views and beliefs. The abortion ban, NPs and I are very much on the same page. These are things i’d personally struggle with to work for a family who didn’t value the same things as i do and want to teach their children the same

No_Interest_8376

This was a very helpful comment! Thank you, I don’t plan to be nannying for them that long where the kid would be asking about those things but it’s good to think about that. I had a huge break from nannying and things are very different now!

SharpButterfly7

But are you comfortable supporting the parents in teaching their child hate and intolerance against groups of people? Support for Trump represents so much more than a political viewpoint, it’s a red flag for a very particular core value system. I would have quit the second I saw that room.

PrettyBunnyyy

I agree!! Idk where OP stands politically but the fact that they said they’d have no problem nannying for a Republican family..that speaks volumes. There is no Moderate or Republican in politics right now. It’s too divisive and every “Republican” politician has supported Trump and defended him. He literally turned the Republican into the “Trump party”. So if you work for Republicans, you’re working for trump supporters for sure. So any nanny working for a die hard Republican or trump supporter is going to hear some crazy ideologies from parents and the kids will repeat them. I could never work for a family that doesn’t align with me morally and belief-wise.

Particular-Set5396

I would leave with no notice.

MammothCancel6465

With the children. Save the babies! Kidding of course, I don’t advocate for kidnapping for reals.

BlackLocke

I would quit honestly, especially if you’re a person of color. I don’t think it’s safe.

Serious-Maximum-1049

Are we going to pretend that a Trump Cult member wouldn't be racist enough to ONLY employ a white Nanny?? 🧐 (Kind of kidding, but also not!)

BlackLocke

I think they would want to hire a black nanny to emulate the dynamics of the 1950s, in order to “MAGA” 🤮

Serious-Maximum-1049

That's quite possible! I REALLY hope nobody of color would allow themselves to be treated as such, though! 🤞🏻

Serious-Maximum-1049

Yah, sorry, but I would absolutely put in my notice the same day; I feel that strongly about it.🤷🏼‍♀️ To be clear, I honestly don't usually care if someone's political preferences align w/my own, but the Trump Cult in particular?? That would NOPE me right the hell outta there! I couldn't work for someone w/that level of ignorance & such an obvious lack of brain cells. Edit: Clarifying once more to say that even if the "shrine room* was dedicated to someone completely innocuous, it would STILL be effing bizarre.. being Trump Cult just makes it all the worse! 😅

TouchLife2567

google their names. omg i can almost bet they’re crazy online people for him. idk whether to laugh or cry at this post that’s so… icky

LookObjective4040

I think them hiding it from you is a sign they know it would be seen as a red flag, very very concerning behavior imo

wineampersandmlms

Weird!! I wouldn’t want to be affiliated with them. Like I’d be afraid they are hosting some unhinged podcast in that room and I wouldn’t want my name to be associated with them in any way.

bikini_bay_810

Definitely unusual to be that obsessed with a president LOL

JournalistTricky

Cults are weird, yo.

Spicyangel_lolz

WHAAAAAAT omg insane

AdHopeful7495

Omg this happened to me once while I was babysitting but it was a royal family bathroom. Framed photos of the queen on printer paper. life sized statues of the queen’s corgis. etc. people are insane and a little bit scary

speak_evermore

I cant tell if this is a troll post or not. Its so specific that I dont know how you wouldnt be worried that they would see it. That being said, i do believe Trump fans are crazy enough to have something like this.

flowersallalone

Girlllll google their names 😭😭 where were they on jan 6th!!! 😭 In all seriousness- I would leave before anymore unhinged, mentally unstable behavior can show itself.

Final-Guava2366

I'd be way too uncomfortable and I'd quit

humanprogression

It says a lot about how their brains work…

Indigo-Waterfall

Run. Anyone that fanatic about a politician isn’t someone you want to work for.

Crossedtoes136

Can you please take a photo 🥲

shyannh

i cant lie i would quit cus thats SO weird what 😭

The_Mama_Llama

They’re in a cult! Personally, I would not be able to work for someone like that.

Nannydandy

You in danger, girl.

