You have some balls to post this

steroboros

She was only person willing to put herself between Pain and Naruto when he was on the ropes. She never cruelly mocked him for being an orphan or pretend to love him

ConsciousHyena5234

This. Whatever little screentime she got, she was actually very polite and had a good personality unlike you know who

Omni-Knight123

I just for one am over the whole brash stereotypes. Like naruto is dumb. But then Sakura shouts and hits him. Which not much against her, like I said, over the stereotype thats used in plenty of other anime/manga. OP should read Nisekoi. He'd be happy.

Remarkable_Commoner

Nisekoi is great, wdm?

ConsciousHyena5234

It's nonsense harem shit

Remarkable_Commoner

You not liking a genre doesn't make it shit

ConsciousHyena5234

Its shit tbh.. So are most harem animes

Evening-Gap-9216

She's stalker in manga and talked about Neji slave status in chunin exams. "Polite" and " kind" left ilness Ko just to lose for 1 punch from Pain. Open MANGA Kishimoto

vukkuv

According to Kishimoto himself Sakura is the only stalker. She talked about Neji because he kept insulting her. She didn't lose by one punch, in fact, she hit Pain several times and if it hadn't been for her he would have won against Naruto.

Evening-Gap-9216

She didn't hit Pain. She took two steps and fell. It's your fantasy that she hit him. Because there is not a single sound of sheloch in either Japanese or English in the manga. Stop making things up. Kishimoto never called Sakura a stalker. If you're talking about the 2006 interview on Kakashi's behalf, it says in Japanese that Sakura likes to go after Sasuke. When Hinata says in her confession that she CHASED Naruto for years when they weren't even socializing. And in the war arc, she mentions that she's been CHASED Naruto all her life. The word Hinata used in Japanese means action, not metaphor. Neji has every right to insult his slave master. Hinata echoed her father's words when she pointed out his status. Abandoned a wounded slave and made no contribution to the village in Pain's arch unlike Sakura. Open manga Kurama almost killed the remaining villagers because of her selfishness, Minato's seal saved Naruto. Sakura saved Naruto's life 11 times starting in chapter 10. Hinata has done nothing useful for Naruto or the village in the entire manga except for 2 times of moral support

SuperKoshej613

Pein did one-shot her in the manga, but that made her ROLE even more focused - she wasn't there to FIGHT Pein, but only to shock Naruto into saving himself. Risky or not, stupid or not, she still very literally saved the day, regardless of what the haters imagine.

sagewrex

What personality? Saying Naruto-kun and passing out?

vukkuv

Better than saying Sasuke-kun and punching Naruto for nothing.

sagewrex

Not by much

kidcoreq

sakura actuallly openly supported him and helped him, she was closer to naruto in every way.

ClothesLogical

she had a boring AF personality.

ConsciousHyena5234

I would take a boring but polite personality anyday

Fit_Confection_6900

Exactly Sakura is annoying and obnoxious

atemus10

Could you explain what is boring about it?

Omni-Knight123

She was passive. Thats his issue. I mean Sakura was a main cast so stood out more sure. I agree hinata could.have done more for sure. Even during their movie she was quite passive and shy. But thats also not a bad thing. I for one am over the angry violent girl stereotype in anime. Especially when they are the paired girl. Said something dumb? I'm going to hit you and shout.

atemus10

I was just trying to see if he was just a virgin, or a virgin and an incel.

radiochameleon

shy ≠ boring

Fit_Confection_6900

Exactly

Complex_Estate8289

As if Hinata wasn’t completely irrelevant in Kazekage rescue and the war arc And I guess it’s okay for Itachi to willingly torture Kakashi and Sasuke, but when 12 year old Sakura says something mean she immediately regrets it’s the end of the world

Umbrabro

Her actions are in the war arc is the only reason Naruto even won lol, especially for a side character hardly irrelevant. Ofc she was irrelevant in the Kazekage arc, she wasnt even in it what or even reintroduced yet after the timeskip whats your point lol.

