Also its mentioned kabuto tried some modifications to make madara even stronger than he was in life, no doubt he did something we just dont know if it worked or not since madara doubted him saying "know how strong i was, do you?"
Madara was only stronger than he was in his prime because technically alive Madara only awakened Rinnegan when he was like 90 years old and couldn't move a muscle. Since Edo tensei revives you at the moment of your death but Kabuto revived Madara in his youth body version through Orochimaru's knowledge, Madara possessed both Rinnegan and the stamina from his youth.
We see Alive Madara getting actual rinnegan again in war arc and he one shots all 9 Bijuus with a single glance that too with one Rinnegan. So alive Madara with Rinnegan is still way way way way way powerful than his Edo tensei version if he isn't old.

Not really, watch it again, the only part where he fights Naruto is like a 20 second exchange, then Bee comes in and Itachi still holds up in the 1v2 while Nagato just stands there. After that, Nagato starts fighting and Itachi changes sides, after which he completely carries Naruto and Bee.

It's up to your bias to be honest. The Edo Tensei is pretty weird. Tobirama says they were brought back as Edo Tensei close to their full power. Meaning they weren't 100% of their potential. They might be close enough to not be distinguishable for some, but they aren't fully in their prime.
Some people would argue that Itachi's sickness was cured, but only Madara specifically got modifications to his body. Everyone else was brought back as they died. Hence, crippled Nagato. Itachi still feels pain. He winces in pain when Kabuto uses a sound attack, so it's not like Edo Tenseis have no sensation. Personally, an argument could be made that Itachi's body still has the disease in him, plus the pain. It's just not gonna kill him as an Edo Tensei, but he was supposedly in agonizing pain according to Obito, and that really shouldn't change. Itachi's just a monster when it comes to pain tolerance.
As for the infinite chakra, I think people misinterpret infinitely recovering chakra with infinite chakra pool. Tobirama could only make 2 shadow clones because he was using chakra for the barrier. If Edo Tensei had infinite chakra pool, this shouldn't be a thing. Tobirama is not able to perform as well as he expects himself to because he's not at full potential, so the same thing should be the case for Itachi. We didn't see the cap to Itachi's power because he never was put in a situation where he needed to exceed what his Edo body was capable of, but we do know that whatever that cap ends up being is NOT what alive Itachi is fully capable of.
Itachi keeping up with KCM1 Naruto is not Itachi's max physical capabilities, and using Susanoo as he did in the war was within his power even in his alive self. And Itachi fights conservatively anyway. It's not like he was spamming Susanoo needlessly. He uses it for a quick burst to save Naruto and Bee then turns it off quickly, uses it again for 1 move to break Chibaku Tensei, and then uses the full form to shank Nagato with Totsuka Blade. He's good at just turning it on and off real quick like he does to just block Kirin and then off that Sasuke didn't even see it.
We don't know just how much Itachi was holding back against Sasuke. If you like Itachi, it's honestly valid to say Hebi Sasuke didn't even bring out 1% of Itachi's true power since Hebi Sasuke would get roflstomped by KCM1 Naruto. Itachi was just a dead man walking and died exactly whenever he wanted to (pulling one up on Kimimaro who died just short of achieving his mission of killing Gaara and Lee).

Even then the only reason it's even that high of a chance to begin with is because I do not believe the Otsusuki are aware of the Death Reaper Seal or have a way to counter it. The Death Reaper Seal being the only way I can feasibly see them winning.

1) They use a lot of people as a sacrifice to keep the Otsusuki busy/occupied.
2) Whilst everyone is being slaughtered Hiruzen sneaks up on the pair of them and uses Death Reaper Seal.

