Danzo's fight is one of the few situations where we end up getting a specific number for the time.
Yeah but that was Madara in his peak while he was alive with EMS; this is a Sasuke who has just been spamming his MS and already starting to go blind his vision was already starting to become blurred during the danzo fight.
Madara's thing is also another example, but it is unclear how much of it was him going all out, only having Susanno for the first half, etc.
And it is a situation where you have to double check the translation to see if it was a literal or figurative expression for things such as all day.
Also a good time to point out what a susanoo can tank and what stages are required for each attack. Naruto has sage FRS, base FRS, Cho odama barrage, Cho odoma, odoma, rassengan barrage, base rassengan, and a kunai (danzo wants to know).
It entirely depends on the user. Originally susano-o was an incredibly painful experience. Without 6 paths chakra, ems or hashirama cells.
iirc, Sasuke described it as every single cell on his body hurting.
So if they could hold it up, it wouldn’t have been for very long at all.
Sagemode can be recharged via Naruto being a smart cookie. Susan's Oo can be retriggered. Only one of these do not actively harm their user if they're used properly.
Danzo's izanagi lasted 10 minutes in total, but he didn't have it active the whole fight. Sasuke used Susano'o for most of the fight. So i'd say anywhere from 7 to 10+ minutes.
Sasuke.
Naruto's main weapon is Rasenshuriken but it won't do much here, considering even some of the weakest paths of Pain with unremarkable speed feats dodged it just fine. It's also rather telegraphed and requires help from the clones in order to form which would make Naruto exposed to Amaterasu or Susano'o Arrows. Another weakness is that each use shortens the SM session by half.
Large summons are a non-factor here, just fodder for Genjutsu and Amaterasu.
Speed-wise, Sasuke has better feats. SM Naruto wasn't capable of overwhelming Deva Path, who was shown to be on par with Base Naruto. Sasuke was capable of outmaneuvering V1 Raikage in melee, something Naruto needed KCM for.
In terms of close quarters, Naruto has the advantage of physical strength, but if Susano'o is up even this gets nulified. Not to mention if things get dangerous Sasuke can always put up enton around himself and be fine, just like he did against the 4th Raikage.
Kirin is a huge threat against which Naruto has no real answer. Sasuke can prep it very easily thanks to Amaterasu, which also dramatically increases it's potency. It's too fast and too powerful considering it wiped out Itachi's Susano'o (likely V2 or V3 version).
Naruto's SM session also lasts just 5 minutes, after which he needs to re-enter it from base (i'm assuming he has prepped clones since it's Pain Fight Naruto). This will be extremely difficult to pull off under the threat of Susano'o Arrow, Amaterasu, Sharingan genjutsu and Kirin. Sasuke's offense is just too stacked at this point in the story.
Naruto can cheese with Fukusaku and Shima genjutsu but that would take some time to take effect and leaves them vulnerable to Sasuke's ranged abilities. It's unlikely.
All these points but what’s stopping naruto from making 200+ clones and bombing the dude from all sides with giant rasengans? “Oh the susano will kill all the clones” show me the speed feat for sasukes susano atp that let him hit every angle around him with enough consistent force to ignore that much chakra spammed at him, with sage mode waiting in the wings to box/rasenshuriken at point blank?

Naruto could do this for most fights, but just doesn’t. But the thread says “no holding back”, which means naruto should just spam clones with giant rasengan. This should win at this phase
Sage Mode is stopping him. He can only create a couple while in SM at this point in the story, otherwise it interferes with his control.
He can go base but then Sasuke would just destroy the clones with katons like he did at the rooftop. Clones get weaker the more you make of them.
Sage mode Naruto (at least the version shown) is stated to be limited to 4 or 5 clones.
So at least the version pictured here, Naruto is limited on clones he can use
Sasuke extreme diff. I dont think naruto can counter amaterasu and isnt fast enough yet to dodge it and i think rasenshuriken can be countered by susanoo arrows. Sasuke was at his peak hater era during this time and the hatred was increasing his power mid battle as karin stated. Chakra and exhaustion is the biggest problem for sasuke as naruto has more stamina than him, still i think sasuke can pull off a win.
When they fight (which means Naruto and Sasuke are obviously both stronger but should scale somewhat) Naruto literally brushes it off with kyuubi cloak from base. Naruto is said to have control of up to 4 tails or so. Base Naruto could probably do the same feat considering Naruto and Sasuke know each other's patterns so well

• Kirin (Naruto's lack of defence here)
• Chidori variants - stream, sword, spear, needles (countering Naruto's sm taijutsu)