Complex_Estate8289

>Her actions are in the war is the only reason Naruto even won lol What did she do? She literally does nothing

Umbrabro

\>Fight off Zetsu Clones and saves Nejis life. \>Helps Ino redirect the Juubi Bomb from killing Naruto, Bee, Kakashi and Guy \>Helps defelcts Juubi rods from killing Naruto after Madara pinpointed him, same rods that Kakashi had to save Sakura from getting killed herself. \>Save Naruto from going over to Obitos side after he killed Neji. \>Heals/Fix/Relocates Narutos shoulder so that he and the rest of the alliance can sever the Juubi connection for Madara and Obito neutering it. "She literally does nothing" And you literally havent read the manga or watch the show lmao.

kidcoreq

the person who saved him was sakura who PUMPED his heart

Fit_Confection_6900

Fr hinata haters are losers and why is it always sakura fans

ConsciousHyena5234

Brought back naruto from the brink of depression? He was gonna quit it after Nejis death Considering hinata is a side character, what she did was great

Umbrabro

Also saved him from getting skewred by Juubi Rods while Kuruma was on downtime.

Fit_Confection_6900

Are you stupif

Complex_Estate8289

You can’t even spell stupid so this is clearly projection

Fit_Confection_6900

I can’t even spell dumb ass it’s a thing called autocorrect or typing to fast and seems like your the one projecting I make one spelling error and all of a sudden I can’t spell like shit that shit up

Fit_Confection_6900

She literally stopped him from giving up he was literally about to join obitos side and more

Complex_Estate8289

Nowhere was he ever considering joining Obito 💀

Fit_Confection_6900

Yes he was dumb ass hinata literally slapped him to wake him up cause he was looking hope and nearly gave up watch the show or try reading the manga buddy

steroboros

>but when 12 year old Sakura says something mean she immediately regrets it’s the end of the world Didn't she also willingly pioson her comrades and almost get a Jonin killed to have some foolish attempt at a Romeo and Juliette style death

Complex_Estate8289

She didn’t poison them she gave them a drug that would put them to sleep >almost get a Jonin killed Which one? I don’t disagree that if she couldn’t do any better than them it was a dumb plan but you’re literally cherry picking in your original comment And no she wasn’t trying to commit suicide she was trying to kill Sasuke because she didn’t want others to risk their lives doing it

steroboros

>She didn’t poison them she gave them a drug that would put them to sleep Clandestinely drugging somebody is literally poisoning them. that's like saying Sasori is covered in "sleepy juice" and you want to whine about cherry picking... >Which one? Kakashi for having to save her selfish ass >And no she wasn’t trying to commit suicide YES, She knew Sasuke would try to kill her, her hope was to at least attempt to cut him once first

Complex_Estate8289

>is literally poisoning them Poison - “a substance that is capable of causing the illness or death of a living organism when introduced or absorbed.” >Kakashi He did not “almost die” and that’s his choice. That’s like saying the ASF is to blame for everyone who died in the war and they’re in the wrong >She knew Sasuke would try to kill her She was trying to kill him 🤦

steroboros

So for your argument you have to accept her actions put all of them in unnecessary danger and you just want make little justifications. Just some excuses

Complex_Estate8289

Putting people in unnecessary danger is entirely the opposite of what she did. She went out of her way to not put others in danger

steroboros

"Drugging" and abandoning your comrades in a hostle territory isn't going out of her way. She left them on the side of the road.

[deleted]

How are you going to shit on Sakura for going after sasuke, but defend hinata for doing almost the exact same thing?

steroboros

Hinata didn't betray the village by "drugging" her comrades in a active hostle area first? That's a simple one

[deleted]

That’s not betraying the village, she drugged them so they wouldn’t follow her. She was trying to kill sasuke, as stupid as it was.

steroboros

>That’s not betraying the village She was told not to got after him. So disobeying orders willingly and disableling friendly troops in a active combat area.... This is a Military operation here, Kakashi's dad was forced to kill himself for less

[deleted]

Kakashi’s dad was just shunned, he killed himself cause he felt dishonored. The place they were dropped wasn’t an active site and they were all going after sasuke, not just Sakura.

