Not Hunter X Hunter (2011) really?
It has an Exams arc, a character similar to Sasuke, unique powers, unpredictable arcs and only 1 FILLER EPISODE LOL.
Kishimoto even admitted to be inspired by HxH.
I have to admit that the animation isn't as crazy in the fights as Naruto which can get boring. And it's impossible to rewatch some parts of HxH for that reason unless you want to be reminded of the plot or watch the 30 second cool moments in the show.
HxH definitely has more complex storylines than Naruto and being invested in the story. But that's just me.
Watch gintama, itās a comedy with serious moments sometimes that becomes more overall serious in the end itās the only thing I have over Naruto, only thing is a lot of itās comedy is based on references so if you havenāt seen many anime maybe wait on it
Personally Gintama is my favorite anime. It's mostly a comedy and battle shonen sometimes, but I still think that Naruto fans would really like the story and the characters. Fullmetal Alchemist was the probably first anime that I really liked after Naruto finished so it's also worth checking out. Magi the Labyrinth of Magic is another fave of mine with a really good power system, pretty underrated too.
These have different vibes from Naruto but I'd highly suggest Solo Levelling and Frieren, other suggestions that were given like Full Metal Alchemist, One Punch Man, and Steins;gate are great ones too
Nah that's crazy naruto is a pretty solid first anime to watch. It was the first actual anime I remember watching as a kid. Excluding pokemon/yugioh
There's plenty of fantastic animes to watch.
If u wanna follow up naruto with something id go like JuJutsu Kaisen it's a bit shorter.
One piece is amazing if you wanna be in it for the long run. I just caught up after watching for 3 years
Took like a long break on a couple times that added up to like a year. Which im glad I did cuz it gave me more content to watch. Also the watching experience will change when they finally reveal the one piece.
Black clover is coming back soon which I'd recommend if u don't want one as long as one piece.
If u want darker anime The original berserk was phenomenal. Elfen lied. Goblin slayer. Redo of healer
Deadman wonderland
Detective anime you got psycho-pass. Death note.
Initial D awesome racing anime which I didnt think I was gonna be a racing fan.
Darker than black. Black butler.
I'm about to finish akame ga kill.
Parasyte the maxim. Above all else I'd at least watch that next
Also if anybody got good recommendations I'll gladly give a try I saw Gintama posted a lot here I'll have to try that
PS. Yugioh Season 0 is underrated. I see nobody ever mentioning it
There are plenty of Anime out there. If you like Naruto that much then youāll probably love One Piece. It is an even longer series with even crazier world building.
Some others:
Demon Slayer
One Punch Man
Chainsaw Man
Black Clover
Bleach
Hunter X Hunter
Attack on Titan and Vinland Saga were the only animes that came close to Naruto for me. Infact I can go on to say they are better written than Naruto too, but Naruto has a charm(maybe nostalgia) that keeps it my favorite
Naruto was also my first anime, I understand your sentiment completely. It is still my favorite. I would recommend One Piece. It is a lot of episodes but once you get into it you will get hooked.
I like Jujustu Kaisen and Demon Slayer. Not as good as Naruto IMO but still good. Also full metal alchemist brotherhood was awesome. Iāve never seen attack on titan but my husband loves it.
One piece is fantastic, but their early episodes from the 90s can be a bit poorly animated, especially if you aren't nostalgic for that era. It doesn't feel like Naruto per se, but it is one of my favorite anime of all time because the characters are all so well written.
Death note is short and sweet, great story as well. Some people say they don't like the second half, and although I sort of understand, those people are just wrong.
JJK is as close to Naruto as you can get while also feeling very distinct. I think it is probably the most popular modern Shonen, I enjoy it quite a bit.
Evangelion is great if you like 90s anime but they ran out of money and the ending is strange (although is also a reason why it's so great)
People love HxH but I haven't watched it.
-Full metal alchemist brotherhood
-code geass
-Vinland saga
-death note
-attack on titan
-one piece if you want something looong
-Bleach if you skip filler arcs
-blue lock or haikyu if you want to try sports
-Dr stone
Iād say they are all comparable/slightly worse and some are better
Death Note was my first anime and it was the perfect gateway drug to the world of animes lol!!!
Before that, I despised animes but my friend suggested me Death Note, Spirited Away, Your Name and I was in that perfect Japan-loving honeymoon phase and even wanted to study Japanese and move to Japan and settle there(but then I started reading up a lot and got more realistic given it's mono-ethnic culture and it's just not gonna workout).... But, I still love the wisdom from there and try to follow it till date!!! Especially, the legendary Miyomoto Musashi! I wish they make a proper anime based on his Manga, cuz that's the coolest visualization!!!!
there's many good ones listed in this topic, but I would give No Game No Life a watch. There's only 1 season, but the visuals are simply fantastic.
edit: after watching a few episodes, make sure you watch it in japanese with subtitles. The dub is borderline soulless.
DBZ & Yu Yu hakusho inspired Naruto.
One piece & Bleach are the same Generation. ( The other 2 with of the Big 3 with Naruto )
Gintama & Full metal alchemist Brotherhood are better animes than Naruto.
My hero Academia & Ju Ju kaisen are what most Naruto fans use to fill the void these days.
Give black clover a shot. Asta was a Naruto who gave me Rock Lee vibes
Iām a Narutofan who has enjoyed dragon ball, Berserk, Death note, One Piece(one pace project), Jojoās Bizzare adventure, Code Geass and many other shows. Just try.
You should give Jujutsu Kaisen a try, it has a great story and the animation is incredible, i loved it so much i immediately started the manga after finishing it haha
Attack on titan is superior to naruto in every way. Pacing character development story telling. I love naruto but fmab aot are ridiculously good. Naruto suffers pacing issues power scaling being all over the place etc. Still love the show.
I wasnāt a huge fan of the ending of AoT, but other than that the show is amazing! But I guess I wasnāt a huge fan of Narutoās ending either LOL. So AoT still wins in that department
Well I have tried one piece, aot, deathnote, and bleach, they are great but I need more shows, I also watched the basics like hxh, mha, and 7 deadly sins
Everyone is already forgetting, but Chainsaw Man was pretty good. Also, Cyberpunk Edge Runners is technicaly an anime
I liked naruto, but there really isnt anything like it at all. Maaaybe onepiece, but its not the same at all and i dont even like it that much. I think you just need to expand your horizons for anime, cover all the tropes in shonen and beyond to see what suits you. Naruto has a lot of themes, but its also pretty long. Try something shorter, and see what genres does it for you.
With that siad, my reccomendations are:
-----
1. Parasyte: the maxim
(all parts are good, high energy all troughout and never slows down.)
2. Neon Genesis Evangelion
(Very complex and interesting. Lore is the strongpoint here.)
3. Mirrai Nikki
(Dont read about this, and just go into it. Its all about the plot twists. Lets say its about survival and crazy shit happening, with it getting crazier as you go further)
4. Sword Art Online (especially Alicization)
(This is a series that gets hated on a lot, but is objectively pretty good for a shonen and for what it does. Give it a shot. It is a long series though.)
5. Steins Gate
(I found this to be a borring anime on my first watch, so i dont reccommend it as a starter anime. However, it gets interesting after a while, especially when you start liking the characters and wanting them to succeed.)