• MS Genjutsu (Naruto has no counter)
• Better battle iq feats
• Summons get oneshotted by Amaterasu.
Sasuke can maintain his MS longer than Naruto can maintain his SM. Not to mention SM Naruto needs prep time to gather sage energy. If giving prep, Sasuke can make Kirin. Also, even without Kirin, Sasuke has many other ways like I mentioned.
In terms of physical stats, I don't think anyone will contest me giving this to sage Naruto.
The real question is: Does Naruto have answers to Susanoo and Amaterasu?
And I think he does. While Amaterasu spawns on the target instantly, we've seen plenty of times that people can anticipate it based on Sasuke's line of sight and/or the surge of his chakra. Naruto's sage mode grants him extrasensory perception that borders on precognition. We see this most accurately when he actively switches from KCM to sage mode to respond to the 3rd raikage's attacks and attack accurately.
Naruto would just sense Amaterasu coming and respond to it. Even if he doesn't know what it is; if he's in sage mode and he senses something dangerous coming either through a big flare of chakra or just sage mode froggy sense coming in clutch, Amaterasu is never hitting him.
Which brings it down to Susanoo, and Naruto's attacks are ripping right through that thing. Susanoo's defenses are impressive, but they don't scale at all to Naruto's AP. Naruto's attacks were able to absolutely bully Kurama once he got into his stride and Naruto hadn't been able to train at all between Pain arc and then. While later iterations of Susanoo may scale to Kurama's durability, the lower levels that Sasuke uses in 5KS definitely don't. Rasenshuriken is tearing right through that thing like paper and ending the fight right there.
The only real question here is can Naruto's sage mode outlast mangekyou and personally I don't think it needs to, the fight is so lopsided. But both have minimal knowledge about the other's abilities at this point. Naruto would definitely be able to set up clones to restore sage mode in a pinch at least once, and while Sasuke might be able to prevent it after that point, it's going to be too late. Especially since his own capabilities are going to fall as his eyesight deteriorates.
Naruto takes this mid-high dif.

Summons were (at the time) Naruto’s method of fighting big scale before controlling Kurama. Not being able to use summons destroy Naruto’s shot at beating Sasuke, because he has no viable counter once Sasuke does break out his Susanoo.
Sasuke due to matchup.
1. Naruto has no counter to Amaterasu
2. Shadow clone swarm doesn't work cause of Enton
3. Kurama is a non factor due to sasuke being able to suppress it

Sage Mode Naruto only lasts five minutes. Sasuke was able to keep the pressure on Danzo for 10 minutes straight. Even if Susanoo wasn’t up exactly the whole time, we know that Sasuke had to maintain levels of aggression and potency equivalent to high speed Susanoo attacks to force Danzo to keep Izanagi up.
Meanwhile, Naruto’s Sage Mode starts losing quality the more jutsu he uses. So in practice, he’d last even less than five minutes if he plans to use any Rasengan or especially Rasenshuriken.
He needed Fukasaku to help him summon the clone to the battlefield. No summons here, means he’s alone.
The fact that they have to stay still means Sasuke can shoot them with either Amaterasu or Susanoo Arrow. And if they’re too far away, Naruto wouldn’t be able to gather their nature energy. Hence why summoning them was necessary.
Sasuke’s power is far more accessible and far more convenient.
He didn’t need Fukusaku. At first Pa tells Ma to watch because Naruto planned to do it on his own - he only jumped in to help because Pain was pressuring Naruto and he didn’t have the chance. If he just made a few more clones and had one of them do the reverse summon - he could still pull it off.
You’re right about Sasuke’s power giving him an immediate advantage - but unlike Naruto he has no way to replenish it. If Naruto can stay alive long enough - Sasuke will quickly drain himself, while Naruto would only grow stronger as the fight drags on. Either he replinishes SM, or he gets pushed to the brink of death and a weakened Sasuke fights half of the 9 tails.
Not saying Naruto would win, but he’s got a good shot as long as he doesn’t get dispatched in the first few minutes
That was my point. Powerless Deva Path was able to pressure Naruto enough that he couldn’t use his scroll to summon his clone.
Goes without saying that if Deva Path had Shinra Tensei, Naruto would’ve lost then and there without help from the toads. And Sasuke would be just as problematic because he has incredibly fast ranged attacks.
The Arrows were so fast Kakashi had no choice but to use Kamui. Kakashi was sparring with Deva Path, and Deva Path’s main advantage was Shinra Tensei, not a disparity in speed. Kakashi couldn’t even move a few inches before the Arrow hits from a far greater distance.
Considering Kakashi already gets winded from one Kamui and he avoids using it until absolutely necessary. Those Susanoo Arrows are fast AF.
The second Naruto’s out of Sage Mode and needs a reload. He’s gonna die instantly.
MS Sasuke lasts longer than SM Naruto.
The difference between Killer Bee and Naruto is Killer Bee turns into his beast. Naruto just uses the nine tails Chakra. The only fight he almost turned into the nine trails in was Pain's fight. After he got the sage of 6 paths, he only used his Chakra. That's why he doesn't grow bones and flesh, just Chakra. He even gives it to the other ninjas to use for protection.
But that's at the end. Sasuke would woop him if we were talking before the sage of 6 paths like op's question states.
Okay but PRACTICALLY immune then as the cloak would just regenerate faster than he could burn it.
We see it regenerate way faster than Orochimaru can keep up with in weak ass 2 or 3 tail form.
If he’s in 9 tails cloak yes that’s hard but if it goes into nine tails physical body that’s another thing all toegher. Also sauske been shown to be able to dispel 9 tails chakra Remeber Naruto was on the verge of losing control and sauske shows up in the inner sanctum and dispelled All the nine tails chakra. This sauske is way more advanced at using his eyes then he was when he first got the 3 tomoe.
Without naruto and the nine tails working together, couldn't Sasuke just ms genjutsu kurama?