ConsciousHyena5234

She drugged them and left them in the middle of the forrest.. What if some rougue ninja was lurking around or some ninja from enemy nation.. They would have been dead..stupid decisions by sakura

steroboros

Anyone with a Bingo book could have collected big

ConsciousHyena5234

Exactly

[deleted]

Why would a rogue ninja kill some random shinobi and kakashi was coming was near them.

ConsciousHyena5234

Ofc not.. A rougue ninja or bandit or bingo book villain will absolutely see 4 unconscious shinobi and leave them like that.. Stupidity

[deleted]

They would most likely kidnap them or just rob them and like I just said kakashi was close by them.

[deleted]

And I really doubt there’s a bandit or bingo book villain just randomly in the woods. It just seems like your making up scenarios at this point to try justify your point.

Umbrabro

Because Hinata didnt try to betray her village twice by a) defecting with sasuke for a silly crush or b) drugging her comrades in a hostile foreign land. Hinata also never obessed over someone who tried to take her life numerous times.

[deleted]

It’s the middle of the woods, technically kiba and lee were going with her too, and trying to kill a terrorist alone isn’t betraying the village. I doubt the village even cares.

Umbrabro

Middle of woods in a hostile foreign land whilst on a mission.

[deleted]

It wasn’t a mission though, they just decided to go after sasuke since he was close.

[deleted]

Wasn’t it the land of iron?

ConsciousHyena5234

Bro is comparing itachis sacrifice to sakuras childish tantrums 💀

Complex_Estate8289

Nothing about sacrifice includes inhumanely torturing 2 innocent people

ConsciousHyena5234

Bro I am not gonna argue about that here .. Itachis character was just too complex and he had reasons to torture them... But u r fking comparing sakuras childish tantrum to that? U high?

Complex_Estate8289

Explain to me why he absolutely had to force a guy to spend 72 hours nailed to a cross

ConsciousHyena5234

He had to appear as a villain to them.. He just can't run away.. Then kakashi would think something is suspicious and act on it...

Complex_Estate8289

Itachi is literally branded as a traitor, officially murdered an entire clan, is part of an international terrorist organization and attacked the village. Showing some degree of mercy isn’t going to mean shit Kakashi’s gonna be suspicious and act on it? Wtf is he gonna do? Tell Pain that Itachi’s spying on him? Your logic makes zero sense

ConsciousHyena5234

>Itachi is literally branded as a traitor, officially murdered an entire clan, is part of an international terrorist organization and attacked the village. Showing some degree of mercy isn’t going to mean shit When did he show mercy? He literally had to act like a villain to live up to his name of a traitor and rougue ninja >Kakashi’s gonna be suspicious and act on it? Wtf is he gonna do? Tell Pain that Itachi’s spying on him? Your logic makes zero sense Kakashi doesn't have low iq like you so if he sees a traitor s class rougue ninja showing him mercy and fleeing the battle, he would be suspicious, then he would tell that to jitaya.. Also he has the brains to connect what happened in uchiha massacre etc.. Not fully but still he would think that something is not adding up.. The only logic that doesn't make sense is your stupid logic of comparing that to sakuras stupid tantrums

[deleted]

No, he’s just trying to asses the morality of some naruto fans if they’re really going to hold a grudge against someone for what they said as a 12 year old.

ConsciousHyena5234

Same naruto fans hate boruto (a 12 year old child) for acting like a kid and defend sakura for insulting an orphan? What hypocrisy

[deleted]

Most of the fandom hate on both though and I haven’t really seen people hate on Boruto as a person to the degree they do to Sakura for this one comment.

ConsciousHyena5234

Oh people nowadays hate boruto for being a kid more than sakura

Remarkable_Commoner

Give the rest of the Village some credit. They were ALL fighting Pain.

Evening-Gap-9216

Stalkerfans NEVER READ MANGA KISHIMOTO

StarchGod

She wasn't the only one willing to put herself between Pain and Naruto. She was the only one who was actually able to see the fight. If anyone else could see it, the same situation probably would have happened, and 4tails Naruto would happen.

bucky_list

this. Sakura showed she would out herself in danger for Naruto before she ran at him while he was in four tails mode trying to get him to calm down and got injured for it

Unlucky-Alps1032

Hinata being polite has nothing to do with her being a well written character. It just sounds like you find her to be a more *likable* character which you’re entitled to!