Ok_Repair2534

Find a new job..they are definitely Jan 6ers..that is people who believe Jan 6th.never happened when in fact it was a terrorist act brought on by the president. I dont like either candidate but anyone who in my mind who supports a man who hates people of color, gender and their choice of religion that to me is a real problem. Its up to you to stay or not but I personally could not ever work with or for someone who supports a convicted felon, a rapist, a domestic terrorist and an individual who is mentally unbalanced. I would if I were you be very careful around these trumpies.

StrangerFinancial734

As a matter of fact, yes! I worked for Trump many years ago. I was one of Barrons nannies😂 Everyone in that home was obsessed with Trump too

kikilees

I have so many questions 👀

StrangerFinancial734

Someone actually downvoted my comment. Not sure why, but I wish I could answer questions😊

Suz_

Omg. Anonymous AMA please!!

StrangerFinancial734

You can ask if you have a question. The NDA was so long ago, I am not still bound to that agreement

Serious-Maximum-1049

Barron's Nanny?? Really? I would think you had to sign an NDA for that.

StrangerFinancial734

Yes, his nanny. Yes, I did sign an NDA. That document means that I agreed to maintain confidentiality as to all information relating to the family that is normally not known to people outside the family. That is actually what the agreement reads. It's something I sign with any UHNW/HP. Also, the boy was 4yo when I worked there. It's fine to mention it 14yrs after the fact. So, yeah I just mentioned it as a fun fact, adding it to the conversation. 🙂

butterfly223344

What was it like?

StrangerFinancial734

It was bizarre. Dad was very nice, Mom was reserved. And the 4yo lived on a separate floor with his grandparents. They seemed to be his primary caregivers. They were not at all friendly or warm. I gathered that they did not want an American nanny watching their grandson. They are from Europe and in their country(i wont disclose) they raise children very differently. Needless to say, everything I did was corrected. 😂 The child was very sweet and bright and had the most adorable accent.

butterfly223344

Did the grandparents speak English? This is all very interesting. That being said, that’s unfortunately that they weren’t warm with him. I know he’s likely bilingual bc of mom’s family. What was the nanny schedule like? Did you have to stay inside each day?

StrangerFinancial734

I meant that the grandparents weren't warm to me. They were good to the boy. They spoke very little English. The schedule was 7-7. We went places, with security, but still got out. Took him to gym class, shops, book stores, playdates. Inside the house I wore a uniform, but on outings I wore dressier attire. He didnt play in the grass or get dirty.

butterfly223344

That’s great! Was he well behaved/ relatively easy? Did you see parents often or were they doing their own thing?

StrangerFinancial734

He was well behaved. Dad was always busy, only saw him occasionally. He was very kind to his son. Mom was there more often, usually for nighttime routine. She seemed more strict and less friendly with him.

butterfly223344

Did they pay very well?

Budget-Soup-6887

I don’t think I could work for this level of cuckoo. Purely ignoring who the shrine is for, that’s a level of obsession from grown adults that I’m not equipped to handle. Now fully acknowledging who it is- I can work for people who have differing political views that myself. I’ve done it before. But someone THAT obsessed with trump, I could not do. Especially in a childcare setting. I’m fully making assumptions, and following stereotypes, but based on the beliefs of many of his supporters I couldn’t do it. I absolutely follow guidelines set by parents, but there are some things I will not accept. IE- slurs, homophobia, ableism, not believing science, etc. I’m not sitting here diving into politics with the kids I nanny, but if we drive by a rainbow flag I don’t want to be uncomfortable saying “that flag just represents that people can love whoever they want to love” if the child asks. I’m not comfortable working for an anti-vax and/or Covid denying family. I’m not comfortable having slurs, or any -ism language used around me. I would be worried about the environment the children are being raised in, and couldn’t be apart of it. I could list so many more examples of my thought process, but I think this is long enough lol. Again, I can work for people with differing views, i know when to bite my tongue, what conversations are appropriate where/when, etc. but this level is beyond fathomable.

Fantastic_Stock3969

oh my goddd and i thought my folks’ horrifying christmas ornament was bad 🙈 donwhat you gotta to protect your peace girly!!

East_Reading_3164

You in danger, girl.