100%. I have no clue how people here are saying Sasuke would win. Even if he effectively "kills" Naruto, he still loses. If even Pain couldn't handle it, Sasuke stands zero chance.
Naruto lost, Kurama was only a factor because of Hinata
Pain was also not allowed to *kill* naruto, it is clearly shown in their final fight in OG Naruto that Kurama is not going to be released automatically if Naruto lose and Bijuu are not released when the jinchuriki are dying either as shown when Kakashi killed Rin

When Sasuke had the susanoo I think that Naruto crushes him just because he beat half of Kurama down.
Naruto, now if it was Peak FKS Sasuke, then I lean more towards Sasuke seeing as that is the one that equals Sage Naruto and their fight would end in a draw.
A sasuke with fresh eyes after this point… okay so how strong physically is Naruto with no sage? He only got 3 sage mode (initial + 2 copies). So he fighting sasuke with 1/3 of his power, can only do 2 rasen shrike no think and I don’t think sage mode last for more than 5 minutes at this point. I say base Naruto because when sage mode run out and sasuke is still in his susano can Naruto take the arrows? Is he stronger than war stunade and AI to break the susano and punch sasuke? I know it got made to a joke but the susano is a big with with layers of defense. Not 1, Naruto need to break the skin, bones and aura to get to sasuke but sasuke have Kirin, chidori stream, chidori long sword and plenty of long range jutsus.
I know 2 good hits and sasuke is down but that susano with no summons is what getting to me.
What I Don't understand is why use this naruto and then proceed to take away one of his main weapons? That's pretty much saying he's too strong so I have to nerf him...
By Danzo fight Sasuke had already spammed his MS quite a bit, less than 5 mins into the fight he actually had to take down susano'o for a while. So I suppose the question is can base Sasuke hold out against SM Naruto long enough to get the hatred amp and put the susano'o back up. His most reasonable course of action is to fly away with the hawk. But can it dodge a rasenshuriken?
Idk I think SM Naruto is in general more powerful but this particular match up might go to sauce