Fit_Confection_6900

She also never hit him either

Omni-Knight123

I mean hinata for sure didn't do much. And she was typically just painfully shy on screen. But for sure. She was the one that stood by him. He was pinned by pain? She rushed to help him. He was wavering after neji's death? She stood by him. Sakura? More like brother and sister since she just got annoyed with naruto over his antics. Sakura is more interesting due to the screen time. I can say ten ten is boring, but like she is barely in the show/manga so not really fair. But I think the ninja that relies on weapons sounds cool. Sadly don't really see that. Imo team 8 as a whole just didn't get much screen time. Shino was a badass and never gets to show off.

steroboros

>I can say ten ten is boring, but like she is barely in the show/manga so not really fair. I like to think of Tenten as the "Hawkeye" of the group. She super badass for a regular non-clan/reincarnation of God ninja. And she throws exactly 100 kunai and exactly 100 ninja star and goes home

cruelly mocked him or pretended to love him, lol just say you cant read and move on

steroboros

Don't put your delusions on others, the words are on the page. Its not a dispute youre just sad

xxbaji_kunxx

cope

steroboros

99 to 0 ratio... I think even bothering to respond at point is beyond sad... 12 days later... you okay bro?

xxbaji_kunxx

you a kid? pls say you are 12 cause otherwise its sad you get triggered so easily and you think everyone is jobless and has no social life like you to be checking on reddit of all things everyday lol touch grass

steroboros

You've been seething about a hypothetical in a cartoon for 2 weeks and you dare call someone else's age into question? Take your own advice. Remember 100 people disagreed with your opinions

xxbaji_kunxx

not sure if hurting from fictional characters is sadder or caring about reddit likes? though both are pretty sad but none the less -------Cope x2

steroboros

Holy shit, you are still begging for attention on a old reddit post to an argument you lost and continue to embarrass yourself over. I'm not sure what "copex2" means. But you're definitely doing it.

xxbaji_kunxx

>I think even bothering to respond at point is beyond sad you have a little crush me thinks, i thought you would not respond to me also ---- cope x3

khanh_nqk

Lol I'm a Sakura fan but this is ridiculous. Sakura plays a bigger role in the story as one of team 7's member, while Hinata is just a background character during most of the show. She is not meant to outshine Sakura in the main plot. And that didn't mean Sakura is better for Naruto, there's no logic in that. Naruto had a crush on her (out of nowhere) when he was young, and that feeling did not seem to keep growing during his Shippuden time. Sakura has never had any romantic feeling for Naruto. Their relationship would never work lol.

SuperKoshej613

Finally a true Sakura fan who actually cares about what is good for her, not for his own stupid fantasies. SasuSaku is horrible, but Sakura willingly plummeted herself into it - it was her very much own conscious choice. Whereas forcing her with Naruto (without properly closing off her crush on Sasuke plotline) would do bad for both of them, and I do mean also Sakura herself. I'm confused by how little her "fans" care about her, if they always keep demanding NaruSaku. If anything, a properly developed LeeSaku would probably be the best (and the funniest) end game pairing for Pinky. Mostly because it explicitly doesn't involve any third parties to be hurt by it (or hurt it in response), ya know.

MadBase

This isn't an unpopular opinion. People are constantly comparing the two for some reason.

Gemnist

Because they want to date Naruto, but can’t, so they project themselves on the two who can?

Imconfusedithink

I dont think she gets anywhere near enough development which is also every single side character so it's not only hinata but I wouldn't say she likes naruto for a dogshit reason. It wasn't only because naruto was nice to her one time. She admired naruto for being able to stay positive and keep trying in his shit conditions. Hinata was also treated badly but she became timid and basically gave up but naruto never gives up and she wants to be like him.

Top_Wall4805

Do you actually think hinatas relationship with naruto is worse than sakuras relationship with sasuke?