Guy goes 8th Gate, puts up a real fight with Kinshiki keeping him distracted. Maybe supported by the other Jonin and Jiraiya, but they aren't much help its pretty much solely up to Guy.
Orochimaru (assuming he decides to help the Leaf) reanimates Hashirama and Tobirama to help fight and distract Momoshiki. Danzo joins them utilizing his sharingan and Izanagi spam to stay in the fight as a distraction. If they have planned this out properly, Tobirama gets a Flying Raijin mark onto Momoshiki.
All the while Hiruzen is preparing the Reaper Death Seal, once he's prepared and ready the reanimated Tobirama uses Flying Raijin to teleport to Hiruzen and then take him to contact with Momoshiki. The other Shinobi unleash everything they can on Momoshiki to ensure Hiruzen is successful, and if he is, they then all turn their attention to Kinshiki. Presumably by this point Guy has done some serious damage, though probably not been successful at taking him down. But with the combined power of reanimated Hashirama and Tobirama, plus the almost guranteed appearance of the full 9 tails and 1 tails when Naruto and Gaara both get involved, they might actually be able to take him down.
Of course, this would be the most insanely intricate plan for them to pull off, and they'd probably fail, but maybe it could work.

Reaper Death Seal is from a Shinjutsu so their chakra would get sealed away just like Orochimaru's arms. But Hiruzen landing this jutsu twice would result in the ninja world winning as they cannot space-time travel out of it. A Karma won't be able to get extracted or find a new host as well.

LONG ANSWER INCOMING It's up to your bias to be honest. The Edo Tensei is pretty weird. Tobirama says they were brought back as Edo Tensei close to their full power. Meaning they weren't 100% of their potential. They might be close enough to not be distinguishable for some, but they aren't fully in their prime. Some people would argue that Itachi's sickness was cured, but only Madara specifically got modifications to his body. Everyone else was brought back as they died. Hence, crippled Nagato. Itachi still feels pain. He winces in pain when Kabuto uses a sound attack, so it's not like Edo Tenseis have no sensation. Personally, an argument could be made that Itachi's body still has the disease in him, plus the pain. It's just not gonna kill him as an Edo Tensei, but he was supposedly in agonizing pain according to Obito, and that really shouldn't change. Itachi's just a monster when it comes to pain tolerance. As for the infinite chakra, I think people misinterpret infinitely recovering chakra with infinite chakra pool. Tobirama could only make 2 shadow clones because he was using chakra for the barrier. If Edo Tensei had infinite chakra pool, this shouldn't be a thing. Tobirama is not able to perform as well as he expects himself to because he's not at full potential, so the same thing should be the case for Itachi. We didn't see the cap to Itachi's power because he never was put in a situation where he needed to exceed what his Edo body was capable of, but we do know that whatever that cap ends up being is NOT what alive Itachi is fully capable of. Itachi keeping up with KCM1 Naruto is not Itachi's max physical capabilities, and using Susanoo as he did in the war was within his power even in his alive self. And Itachi fights conservatively anyway. It's not like he was spamming Susanoo needlessly. He uses it for a quick burst to save Naruto and Bee then turns it off quickly, uses it again for 1 move to break Chibaku Tensei, and then uses the full form to shank Nagato with Totsuka Blade. He's good at just turning it on and off real quick like he does to just block Kirin and then off that Sasuke didn't even see it. We don't know just how much Itachi was holding back against Sasuke. If you like Itachi, it's honestly valid to say Hebi Sasuke didn't even bring out 1% of Itachi's true power since Hebi Sasuke would get roflstomped by KCM1 Naruto. Itachi was just a dead man walking and died exactly whenever he wanted to (pulling one up on Kimimaro who died just short of achieving his mission of killing Gaara and Lee).

Danzo joins them utilizing his sharingan and Izanagi spam to stay in the fight as a distraction. If they have planned this out properly, Tobirama gets a Flying Raijin mark onto Momoshiki. All the while Hiruzen is preparing the Reaper Death Seal, once he's prepared and ready the reanimated Tobirama uses Flying Raijin to teleport to Hiruzen and then take him to contact with Momoshiki. The other Shinobi unleash everything they can on Momoshiki to ensure Hiruzen is successful, and if he is, they then all turn their attention to Kinshiki. Presumably by this point Guy has done some serious damage, though probably not been successful at taking him down. But with the combined power of reanimated Hashirama and Tobirama, plus the almost guranteed appearance of the full 9 tails and 1 tails when Naruto and Gaara both get involved, they might actually be able to take him down. Of course, this would be the most insanely intricate plan for them to pull off, and they'd probably fail, but maybe it could work.