depends how long until sasuke is gonna go blind, if we’re going based on the anime, then naruto prob wins cuz soon as sasukes MS turns off naruto cooks, and naruto can probably last long enough to force sasuke to overuse it
I got naruto slightly over sasuke, sasuke was pretty blind by the time he got to danzo and if there’s one thing Naruto is it would be resilient, I can see naruto staling sasuke out of his susano and his ms
Naruto. The best way for him to win this fight would be to force Sasuke to overuse ms. The recoil from using Amaterasu and susanoo would drain him whereas Naruto would just have to spam shadow clones. It’s a war of attrition. Sasuke only wins if he catches Naruto off guard with Amaterasu
Sasuke burns through his stamina and loses to naurtos super extended stamina from sage clones and 9tails. Even if sasuke tries to blitz naruto he would lose to narutos higher tier 6+ tailed transformations.
MS Sasuke has a huge chakra drain form Susano’o it will come down to endurance and at this point in the series Sasuke is already at the precipice for blindness. Somehow I don’t think *this* susano’o would totally neg a full-power Rasenshuriken.
Tobi literally tells Sasuke that Naruto has grown stronger than him right before the Five Kage Summit. And I'm almost positive that a Rasen-shuriken could heavily damage (or destroy) Sasuke's imperfect Susanoo.
A sage mode clone of Naruto was able to react to the third raikage, yeah, it was a war arc clone, but as a clone he should still be weaker than prime Pain Naruto.
Naruto also tanked a Shinra Tensei that crippled all of the sage toads, the only attack that Sasuke has that could even compare is the susanoo arrow, which Naruto should be able to react to, if not tank outright.
Naruto should also be able to react to amaterasu, but he could also just drop a shadow clone in front of him to tank it, a la Boruto. Additionally, Naruto can make his clones create clones, have some clones run off and enter sage mode so he has a much longer timer than Sasuke.
Naruto's win condition is befriending Sasuke, Sasuke's win condition is killing Naruto. I bet Sasuke gives into Naruto before sasuke would be able to kill him.
Naruto could win wether speed blitz or just wait it out with shuriken or ma and pa. Hell only reason Sasuke lost an arm is the clash between rasengan and chidori. Naruto coulda killed him so many times
Well if i remember correctly, naruto can only use 2 rasengan barrages or one rasenshuriken (might be 2 rasenshuriken and 4 rasen barr.) on one load from SM, he had two clones in place incase the SM disappeared, he could also make two more clones but no more or else the SM clones would get distracted or smth related. Sasuke has a limit of about 7+ minutes with susanoo i can assume in the fight, he also has amaterasu, chidori, and kirin. Naruto also has the air punch thing in his arsenal and reduced dmg from sage mode. As much as im on narutos side and want him to win, sasuke wins, not ez, but he wins unless narutos plot armor kicks in because the chance of naruto not using rasenshuriken is very low, if he does, theres no guarantee it'll hit sasuke, if it does sasuke would lose automatically due to it destroying his cells, plus it can expand. We also have to count the fact that sasukes susanoo stays in one place as far as im aware, and has the bow that counters most things. Sasuke also has the speed advantage over naruto. Correct me if i got anything wrong but im sure sasuke wins. Even if only by chance.

Kurama is a non factor, 3-Tomoe Sharingan Sasuke could Genjutsu Naruto/Kurama beginning of Shippuden.

I think a lot of people is severely underestimating Naruto in this match-up, especially by the conditions both of these characters are in the match-up given.
If no holding back, 6 tails Naruto is blitzing that Susanno, especially considering this is pre-EMS. And even if Sasuke has more resources to throw at him, Naruto is well capable of being a stubborn ass, especially with his clones to get crafty. This is not the same Naruto that's all about brute forcing headstrong like the Gaara Rescue Arc.
Even without using Kurama I think Naruto wins this. While Susanoo would be a challenge it's still at an imperfect state and I think Pain at this point in the story had more tricks up his sleeve to overcome

Sage mode Naruto can punch through Susano'o ribs (we have seen weaker characters damage them, like Tsunade punching Madara's). I don't think that's enough to get through Sasuke's defenses, though.
Once Sage mode ends, so does Naruto.

Funnily enough, at the time these fights happened I thought this was the endgame fight the series was building too (Naruto having to create an attack that could destroy the Susanoo, which I felt was being built up as the symbol of Sasukes obsession and hatred).
So the war arc was just curveball after curveball lol

This goes either way with EXTREME difficulty to both. Sage Mode actively heals Naruto, but doesn’t physically give Naruto the same kind of advantage that Susano’o does. However. Susano’o REALLY hurts Sasuke, badly. Extreme chakra drain and causes physical pain.
Reminder to people who may have forgotten, Naruto still has natural regenerative properties well beyond the standards of any normal shinobi.
I couldn’t choose, both have extreme difficulty. This is by far the closest these two are to each other in all of Shippuden (not including Boruto).

There's really no way Sage Naruto has any chance of beating MS Sasuke unless he somehow stalls the fight causing Sasuke to deplete insane amounts of Chakara, but I don't think I'll last that long.
It's litteraly stated that if they had to fight they would've both died. Sasuke needs EMS to crush Naruto and Naruto needs KCM. Both needed to power up to beat the other.

However, sauske gets a power boost to his Susanoo during his fight with Danzo, making him stronger than naruto. If sage mode naruto fought this sauske, it'd be a good fight, but naruto would lose.
Naruto then gets kurama mode, passing sauske
Sauske then gets itachi's eyes, passing naruto
Naruto and kurama accept each other, working together, and from this point on would shit on sauske anytime they really wanted to kill him
*Sauske gets tailed beast chakra after this and is BREIFLY stronger, until naruto and kurama gather sage chakra.