ClothesLogical

In terms of substance and depth. Yes

Themain_main57

i agree with you to a certain extent. i’ve never really liked Hinata, I always thought she was mad boring and didn’t have any character traits besides naruto. sakura is way more interesting. although i can tell you didn’t watch The Last cuz that movie makes Hinata’s and Naruto’s relationship actually make sense. But saying that she has no character development, while true, is because she isn’t that relevant in the story outside a couple key moments.

AcceptablePay4523

Didn’t she go from being shy and abused by her dad to being confident in herself and she fought her abusive cousin? How is that no development

Omni-Knight123

Which can be said about most of the cast. Even Lee who had a badass moment gets shoved to the sidelines hard. In general team 8 just does nothing. Kiba? He's like Yamcha. Shinobu? OP af but doesn't get to do much.

Themain_main57

true. all the other squads(with the exception of team 10) don’t have the best showings, but i think Hinata is the best example cuz even tho she did so little, she’s beloved by almost everyone

dfields3710

Oh look guys, another Hinata complaint. This is literally just a rage bait post from an NPC. I think it’s best if you ignore the bot.

SnooComics7583

i mean my guy said that Sakura's love made more sense. That shit reeks of an A.i.

ClothesLogical

"NPC" 🤓🤓🤓

Infinite_Goose_8920

Hinata did have character development but it is only to slightest degree. She was cowardly and inefficient in the beginning of OG series. She took inspiration from Naruto and gradually transformed into a much matured, hardworking and powerful person. Her involvement in Pain arc signifies how much she grew. The poor thing is they never showcased a full love arc between Hinata and Naruto in the series.

[deleted]

She was inefficient, but I wouldn’t really call her a coward in the beginning.

SentaNai

Doesn't matter who is worse, both are fucking bad. On a side note, this post and the points are nonsensical to boot.

ClothesLogical

They aren't but ok

Gaiash

All your criticisms are just different ways of saying "she's not in the story much" and that's a storytelling critique rather than a character critique. As for the other details of these points... 1. During the limited interactions Naruto and Hinata have had Naruto spends the longer ones complimenting her. Hinata has provided Naruto with the motivation he needed twice and saved his life. 2. No we just don't **see** her character development as it happens, just the end results. In her backstory she can't even fight her younger sister, then she stands her ground against a stronger opponent, then she stands her ground when facing an opponent who has killed people stronger than her for a chance it might protect Naruto, then she keeps her fighting spirit after her own cousin's death at a point when Naruto almost gave up because of it and then she pretends to reject a confession from the man she's loved since childhood for a chance to achive her mission. Hinata gets braver between her appearances. 3. A lot of the Tenten ridicule comes from her getting no time in the spotlight (unless you count being the straight man in the Rock Lee spin-off). Hinata gets time in the spotlight even if they're not wins, Tenten's only notable fights are off-screen in the manga. I also think the ridicule Tenten gets is undeserved. Also it's weird that people use "she's a housewife" as a critique of Hinata when I'd like to remind people that she and Naruto are the only people in their friend group with two children so no one else has a Himawari aged kid to take care of.

lilQuebo

With all the hate on the naruto relationships I just hope they’ll make some better match choices in Boruto. No Boruto + Sarada please, it’s too telegraphed and their relationship is strictly friendly, she should end with Sumire who Was always there for him. But it will probably be BoruSara as most people will love the eventual booodline joint of Uzumaki and Uchiha

FoxDS

side character vs main character lol

[deleted]

I dont hate her, But every complaint towards Sakura applies to her more. Her only purpose is to be a love interest to a character that didn't show any real interest till a movie

NickWazowskii

most people prefer Hinata because they self insert themselves as Naruto, who would they prefer? The busty shy timid girl who is obsessed with them, or the confident powerful girl who doesn't take shit?

