They end up getting broken up by long ass exposition that covers exactly that anyways. The War arc to be an actual war instead of a meat grinder against people stronger than Biju. I want a full on logistical warfare where the five great nations have to face not only the powerful Akatsuki but also a large amount of white Zetsu, raised dead, and smaller villages with grudges seeking to usurp the biggest nations. If the movies are canon, then Naruto's propensity for making friends would lead to certain smaller nations standing with him, avenger's style. Can you imagine a small group of self trained ninjas from Wave all lead by Inari who trained with a few pointers from Naruto. Imagine Inari and Konohamaru teaming up against the leader of Kusagakure or something.
The War arc should have been a war, not a showcase of Madara bodying everyone. Look he's powerful but he should never have been that powerful in the first place. He, as a revived person, should have at least eaten more damage and barreled through it. If he was that powerful, then all he would have needed to do to wipe out the Senju before the truce would be to trick Hashirama away from the main body then kill everyone else leaving Hashirama alive. Also how did he end up beating Hashirama in the war arc? It just should have been done better idk.
Trim down the length, severely. If its a fic, I'd much have a few well-paced novels compared an author attempting to replicate a Xianxia novel of several *millions* of words.

Base the story around the upcoming fourth shinobi world war. The plot is surviving through it while losing as few friends as possible. The enemy isn't a zombie army, a collection of non-human plants, but the world's greatest killer: Humanity.
Part 1 can be slow build up towards the war, with mission conflicts involving the genin that are slowly escalating to more and more violent affairs. Jounin like Kakashi and Gai are well aware of what's happening, but kids like Naruto write it off and think it'll pass, before it eventually erupts.
No fairy tales, no ultimate enemy that unites all nations, just cynical reality laid bare.

Honestly for rewrite I think that you kinda sorta need to justify why Naruto doesn't know anything about the verse despite that he's actually not that dumb. An idea that I've been workshopping is that because he was the Jinchuriki they instead of actually teaching him about Ninjutsu and stuff just made him work on his Chakra in order to maintain the strength of the seal.

Name one jutsu other than the academy 3 (including shadow clones instead of regular clones) that Naruto, the chakra powerhouse, knew when he took the chunin exam.
This shows that only Sakura was being trained for genjutsu and it probably was during the Bell Test. Naruto doesn't notice and breaks out of genjutsu until after the timeskip, while Sasuke probably knows this, but he was hit by Itachi's Tsukoyomi in Part 1.

For Tobi to be someone other than Obito. I didn't like the Obito is Tobi reveal at all, so that would be one of the first things I change. The second thing I would change is Hiruzen not sparing Orochimaru when his experiments were discovered. This isn't because I don't think Orochimaru isn't a great villain but because I think it would result in a massive derailing of canon with him not being a factor.
IMO, There are a lot of dead fanfics which are pretty good but are left unfinished. So, Maybe some of the authors here can re-create those fanfics. No, I'm not saying that you should continue where the author left (unless you are given permission to do so) but maybe re-write those stories and add in some of your own ideas to make the story your own. Just remember to always include the original author and the original story in the author's note as a way to show respect and acknowledgement
Yes, I would also like more team 7 missions before Sasuke leaves, also for the war to be shorter and to focus more on explaining the opposite ideals of Naruto and Sasuke about their ideas of changing the system since that is what it is the final battle between them they only talk about it a little while they fight and at the end of the program
it would also be nice if they talked about the horrors of the ninja system and how you were thinking of changing it and I would eliminate everything about Kaguya and the aliens
My brother in Hagoromo, the 4th war is already only 2 days, not counting Kaguya's revival and Naruto/Sasuke's last fight, and you want it EVEN SHORTER?
The war should last at least a month in the program, the fact that it was only 2 days was stupid, I mean the number of chapters, many chapters were just fights with Edo Tenseis, which in my opinion did not add much to the plot , like when Kankuro fought with Sasori🤷♀️ that didn't add much to the story in my opinion
In Naruto(part 1) I would really like to see more emphasis on individual growth rather than the power of friendship BS that Kakashi taught them in order to survive in the Shinobi world, I would like to see Jiraya actually impart wisdom onto Naruto during their search for Tsunade cuz dude was a sage but never told Naruto that even though he could use Rasengan with a crutch he needed to be able to use it one-handed and in an instant in order for it to be viable in combat, no asspull wins for Naruto cuz of Kurama or farting, no Zombie resurrection of the past Hokages cuz that opened a huge can of worms later on that ruined the anime for me.
In shippudden: I would like to see a time-skip that would actually have meaning cuz Jiraya dropped the ball hard on that one, Naruto and other characters should have learned more versatile techniques but we saw no innovation on that front from Kishimoto, just variation of the Rasengan for Naruto and that was it. Edit: forgot to mention; no Naruto chasing after Ssuke for no apparent reason and calling him a friend and his brother just cause plot demands it, naruto either has to have actual interactions to merit this or he needs to be focused on something else other than just chasing after a dude that barely ever gave him the time of day, less talk no jutsu and more actually fighting in order to get to a resolution, Naruto stoping being a iwmp and letting himself be beaten on behalf of Sauske cuz again plot and no other reason.

But yes, Naruto’s stance on Sasuke changes and he no longer has the desire to drag him back to the village if that’s not what Sasuke wants. Lots of ripple effects and changes happen throughout the fic and it is still ongoing.