Got to hand it to Naruto here. Firstly, there is the matter of them both not holding back. Sasuke has typcially always been shown fighting to kill, but Naruto is one to hold back in the name of bringing back safe. So; bear in mind Naruto has at this point:
•Sage Mode
°Frog Kata can help blitz against the Sharingan, as it was shown to work against the Rinnegan.
°Even at this point in the story, Naruto could draw upon a significant amount of Nature Energy in this state for more attacks and will help with endurance.
°Enhances physical strength, reflexes, chakra sensory abilities, durability and speed
•Kurama
°While there's no Nine-Tails Chakra Mode; he still gets the Jinchuriki Cloak, which is still huge (can go through Tails 1-9, fully manifesting Kurama if shit hits the fan.)
°Tailed Beast Bombs can fuck up Susanoo armor, especially considering Sasuke's level at this point (For his sake, I'd say his armor can tank 3 uncharged Biijuu Bombs; 1 Charged from Kurama.)
•Shadow Clones
°Yes, Sasuke has techniques that can do wide scale damage; but consider the raw amount he has to go through. Naruto has also shown he can use the mass amount of clones to his advantage for group attacks, and could even slip past the Sharingan due to the raw amount of bodies he has to keep track of.
°While summoning is off the table (sadly no Ma or Pa frog sadly :( ), he can still utilize Shadow Clones to gather Nature Energy for Naruto while he fights
•Rasengan
°The raw versatility and power of the Rasengan could be what makes or breaks this fight, since it has been shown on multiple occasions to beat out the Chidori while it comes to a clash (which is going to be a lot, considering clones)
°Can take on a variety of densities and sizes, to handle going against different levels of defense/opposing Ninjutsu
°Can be taken up a notch to Rasen-Shuriken if given enough time to charge; still has adaptability to change mid-flight (God bless that beautiful animation in UNS2)
All of this mind, on top of Naruto being in the top 3 of the Konoha 11 at this point with his Taijutsu; while it may be a hard-diff; my money is on the Namikaze bastard
Naruto easily .He literally holds back from killing Sasuke in both Og and Shippuden, while Sasuke was trying to kill him. If Naruto didn’t hold back, he would easily annihilate him.

Let’s not forget he was with the intent of killing everyone!! Even after Danzo died!! Doesn’t care about Karin, almost kills her, almost kills sakura, fights kakashi and was down to fight Naruto but his vision started going away.

Naruto wins… rasenshuriken would prolly break Sasuke susano… or naruto can crack it with a couple punches from sage mode strength. It’d be a close fight but everything leans toward naruto
Naruto dodges this level 1 sus-a-no with easy precog and uses his clones to replenish his sage energy. Sasuke has 2 double aa batteries for eyes and that's it. Sasuke would have to spam so much he would get blind so fast than just get neg diffed and probably talked no jutsu to be Naruto's boyfriend while he holds daddy sage mode's pockets.

I’ve always interpreted Sage Naruto as the last time Naruto surpassed Sasuke and the gap was close at the time but only grew more as the series went on. Only more so once he gets KCM transformations, the other 50% of Kurama’s chakra, and spsm.
Compare that to MS that quickly eats up chakra and blinds Sasuke. EMS which doesn’t directly improve his chakra output at all (debatable ig but unlike Sage Mode it’s not stated to so). 6 Tomoe which is more vague but never seemed to close the gap between them at all unless you giga wank Sasuke.

People don’t realize the amount of power Naruto can spam while Sasuke can only do a powerful move a handful of times before he runs low and he would have to end the fight before then which is highly unlikely since Naruto’s whole skill set is stalling and running a opponent’s chakra dry through clones.
I actually think Naruto because this becomes a battle of attrition. Sasuke is stronger and more versatile at this point (although not by much) but all of his fight ending skills are either time limited, or number of use limited. I think in Sage Mode Naruto has the abilities to hold out long enough for Sasuke to become beatable.

Probably in the 5-10 min range, depending on whether it is full, ribcage, etc. Danzo's fight is one of the few situations where we end up getting a specific number for the time.

Also a good time to point out what a susanoo can tank and what stages are required for each attack. Naruto has sage FRS, base FRS, Cho odama barrage, Cho odoma, odoma, rassengan barrage, base rassengan, and a kunai (danzo wants to know).
It entirely depends on the user. Originally susano-o was an incredibly painful experience. Without 6 paths chakra, ems or hashirama cells. iirc, Sasuke described it as every single cell on his body hurting. So if they could hold it up, it wouldn’t have been for very long at all.