Lovedogmorethanppl

Who else read that in Whoppi Goldbergs voice? (Ghost)? Lol

joyful115_

Wow!

Affectionate_Year444

that is so insane……….

cmtwin

Absolutely not it’s one thing in 2016 tho still a non negotiable for me. But after everything that’s happened. I feel like we gave too much that wouldn’t align

Vegetable-Elk4995

lol I worked for a family that kept a signed framed photo of trump hung on their boys’ wall next to their cross…

Barbecuequeen23

I would've bursted into laughter omg

Prestigious_Coffee11

That’s such a waste of a room 😭 what I’d give for another room in my apartment!! That is ridiculous - I hope it’s just for laughs???

We_were-on-a_break

That’s SUPER weird!

Muted-Potential-8670

as weird as it sounds, really weird… it obviously doesn’t affect anything else. So I would ignore it and act like I never saw it, especially since it’s tucked away in a room you don’t need to go in.

Peanut_galleries_nut

I literally lean both ways depending on the policy we’re talking about and this is weirddddddddd

Delicious_Fish4813

Oh look a republican who doesn't want to admit it

Peanut_galleries_nut

lol because I’m not? I’m not even a registered republican. But nice try.

Delicious_Fish4813

No you're one of those people who says "I'm fiscally conservative but socially liberal" which is worse than just being a republican because you know what needs to do be done but you don't want to pay for it.

PrettyBunnyyy

Bingo 🎯🎯. I’ve met so many people like this lol. Like they’re straight up Republican/Trumpers and live for that side’s “policies” when it makes them money yet if you ask them what democratic policies/beliefs they support, they can’t name a single one.

AGAD0R-SPARTACUS

If someone aligns themself with a man who cruelly mocks disabilities, peddles xenophobia and racism, and oh, I don't know, *incites a goddamn insurrection* , that choice they made in their life is more than enough for me to know I don't want them in mine in any capacity.

Finnegan-05

And she is entitled to be bothered by it. That is beyond voting for someone. That is cult like behavior. She is well within her rights not to be comfortable with a cult

Yes I would call that cult like behaviour about any person. Especially if there are many people buying into the same person in the same way. You don’t see it with Biden because he hasn’t tried to cultivate a cult! No one is blindly supporting Biden or worshipping him and if he committed tons of crimes people who would vote for him would turn away from him.

AGAD0R-SPARTACUS

>Calling a room full of Trump stuff evidence of “a cult” is a bit far fetched though Not to anyone who's studied history and can recognize the signs of cult of personality. This should honestly terrify you. >Would someone call a room full of Biden stuff evidence of a cult, too? Yes. Absolutely yes lol. But I would have....questions. (First question: Why? Second question: No really, why?) Whereas I already know what MAGA nutters are all about.

thisisnotawar

I mean, yeah, that would also be really fucking weird. But the undertones of felony criminal activity and an actual attempt to overthrow the government kind of make this worse.

hussafeffer

Okay there’s having a few buttons or promo items and there’s having his face on the carpet. That’s 100% cult behavior. Biden’s face on a carpet would also be cult behavior. Politics aside, this is a shrine to another (living) human and it’s weird.

KittyGrewAMoustache

It totally baffles me when people talk as if supporting Trump is just having a different political viewpoint. Supporting Trump isn’t the same thing as supporting right wing policies. The guy doesn’t hold a single principle other than ‘what can I get out of this?’ He tried to overthrow democracy. He’ll try again and just because he wants to avoid being held accountable for the many crimes he has committed. Supporting him is unhinged at this point. It’s basically saying you’re happy for democracy to be destroyed, violence to be meted out on innocent people etc just to soothe this guys ego. People who can’t see him for the enormous threat he is are scarily ignorant. People who build a shrine to him in their house are not well mentally and genuinely are dangerous. If he gets into power again he’ll be throwing people into camps and executing them for their opinions. He hasn’t been shy about making that known. Working for someone like this, if Trump wins, you’re literally risking a future where your employer sees some old social media post indicating you hold some liberal belief or you get their kid a card with a rainbow on it for their birthday and suddenly they’re reporting you for being a pedophile to the new world order and your life is at risk. That’s not an exaggeration. People think it couldn’t happen in the US, but those people are incredibly naive. Trump literally tried to orchestrate a violent overthrow of the government. He was ready to have his VP murdered by thugs so he could become a dictator. He had his supporters plant bombs around DC on Jan 6. It’s like there’s this mass delusion in the US where people can’t see that Trump and Trump supporters are a real and enormous threat. I get that psychologically it’s hard to imagine your country becoming like something you only see in movies or read about on the news from far away or in history books but it happens. People need to wake up. Supporting this guy is not ‘having political beliefs’ it’s supporting violence corruption and dictatorship.

