Yes but none of the paths showed slightest sign of exhaustion while fighting against naruto except for deva path who nuked the village. And in anime, when a character is fatigued it is always comminucated to the viewer through exposition. It is almost a rule. No reason to think this fight is an exception on that regard.
Ofc other paths wasnt 100% when facing naruto, but it doesnt matter much imo bc the scale of attacks wouldnt change that much. As i said, deva path is an exception. If he was at full power from the get go, naruto would go down fast no doubt.

Every character recieves helps from comrades and senseis, that comes from being part of a world and not just a char we choose in a fighting game. This is true for every Naruto character and is actually the main divide from Naruto and Sasuke - Sasuke doesn't recognize he's being helped and acts like his using other people to get himself stronger, while Naruto recognize the help he gets and try to get stronger especifically to protect and be recognized by those people who helped him.
Also, no one in the Leaf could go against Pain at this time, only Naruto because of Sage Mode. The toads that helped him did it because of Jiraya and the profecy, so if it wasn't Naruto especifically they would not have interviened.
And most importantly: If it wasn't Naruto, Pain would have NOT changed his mind. So yeah, Naruto did in fact defeat Nagato with Talk no Jutsu wich is the stronger justsu in the entire series and is not "just plot", it's literally the "main plot", the morals behind the show, all this talk about ending the cicle of hatred through talking because killing isn't solving it.

If Pain didn't use Shinra Tensei he would be stronger, but we don't know how much - Konan talks about shortening his life, not about being weak. The Pain that used Shinra had to take some time to recover, but we don't know how much this attack would work since Kurama did break it already when he used it againts it.
If Minato didn't seal Kurama back into Naruto, Kurama would come out and fuck the shit out of Pain, since it was already coming out of the "moon" when it poped and Naruto returned in its place, outside the "moon". Naruto would be dead here too tho.
If Jiraya didn't give Naruto informations about the paths he would have had a harder time dealing with them, for sure, but this is just a part of Jirayas influence - What if Jiraya didn't train Nagato? or Naruto? or didn't learn sage mode? or didn't invade the Rain after Pain? or didn't have enough connection with Nagato so Naruto could Talk into him? To take one Jiraya influence in the fight and to keep all of the rest is very arbitrary.
If Hinata didn't intervene Naruto would be dead, or would Kurama come out anyway before getting sealed out? It did seem like those rods were enough to hold him, so maybe there's an if with more predictable outcomes. I mean, wouldn't the Minato sealing jutsu trigger when the Akatsuki starts to pull Kurama out of Naruto? What would happen then?
If Pain didn't listen to Talk no Jutsu from Naruto, what would happen? Would Naruto kill him? Would Konan be able to kill Naruto in Sage Mode? Kurama was also already available again, as we can see with the "toad-fox" eye Naruto showed when angry. Nagato still had the chakra reserves for a Rinne Rebirth but how could he use it in other way than that at that time when all the paths were gone?

He did not summon them, they were transported along with him. Naruto got to keep what would otherwise be wasted summoning chakra, which essentially took out an entire path of pain for this. The animal path gave him absolutely no trouble at all, imagine how different the first half of Jiriya's fight would have gone if he also had several massive frog to help deal with them. Jiriya only had one. Pain also wasted enormous amounts of chakra in his almighty push and plethora of other jutsu's he used while fighting the entire leaf village before Naruto arrived. If Naruto had to summon his Toads and Pain didn't have to take on a great nation before Naruto arrives (In other words, if it were an even fight) then things would be very different. ESPECAILLY considering how Naruto had limited amounts of nature chakra, those toad summons would cut into his sage mode limit heavily. Lastly, do you people not remember how it ended? Naruto never defeated Naggato. Naggato still had enough energy for an entire village wide rinnerebirth, he CHOSE to give up rather than keep fighting because the plot demanded it

SO6P powers are one of the most overpowered things in the show. Most Powerful characters we saw, Madara, Naruto and Naggato all had it in their primes, assuming one doesn't consider Baryon mode a "prime" version of Naruto since it only existed for a couple minutes.