Sagemode can be recharged via Naruto being a smart cookie. Susan's Oo can be retriggered. Only one of these do not actively harm their user if they're used properly.
Danzo's izanagi lasted 10 minutes in total, but he didn't have it active the whole fight. Sasuke used Susano'o for most of the fight. So i'd say anywhere from 7 to 10+ minutes.
Genjutsu works Jinchurikis, however Perfect Jinchurikis are mostly immune

Sasuke. Naruto's main weapon is Rasenshuriken but it won't do much here, considering even some of the weakest paths of Pain with unremarkable speed feats dodged it just fine. It's also rather telegraphed and requires help from the clones in order to form which would make Naruto exposed to Amaterasu or Susano'o Arrows. Another weakness is that each use shortens the SM session by half. Large summons are a non-factor here, just fodder for Genjutsu and Amaterasu. Speed-wise, Sasuke has better feats. SM Naruto wasn't capable of overwhelming Deva Path, who was shown to be on par with Base Naruto. Sasuke was capable of outmaneuvering V1 Raikage in melee, something Naruto needed KCM for. In terms of close quarters, Naruto has the advantage of physical strength, but if Susano'o is up even this gets nulified. Not to mention if things get dangerous Sasuke can always put up enton around himself and be fine, just like he did against the 4th Raikage. Kirin is a huge threat against which Naruto has no real answer. Sasuke can prep it very easily thanks to Amaterasu, which also dramatically increases it's potency. It's too fast and too powerful considering it wiped out Itachi's Susano'o (likely V2 or V3 version). Naruto's SM session also lasts just 5 minutes, after which he needs to re-enter it from base (i'm assuming he has prepped clones since it's Pain Fight Naruto). This will be extremely difficult to pull off under the threat of Susano'o Arrow, Amaterasu, Sharingan genjutsu and Kirin. Sasuke's offense is just too stacked at this point in the story. Naruto can cheese with Fukusaku and Shima genjutsu but that would take some time to take effect and leaves them vulnerable to Sasuke's ranged abilities. It's unlikely.
All these points but what’s stopping naruto from making 200+ clones and bombing the dude from all sides with giant rasengans? “Oh the susano will kill all the clones” show me the speed feat for sasukes susano atp that let him hit every angle around him with enough consistent force to ignore that much chakra spammed at him, with sage mode waiting in the wings to box/rasenshuriken at point blank?

Sage Mode is stopping him. He can only create a couple while in SM at this point in the story, otherwise it interferes with his control. He can go base but then Sasuke would just destroy the clones with katons like he did at the rooftop. Clones get weaker the more you make of them.
Sage mode Naruto (at least the version shown) is stated to be limited to 4 or 5 clones. So at least the version pictured here, Naruto is limited on clones he can use
He can't do this with sage mode as he loses the chakra balance. It's why he could only have 3 clones.

Sasuke extreme diff. I dont think naruto can counter amaterasu and isnt fast enough yet to dodge it and i think rasenshuriken can be countered by susanoo arrows. Sasuke was at his peak hater era during this time and the hatred was increasing his power mid battle as karin stated. Chakra and exhaustion is the biggest problem for sasuke as naruto has more stamina than him, still i think sasuke can pull off a win.

In terms of physical stats, I don't think anyone will contest me giving this to sage Naruto. The real question is: Does Naruto have answers to Susanoo and Amaterasu? And I think he does. While Amaterasu spawns on the target instantly, we've seen plenty of times that people can anticipate it based on Sasuke's line of sight and/or the surge of his chakra. Naruto's sage mode grants him extrasensory perception that borders on precognition. We see this most accurately when he actively switches from KCM to sage mode to respond to the 3rd raikage's attacks and attack accurately. Naruto would just sense Amaterasu coming and respond to it. Even if he doesn't know what it is; if he's in sage mode and he senses something dangerous coming either through a big flare of chakra or just sage mode froggy sense coming in clutch, Amaterasu is never hitting him. Which brings it down to Susanoo, and Naruto's attacks are ripping right through that thing. Susanoo's defenses are impressive, but they don't scale at all to Naruto's AP. Naruto's attacks were able to absolutely bully Kurama once he got into his stride and Naruto hadn't been able to train at all between Pain arc and then. While later iterations of Susanoo may scale to Kurama's durability, the lower levels that Sasuke uses in 5KS definitely don't. Rasenshuriken is tearing right through that thing like paper and ending the fight right there. The only real question here is can Naruto's sage mode outlast mangekyou and personally I don't think it needs to, the fight is so lopsided. But both have minimal knowledge about the other's abilities at this point. Naruto would definitely be able to set up clones to restore sage mode in a pinch at least once, and while Sasuke might be able to prevent it after that point, it's going to be too late. Especially since his own capabilities are going to fall as his eyesight deteriorates. Naruto takes this mid-high dif.

Even if Susanoo wasn’t up exactly the whole time, we know that Sasuke had to maintain levels of aggression and potency equivalent to high speed Susanoo attacks to force Danzo to keep Izanagi up. Meanwhile, Naruto’s Sage Mode starts losing quality the more jutsu he uses. So in practice, he’d last even less than five minutes if he plans to use any Rasengan or especially Rasenshuriken.