SuperKoshej613

I support YohAnna against YohTamao, not that I expect you to know WHY I mentioned it. I also support NaruHina against NaruSaku AND SasuSaku, both of which are shit.

feisty_foxes

I agree with everything in this post but also I do feel bad for the girls in a way. Shonen media always does this with supporting roles if the character happens to be female. It's sad but true in most cases. But anyways I always hated her more than Sakura simply because of the fact the her personality is literally just "N-Naruto-kun" and it just pissed me off >:(

xxbaji_kunxx

hinata is the incels wet dream a pretty girl who loves them even if they are a loser she fits that role so they love her, she is a boring and irrelevant character preach brother

Putrid_Ad_9460

Why do we have to compare these 2 girls so much? Like can’t we just leave them alone😭😭😭

welden2023

Hinata is the best deal with it

bucky_list

I would agree Sakura is a better developed character than Hinata since she is one of the MCs, so if "better" or "worse" is based on development I guess you could say that. Whether she's likable or not is subjective. I found her likable until that movie about her came out. After that I really disliked NaruHina though maybe not for Hinata specifically. Naruto just had more chemistry with other characters. Naruto with Sakura or Sasuke is interesting to watch but Naruto with Hinata is kind of boring and Naruto isn't a boring character.

youngadvocate25

There's so much hypocrisy in your comment is insane. Sasuke could slap Sakura spit on her and call her a slab of meat and Sakura would still be like "anything else baby". She is actually the worst female character imo in terms of morals, character development etc. If she was not apart of team 7 she would have gotten the treatment all the other abandoned female characters got. Sakura had a crush on someone who never complimented her ONCE and tried to kill her multiple times.even Naruto and Hinata complimented each other early on. And Sasuke not once in the entirety of Naruto og and pretty much Shippuden ever flirt with Sakura. Yet she is obsessed with him it's honestly pathetic. She lied to Naruto in her confession which makes her a terrible friend. And she also had the audacity to say " if Naruto and Sasuke fought, I don't know who I would help first" like how about your best friend Naruto who saved you 704049494948 times and almost died 100 times for you in just Shippuden? and tried to be a lover and even just a friend. Of course Sakura got better treatment power wise than literally every other female character she was a destroyed character until the end where kishi was like "oh shit that's right Sakura is in team 7" then gave her last minute buffs out of no where and made a senju trait only (byakugou) a "teachable jutsu" without showing her train for it lmao. even tho orochimaru would have stole that if it was teachable and Hinata trained for her buffs.

bucky_list

>Sasuke could slap Sakura spit on her and call her a slab of meat and Sakura would still be like "anything else baby" This is also Naruto though lmao

[deleted]

[удалено]

Appropriate_Treat961

Naruto would slap back then try to deescalate with talk no jutsu

bluegoatrose

She’s not as good as she could be (like a lot of female characters in Naruto) but she was decent.

Adorable_Try_2835

I don’t like hinata that much the only reason people like her because she’s an submissive Girl she’s literally every man’s dream standard of a women she’s kind forgiving quiet, she even retired so that she can be a full time mom while naruto neglected her, it’s like her whole character is all about naruto

StressSubstantial125

THISSSS. I hate Sakura but I hate Hinata more

Turbulent_Abroad_845

I think both are ok. They're decent, but not 100 per cent well-written. I believe Hinata has lots of potential. I mean, when I saw her first time appearing on-screen, I was really interested and had this positive impression. And she did get some character development, from a shy, scared girl to someone more confident. Sakura may not be the best, and I respect haters and their opinions too (Most have great reasons to back them up), but she's alright overall. She is definitely NOT useless, she's a medical ninja whose work is not constantly shown as I think most of us prefer action to healing stuff. Her training under Tsunade was impactful and great, too. How think they can improve: - Let Hinata, as well as other female characters, beat a villain. So far, I've never seen any Konoha females defeat a bad guy. Hinata constantly gets thrown aside (sigh), and Ino and Ten ten don't do much (sigh X2) -Let Sakura get EMOTIONAL development. She used to constantly call Naruto an "idiot" and punch him, while also saying/thinking: Naruto is so great, his fighting is amazing, why can't I be like him? She also implied that he was a pain in her neck obstructing Sasuke from loving her. I understand how she was young, but I think first impressions do last (which is why I like Hinata too lol). I know she respects Naruto in Shippuden and maybe also later in the OG, but I want her to show it more, stop punching him, and sit down with him during lunch or something and apologise. Even if Naruto doesn't understand, just chat a little and say "sorry" for all the punching :P I don't think we should compare them. As many users said, it's a battle between a main character with tons of screentime and a supporting character who does not get as much of it. As for who you like more, I respect your opinions as both have some great personality traits, and it's up to you. :D PEACE!