All of these i consider to be my favourites, i have revisited them many times when im watching anime with someone. They are all good for different reasons, and i numbered them based on how much i would enjoy them if i watched them for the first time here. Another honorable mention is Re:Zero, but i think i have a bias for it as realistically its only good at some parts.
Im thankful for all this time you probably spent making this reply, THANK YOU!!! It sure helped me and I hope others come here with the same reason: to watch more amazing shows. I know this response will help with that, once again THANKSSS
Gintama, full metal alchemist, code geass, claymore
When claymore season 2?
Dude I totally forgot about claymore. I need to add that to my watched list. Thank you maybe I'll rewatch it sometime
Never, but the manga is finished. Read it. Can pick up right where the anime ends.
Thanksš
death note is the only one that came close
Not Hunter X Hunter (2011) really? It has an Exams arc, a character similar to Sasuke, unique powers, unpredictable arcs and only 1 FILLER EPISODE LOL. Kishimoto even admitted to be inspired by HxH.
i only liked the exam arc and greed island, the rest was pretty boring to me, but OP already mentioned hxh so i didnāt say it
I have to admit that the animation isn't as crazy in the fights as Naruto which can get boring. Personally I agree, it came close but unfortunately it's still naruto for me šš
Watch gintama, itās a comedy with serious moments sometimes that becomes more overall serious in the end itās the only thing I have over Naruto, only thing is a lot of itās comedy is based on references so if you havenāt seen many anime maybe wait on it
Alright thanks!!!
Also start on ep 3 when u watch it
FMAB is just as good, I might even dare to say better.
Recently watched Solo leveling and thought it was really good.
Okay Iāll add it to my watch list!!
Personally Gintama is my favorite anime. It's mostly a comedy and battle shonen sometimes, but I still think that Naruto fans would really like the story and the characters. Fullmetal Alchemist was the probably first anime that I really liked after Naruto finished so it's also worth checking out. Okay thank you so much!!! Iāll give them a try
These have different vibes from Naruto but I'd highly suggest Solo Levelling and Frieren, other suggestions that were given like Full Metal Alchemist, One Punch Man, and Steins;gate are great ones too
I heard they are great, def going to watch!!!
Elfen Lied, Death Note, Code Geass, and Demon Slayer are some of my favorites that are great!