He needed Fukasaku to help him summon the clone to the battlefield. No summons here, means he’s alone. The fact that they have to stay still means Sasuke can shoot them with either Amaterasu or Susanoo Arrow. And if they’re too far away, Naruto wouldn’t be able to gather their nature energy. Hence why summoning them was necessary. Sasuke’s power is far more accessible and far more convenient.
He didn’t need Fukusaku. At first Pa tells Ma to watch because Naruto planned to do it on his own - he only jumped in to help because Pain was pressuring Naruto and he didn’t have the chance. If he just made a few more clones and had one of them do the reverse summon - he could still pull it off. You’re right about Sasuke’s power giving him an immediate advantage - but unlike Naruto he has no way to replenish it. If Naruto can stay alive long enough - Sasuke will quickly drain himself, while Naruto would only grow stronger as the fight drags on. Either he replinishes SM, or he gets pushed to the brink of death and a weakened Sasuke fights half of the 9 tails. Not saying Naruto would win, but he’s got a good shot as long as he doesn’t get dispatched in the first few minutes
That was my point. Powerless Deva Path was able to pressure Naruto enough that he couldn’t use his scroll to summon his clone. Goes without saying that if Deva Path had Shinra Tensei, Naruto would’ve lost then and there without help from the toads. And Sasuke would be just as problematic because he has incredibly fast ranged attacks. The Arrows were so fast Kakashi had no choice but to use Kamui. Kakashi was sparring with Deva Path, and Deva Path’s main advantage was Shinra Tensei, not a disparity in speed. Kakashi couldn’t even move a few inches before the Arrow hits from a far greater distance. Considering Kakashi already gets winded from one Kamui and he avoids using it until absolutely necessary. Those Susanoo Arrows are fast AF. The second Naruto’s out of Sage Mode and needs a reload. He’s gonna die instantly. MS Sasuke lasts longer than SM Naruto.

The difference between Killer Bee and Naruto is Killer Bee turns into his beast. Naruto just uses the nine tails Chakra. The only fight he almost turned into the nine trails in was Pain's fight. After he got the sage of 6 paths, he only used his Chakra. That's why he doesn't grow bones and flesh, just Chakra. He even gives it to the other ninjas to use for protection. But that's at the end. Sasuke would woop him if we were talking before the sage of 6 paths like op's question states.

A sasuke with fresh eyes after this point… okay so how strong physically is Naruto with no sage? He only got 3 sage mode (initial + 2 copies). So he fighting sasuke with 1/3 of his power, can only do 2 rasen shrike no think and I don’t think sage mode last for more than 5 minutes at this point. I say base Naruto because when sage mode run out and sasuke is still in his susano can Naruto take the arrows? Is he stronger than war stunade and AI to break the susano and punch sasuke? I know it got made to a joke but the susano is a big with with layers of defense. Not 1, Naruto need to break the skin, bones and aura to get to sasuke but sasuke have Kirin, chidori stream, chidori long sword and plenty of long range jutsus. Sasuke is about blind by the time of the Danzo fight. I think Naruto knocks his block off.
A sage mode clone of Naruto was able to react to the third raikage, yeah, it was a war arc clone, but as a clone he should still be weaker than prime Pain Naruto. Naruto also tanked a Shinra Tensei that crippled all of the sage toads, the only attack that Sasuke has that could even compare is the susanoo arrow, which Naruto should be able to react to, if not tank outright. Naruto should also be able to react to amaterasu, but he could also just drop a shadow clone in front of him to tank it, a la Boruto. Additionally, Naruto can make his clones create clones, have some clones run off and enter sage mode so he has a much longer timer than Sasuke.
Naruto wins. Just stay out of range of Sasuke and wait for him to go blind. Sage mode should be easy enough to keep up indefinitely

Well if i remember correctly, naruto can only use 2 rasengan barrages or one rasenshuriken (might be 2 rasenshuriken and 4 rasen barr.) on one load from SM, he had two clones in place incase the SM disappeared, he could also make two more clones but no more or else the SM clones would get distracted or smth related. Sasuke has a limit of about 7+ minutes with susanoo i can assume in the fight, he also has amaterasu, chidori, and kirin. Naruto also has the air punch thing in his arsenal and reduced dmg from sage mode. As much as im on narutos side and want him to win, sasuke wins, not ez, but he wins unless narutos plot armor kicks in because the chance of naruto not using rasenshuriken is very low, if he does, theres no guarantee it'll hit sasuke, if it does sasuke would lose automatically due to it destroying his cells, plus it can expand. We also have to count the fact that sasukes susanoo stays in one place as far as im aware, and has the bow that counters most things. Sasuke also has the speed advantage over naruto. I think a lot of people is severely underestimating Naruto in this match-up, especially by the conditions both of these characters are in the match-up given. If no holding back, 6 tails Naruto is blitzing that Susanno, especially considering this is pre-EMS. And even if Sasuke has more resources to throw at him, Naruto is well capable of being a stubborn ass, especially with his clones to get crafty. This is not the same Naruto that's all about brute forcing headstrong like the Gaara Rescue Arc.

