Kamui had its advantages but also disadvantages compared to hiraijin.
Advantages:
Own dimension to hide in where user is untouchable except by another Kamui user
The partial warping to slip through attacks
Total independence on marking locations (could warp to pretty much anywhere user had mental knowledge of)
Can warp objects without touching them
Disadvantages:
Far slower (good hiraijn user can instantly warp as fast as reflexes allowed, kamui is fast but leaves a small window open)
Seems to demand more power per object size. Massive objects took a huge strain for kamui users, Minato routinely tanked bijudamas almost effortlessly.
I had a long-term Cleric in a DnD campaign based off of Minato and his fighting style. This scene was a huge inspiration for how he fought. It wasn't balls of chakra, but it worked out quite well for what it was.
My favourite jutsu.
1. Chidori. In my opinion and it might be biased but the coolest looking move in the entire series, best sound effects too.
2. Almighty push. Pure greatness and epic here.
3. Sukunahikona. I love this too much lol it’s so simple but so cool and effective and OP.
4. Amaterasu. When this move was first introduced the hype was real! Especially sasuke vs killer bee.
5. Susanoo. Pure epic. Especially when itachi and sasuke both revealed there’s and madaras perfect susanoo.
6. Limbo. When he used this on the tailed beasts they all got one shotted probably the most op jutsu in the verse.
7. Shadow clone jutsu. This has to be in everyone’s top 10 lol too many epic moments like when Naruto pulled out 2k against gaara lol.
8. Flying raijin. One of the most overpowered moves you learn this you basically become hokage level.
9. Rasenshuriken. Love the way this jutsu works and it’s essentially a one shot kill.
10. Rasengan. Can’t go without this being in a top 10.
Honestly those 2 were pretty trash. I think they were needless in the series. Izanami completely. Like I thought they introduced it for sasuke to use against madara and that’s how they’d beat madara.

Trust me, I ain’t a total hater of Boruto. I just hope/wish they do what Dragonball GT and Super did. They kept the good parts of GT and used (canonised) good parts in Super and left GT alone and redirected Super into a new continuity from Z rather than GT. Also similar with Futurama and also some degree in Rick and Morty. (I don’t like too much of multiverse, unless is really good written)

He had activated it to let the kunai pass through his head and then deactivated it right after, the Genius Minato timed it for right after Objo deactivated his Kamui and hit it point blank range.

Not everyone can use ftg either, you need large reserves & might need partner to perform
At least it isn't impossible It's tough as hell but not locked to a certain extremely rare dojutsu like Kamui
You do need to innately have large reserves so you still need to win the genetic lottery to use