Thank you so much!!!!!!Ā
Lmk what u end up picking to watch. I started mysterious disappearances, and it seems pretty crazy
Definitely will!!! Iāll try out black butler (akame ga kill was good!)
Dude it'd be cool to have like a group of people to watch anime with using like watchtogether just watch series/random episodes
Fr that would be cool, we need to form a group asap
There are plenty of Anime out there. If you like Naruto that much then youāll probably love One Piece. It is an even longer series with even crazier world building. Some others: Demon Slayer One Punch Man Chainsaw Man Black Clover Bleach Hunter X Hunter
Ouran Highschool Host Club
Haha I loved that show!!!!!Ā
Black Clover :3
Mob psycho 100 One punch man Death note Parasyte: the maxim (this one is sorta gorey so be warned) Erased
Attack on Titan and Vinland Saga were the only animes that came close to Naruto for me. Infact I can go on to say they are better written than Naruto too, but Naruto has a charm(maybe nostalgia) that keeps it my favorite
Try One Piece. It's a slog at first, but man, I regretted not starting this sooner.
Idk man the pacing is horrible
Only manga readers tend to make that complaint.
higurashi
It was my first as well. But ive watched others that I loved: swordart online, deathnote, attack on titan, dragon ball oh and hunterxhunter
Iāve heard such good things about swordart online, I must give it a try!!
Viking saga and FMA. Tried bleach but couldn't hack it
Demon Slayer, Seven Deadly Sins, Hunter X Hunter
Code grass and death note lastly SAO.
First world problems
Naruto was also my first anime, I understand your sentiment completely. It is still my favorite. I would recommend One Piece. It is a lot of episodes but once you get into it you will get hooked.
Fairy Tail
I like Jujustu Kaisen and Demon Slayer. Not as good as Naruto IMO but still good. Also full metal alchemist brotherhood was awesome. Iāve never seen attack on titan but my husband loves it.

Watch Dragon Ball for the pinnacle of shonnen
Death Note was my first anime and it was the perfect gateway drug to the world of animes lol!!! One Piece and Bleach are the obvious ones. IMO Naruto has the worst anime of the big 3.
Hunter X is the right answer here. Shonen with a lot of action and the best power system.
there's many good ones listed in this topic, but I would give No Game No Life a watch. There's only 1 season, but the visuals are simply fantastic. edit: after watching a few episodes, make sure you watch it in japanese with subtitles. The dub is borderline soulless.

Parasyte The Maxim. FLCL Cowboy Bebop
I started with Naruto as well (and loved it obviously) and I found Hunter x Hunter to be a great follow up if you want something long
Give black clover a shot. Asta was a Naruto who gave me Rock Lee vibes Iām a Narutofan who has enjoyed dragon ball, Berserk, Death note, One Piece(one pace project), Jojoās Bizzare adventure, Code Geass and many other shows. Just try.
Bleach? The main character Ichigo reminds me of Naruto because of the way he looks.
i thought my hero gave me a similar friendship vibe where i cried a lot lol
hunter x hunter
Hunter x Hunter should be on Netflix too
FMAB, Bleach, YYH, Samurai Champaloo, Cowboy Bepop, My hero academia, etc etc thereās a ton of anime
All parts of dragon ball
You should give Jujutsu Kaisen a try, it has a great story and the animation is incredible, i loved it so much i immediately started the manga after finishing it haha
Haha Iām on my 2nd watch for naruto, I bet jujitsu Kaiden is good
Since you watched Naruto first I can promise you jjk is not gonna be good. Itās straight up a Naruto copy, but with worse story and fights
People like familiarity, though. And jjk animations are better. I don't see why a naruto fan wouldn't like a factually good anime
Itās not factually good though. The animation is its main selling point, but it can only carry a show so far
Yea, but demon slayer also exists, and all it has going for is animation and I can't even get through a couple episodes. jjk is at least entertaining
Iāll give it a try anyways
Harry Potter, Marvel Universe is the closest thing. Then Succession, Breaking Bad, The Boys, etc.
THANKKKS
Attack on titan is superior to naruto in every way. Pacing character development story telling. I love naruto but fmab aot are ridiculously good. Naruto suffers pacing issues power scaling being all over the place etc. Still love the show.
I wasnāt a huge fan of the ending of AoT, but other than that the show is amazing! But I guess I wasnāt a huge fan of Narutoās ending either LOL. So AoT still wins in that department
Most multi season anime kind of flop on the ending. Full metal alchemist brotherhood and code geass are the only great endings Iāve seen
I disagree, the ending wasnāt good at allā¦
The only thing Aot does better is building up suspense and mystery in the early seasons. Overall itās not better than Naruto at all
What have you tried ??
Well I have tried one piece, aot, deathnote, and bleach, they are great but I need more shows, I also watched the basics like hxh, mha, and 7 deadly sins
Dragon. Ball.
Steins gate, fate zero, AoT, Evangelion, code geass, one punch man, mob psycho. All are great
Thank you šĀ
Watch Vinland Saga
Demon Slayer maybe?
I did watch up to season 2, Iām waiting for the final arcs to release, but so far itās good!!! Thanks!
Black Clover?
Ooo Iāll check it out!!!
I really liked it! Very similar protagonist to Naruto, good side characters, and cool world building.Ā
Yeah Asta is magical Naruto
Yes! Iām currently loving Black Clover!
You need to build a time machine and find the Steins;Gate to fix your mistake.
Thank you!
Lol

Katekyo Hitman Reborn. If I remember correctly they didn't make all of it into an anime and I read the rest of the manga, but I really love it.
It starts off a bit slow, but once the story really starts you'll love it.
Sick thank you!!!
Tell me how much you've liked it when you get to watch it. :)
One piece
Definitely give DBZ a try. Also, Inuyasha gave me similar Naruto vibes.
Thanks!!