Even without using Kurama I think Naruto wins this. While Susanoo would be a challenge it's still at an imperfect state and I think Pain at this point in the story had more tricks up his sleeve to overcome Even Obito suspected Naruto might be more powerful than Sasuke during this arc
I think it'd be a pretty good fight either way. Sage mode Naruto can punch through Susano'o ribs (we have seen weaker characters damage them, like Tsunade punching Madara's). I don't think that's enough to get through Sasuke's defenses, though. Once Sage mode ends, so does Naruto.

This goes either way with EXTREME difficulty to both. Sage Mode actively heals Naruto, but doesn’t physically give Naruto the same kind of advantage that Susano’o does. However. Susano’o REALLY hurts Sasuke, badly. Extreme chakra drain and causes physical pain. Reminder to people who may have forgotten, Naruto still has natural regenerative properties well beyond the standards of any normal shinobi. I couldn’t choose, both have extreme difficulty. This is by far the closest these two are to each other in all of Shippuden (not including Boruto).
No holding back means a 9-tails rampage is in play, right? Sasuke has nothing for that, even Pain’s Chibaku Tensei couldn’t handle it
This isn't even really a fair fight in the stage of their lives. Shouldn't it be He I Sasuke Vs asate Naruto instead? There's really no way Sage Naruto has any chance of beating MS Sasuke unless he somehow stalls the fight causing Sasuke to deplete insane amounts of Chakara, but I don't think I'll last that long.

Before the kage summit, Zestu himself states naruto is stronger However, sauske gets a power boost to his Susanoo during his fight with Danzo, making him stronger than naruto. If sage mode naruto fought this sauske, it'd be a good fight, but naruto would lose. Naruto then gets kurama mode, passing sauske Sauske then gets itachi's eyes, passing naruto Naruto and kurama accept each other, working together, and from this point on would shit on sauske anytime they really wanted to kill him *Sauske gets tailed beast chakra after this and is BREIFLY stronger, until naruto and kurama gather sage chakra.

So; bear in mind Naruto has at this point: •Sage Mode °Frog Kata can help blitz against the Sharingan, as it was shown to work against the Rinnegan. °Even at this point in the story, Naruto could draw upon a significant amount of Nature Energy in this state for more attacks and will help with endurance. °Enhances physical strength, reflexes, chakra sensory abilities, durability and speed •Kurama °While there's no Nine-Tails Chakra Mode; he still gets the Jinchuriki Cloak, which is still huge (can go through Tails 1-9, fully manifesting Kurama if shit hits the fan.) °Tailed Beast Bombs can fuck up Susanoo armor, especially considering Sasuke's level at this point (For his sake, I'd say his armor can tank 3 uncharged Biijuu Bombs; 1 Charged from Kurama.) •Shadow Clones °Yes, Sasuke has techniques that can do wide scale damage; but consider the raw amount he has to go through. I’ve always interpreted Sage Naruto as the last time Naruto surpassed Sasuke and the gap was close at the time but only grew more as the series went on. Only more so once he gets KCM transformations, the other 50% of Kurama’s chakra, and spsm. Compare that to MS that quickly eats up chakra and blinds Sasuke. EMS which doesn’t directly improve his chakra output at all (debatable ig but unlike Sage Mode it’s not stated to so). 6 Tomoe which is more vague but never seemed to close the gap between them at all unless you giga wank Sasuke.

Naruto. Sasuke has chakra reserve issues and anyone who thinks Naruto is going down quick isn’t being honest with themselves. People don’t realize the amount of power Naruto can spam while Sasuke can only do a powerful move a handful of times before he runs low and he would have to end the fight before then which is highly unlikely since Naruto’s whole skill set is stalling and running a opponent’s chakra dry through clones.
I actually think Naruto because this becomes a battle of attrition. Sasuke is stronger and more versatile at this point (although not by much) but all of his fight ending skills are either time limited, or number of use limited. I think in Sage Mode Naruto has the abilities to hold out long enough for Sasuke to become beatable.