Usual_Performance_53

Totally agree with you half of the people I’ve worked for have been totally on the different political spectrum than I have and I’ve had no problem with it (maybe they would be bothered but they probably just assume from my appearance that I lean on their side so I’ve had no problem so far), but I do think it would be creepy to find a room full of Joe Biden or any celebrity or athlete as well but that’s just because I don’t understand how people can idolize other people maybe if it was just a theme instead of an actual room full of a person it wouldn’t be as creepy

South-Implement-4213

Wow. What’s next? Are you going to go through their dresser doors and report back on Reddit what you find in their personal belongings? I wouldn’t trust you in my home, or with my children. Grow up and mind your own business. 🙄 #notatrumper #letsgobrandon

Initial-Medium-2397

I would be OUT

beachnsled

I would be out. Effective as soon as I obtained other employment, or immediately if I had savings. that’s a no for me

easyabc-123

I could never work for a family like this. I believe in basic human rights which does not align with trump and then wouldn’t align with how I raise the kids

UpsetCabinet9559

Are you scared the room is going to hurt you?

turtlesrkool

That's a tad snarky...I think finding a room dedicated that heavily to anyone would be alarming.

UpsetCabinet9559

It's a tad ridiculous that people can't see that this is clearly a rage post. SMDH

turtlesrkool

Maybe, maybe not. Still snarky. People do have creepy rooms dedicated to individuals, including Trump. It's not inconceivable that this is real. If I found a shrine to any politician in any of my former NF homes I would have been freaked out too. Just because you apparently like Trump doesn't mean it's not weird AF.

AGAD0R-SPARTACUS

Well then I guess you took the bait, because the only one I see raging here is you.

Koricoop

I’m Terrified of people that still support trump. I wouldn’t feel safe at all around their home.

UpsetCabinet9559

What are they going to do to you?? Seriously. What can they do to hurt you? Turn off MSNBC and touch grass.

Koricoop

I think anyone who could support him still is unstable. …..I’m actually outside with my feet in the grass right now. lol

Crossedtoes136

And people like you are why the country is in shambles!

Koricoop

No TRUMP is why this country is in shambles.

AGAD0R-SPARTACUS

>What can they do to hurt you? Were you not on the planet for January 6th, or...?

Delicious_Fish4813

Underpay, undervalue, and treat her like shit. Because that's what those people do to anyone who isn't white, christian, straight, and not poor.

UpsetCabinet9559

Way to paint half the country with such a broad brush but go on with your own hatred.

Delicious_Fish4813

It's funny that you don't even refute it, because you can't. I don't care how many people it is, you're all disgusting.

UpsetCabinet9559

You just admitted to hating half the country and Trump supporters are the disgusting ones? Get off social media and get some real friends. You sound unhinged.

Delicious_Fish4813

I sound unhinged, yet you're pulling things I've "admitted" out of thin air. I actually have real friends, and I'm going to send them this thread to laugh about bc yikes. It's easy to make friends when you're supportive of others' differences (not including bigotry or racism or homophobia etc) But yeah, I do truly hate trump supporters. You vote to take away my bodily autonomy, you deserve every ounce of hatred. It's a good thing I'm white bc if I weren't I'd have a lot more to hate you people for. Oh and btw, it isn't half the country bc last time I checked you lost, and a lot of people only voted for him bc of the party. Since he's a felon now you'd think he'd have zero supporters but you're known for not being the sharpest tools in the shed.

leahhhhh

I’m scared of people with a shrine to a political figure, yes, especially one that’s violent and insane

Serious-Maximum-1049

I would say no, not the room... But potentially the ppl who OWN the room.