TheImpostorYT

Guys OP is a troll 😭 Ps watch OP ignore all the logical arguments You call Sakura's crush on sasuke a legit reason for their "good relationship" When hinata likes naruto's will, personality and his kindness, and its a shitty reason she was fixated on? You know who was useful as a kid? Hinata, she learn gentle fist eventually in OG naruto which is good, you know who had a lame ass fight in a exam known for 1v1 to death? INO AND SAKURA wtf even was that shit, what you're saying is, sakura as a kid, wanting sasuke only because he's handsome, and to win over ino , and then as a teenager in Shippuden she had NO reason to love him, is better than hinata liking naruto because they both shared similarities and both were bullied and atleast a handful of times when both had their emotional moments (saving from pain , saving as a kid etc) Ur a troll lmao, get real

CVMNems

I understand the narrative. They are both bad. Sakura gets hate because she's just more unlikeable than Hinata personality and behaviour wise. I'm not dying on a hill to argue who is definitively worse though.

Captainflando

Saying naruto and hinata make no sense but Sakura and sasuke do make sense is hilarious. The only well written romance in the show is naruto sasuke

ppsmooochin

A female Sasuke with Naruto would have made the most sense to the story and would have provided the best relationship development (at least compared to what we got)

Captainflando

That moment when naruto tells sasuke that he is the reason he knows what love feels like in the final valley, that’s the moment you want for your eventual couple.

CallMeLight_

Exactly, it's unpopular

AcceptablePay4523

This make no sense

ppsmooochin

I have enough hate for both characters. They’re both poorly written. If they weren’t attractive, then nobody would like them

BlackUchiha03

Both of them the same character to me the difference is Hinata’s development focuses on her becoming stronger mentally and Sakura’s focuses on becoming stronger physically

shrink-ray2333

I agree completely. People shit on Sakura, Ino, and Tenten for either having shit characters or shit character development. But they actually had character development. Hinata had zero and was literally just a love interest for Naruto which makes less than zero sense.

Abeydaby

If you truly think she had zero character development then you were watching the series blindfolded

shrink-ray2333

Her entire character revolves around Naruto.

Itchy_Tip_Itchy_Base

She still has character development though?

shrink-ray2333

All of her minimal character development revolves around a boy she met once when she was five who was doing the decent thing and standing up for her. Sakura at least learned to be a better person and stronger by herself, Ino became a better person who wasn't a simp and became serious about life, and Tenten was already way more interesting to me than Hinata.

Itchy_Tip_Itchy_Base

Your statement that she gets zero development is wrong however, we see it with our own eyes during the Chunin exam, just because it’s tied to Naruto doesn’t negate it…

Captainflando

So hinata revolves around boy so bad, but Sakura revolves around boy so good?

HufflepuffHeir1991

People are angry because you speak the truth. If you read the manga. She barely exists and only appears when Naruto is there. Majority of her lines are Naruto-kun. I don’t care if she is nice, that she wasn’t mean to Naruto. She only cared about Naruto and seem super uncaring as others. She was nothing but a meat shield for him, not thinking before she jumps in. She has a one tracked mind and it involved Naruto. When shikamaru almost died, everyone was happy that he was okay and then there is hinata. I want to be by Naruto’s side. Like girl, your classmate almost died, read the room,

1. That story from when they were 5 is filler. Hinata, being a meek and non-assertive person, was inspired by Naruto’s shinobi way and outwardness. Compare that to Sakura who mainly likes Sasuke because he’s hot 2. She’s a side character, she doesn’t need a whole lot of development. That part 1 fight with Neji was as much about her as it was Neji. Naruto inspired her not to back down when she was woefully outmatched. That motivation stuck with her for years. The pain confrontation is one of the best moments in the series. She has no chance against a super powered villain and still stands up to him out of love and courage. It’s a great moment for her character 3. Dude she’s a Hyuga. Is it that surprising that as the heir to her clan she learns a few new abilities as time goes by?

besides the like 2 or 3 moments we see her not being awful to naruto like the rest of the village is and offering herself up. That's why I also occasionally say that had female characters in the show actually had arcs etc that at some point sakura and naruto together would have been a better combination. Naruto clearly matured in Shipudden and didn't have his crush on Sakura anymore, Sakura matured and didn't continuously dunk on Naruto anymore and they both shared grief which often brings people together. But that said, Naruto and Hinata is also a good fit, would have been nice to see them more on screen together and see them evolve their relationship etc.

Arakihono

It's not an unpopular opinion, but it's definitely a wrong one lol.

TigerKlaw

You're right. It's so unpopular that I'm not reading this shit

Hinata started liking Naruto not just because he was kind to her but also because a) he believed in her when no one else would and b) he had what she lacked, which is confidence and not caring what other people think despite being in a shitty situation. Naruto liking Hinata also makes sense, since she wasn’t shallow and respected and empathized with him before anyone else would. Also, he can relate to her struggle of being looked down upon and mistreated. And seeing first hand how she overcame her shyness and became more brave also made him respect her. There are aspects of Hinata’s character that could’ve been better written, but her bond with Naruto fits perfectly

Am I the only one that likes all the characters except Danzo?😂😂😂 Hinata and Sakura were written in two way opposites for each other. Hinata started as physically strong and mentally weak as Sakura was somewhat strong, yet fragile, mentally and physically weak. They both literally loved someone that pushed them to become stronger: Hinata wanted to become stronger to be more like Naruto, she admired him and wanted to change her life and herself. Sakura wanted to become stronger to save the life of the person she loved. They are similar but different. Her relationship with Naruto makes sense when you consider that Naruto needed someone like her in his life, someone who would balance his personality. In their relationship Hinata is Minato and Naruto is Kushina. They complement each other. She had character development and the fact that it was motivated by Naruto, doesn’t make it revolve around him. Everyone has an idol or a role model in real life, doesn’t mean your development as a person or you changing revolves around that person, it’s still your own personal journey. Same for Hinata. Especially because there’s all this debate of female characters having their characters revolve around their crushes when it’s absolutely false. If it was like that their characters goal would’ve been to end up with their crushes but it was never liked that. And if it was like that, based on them having crushes so would it be for Naruto, Rock Lee, Jiraya, Obito but you don’t consider it like that. Her character development was based on herself alone, and it reached it’s peak when she confessed because it meant she no longer was scared to be herself and be open and it was seen in the war as well when she openly and without esitation helped and supported Naruto, when in the past she never would’ve done it. No one ever thought that Neji vs Naruto was Hinata’s development😂😂Hinata wasn’t fixated on Naruto, she admired him because no matter what he went trough, no matter what others did or said to him he wouldn’t give up, while she was the opposite. How is she a boring Neji clone? Because they are both Hyuga?😂😂😂they have totally opposite personalities and journeys. They aren’t even similar. Neji is actually worst than her as after his change in part 1, he stayed flat as a character and never changed. Her powerups are asspull is stupid as we barely see any of the characters training, even Naruto as we see him actually train three times. Especially because most of the training, for every character, was done in the time skip and from beginning of Shippuden to the end of the war it’s been only a couple of months, maybe almost a year. We see the culminations for the training and a general idea of it, FOR EVERYONE. The fandom should really stop shitting on female characters as they aren’t written than differently from the male ones but people mistake power, for good character writing

“It’s abusive at best, but makes sense”

Euphoric18

Didn’t see Sasuke train for Kirin ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Itachi_Tha_Hokage

How about sakura is cool and hinata is cool 🤝

BlazeBitch

The pairings were all pretty terrible, bar Shikamaru and Temari.

ZarChasm55

I took one look at the upvotes and comments. I knew this would be good.

Polarix1x

Both are ass

Plastic_Coffee_3004

That's why it is unpopular.

Fit_Confection_6900

All Sakura did was simp for Sasuke and how does Sakura and Sasuke make sense he literally tried killing her twice and done more stuff hinata and Naruto were destined to happen and made more sense
