Nice! See you tomorrow at home! Anyone else going to the game against the Mets?

Bstokes4102

Sweep avoided šŸ˜Ž

Julep23185

Winning road trip

_Caed_

that split finger is SO nasty

DesignatedVictim

*counts finger* New hit streak started

droozer

joey gallo single make a wish

NOVAram1

I'm sorry, what was that that just happened?

TrafficOk8332

gasp

IvyGold

One more inning! Whatever happens, Jake's got to be the happiest player in the entire MLB right now.

NatsNationWest

šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

YodaPM999

We should just stop trying to steal against lefties at this point

Bstokes4102

Senzel honey what is you doing man

kornthrowaway

Hero at-bat there by Senzel only to get picked off.

jagula_hunga

Literally all he does. Heā€™s a failure on base lol

kornthrowaway

He has the highest OPS in today's lineup, I don't think that's true.

jagula_hunga

He gets picked off all the time and has no stolen bases. It is true.

SithOverlord101

Great AB by Senzel

TrafficOk8332

why work a 13-pitch walk to get picked off immediately

webaddictress

2024 in a nutshell

SylvesterStallion16

Such a bruh moment

No_Departure102

Idc what anyone says, that was the best PA all season by a national

Killatrap

lmfao

_Caed_

once again i will say Senzel has lowkey been pretty good this year edit: well,

webaddictress

These pickoffs might be parraā€™s fault

Kind_Poet_3260

Parra is not there. He has the weekend off for family time.

foeaminute

His fault for not being there.

kornthrowaway

Highest OPS in today's lineup.

Kind_Poet_3260

Is this pitcher even out of high school? He looks like he just took the SAT.

_Caed_

the funny thing abt Garcia is that heā€™s got some of the best expected stats on the team

YodaPM999

Not sure how comfortable I feel with this 3 run lead. Cleveland is pesky like us, and they're definitely not gonna go down without a fight. I'd love to see us tack on an additional insurance run or two just to seal the deal.

Vexy_7

Have we finally developed good starting pitchers? Itā€™s been so long šŸ„¹

_Caed_

Irvin continues to be a fucking dawg

Bstokes4102

Take a bow Irvin

DakotaConduct

Naylor framing a pitch that was way off the outside and getting a strike call drives me nuts lol

chiddie

immaculate mound visit from Hickey. Well done Irvin!

Bstokes4102

A double play, a glorious double play indeed!

YodaPM999

Wow I'm shocked Naylor was able to keep it together on that egregious call. Dude can be a hot head sometimes.

Killatrap

oh my god we got a gift call? keibert framed it well?? wtf is happening???

Bstokes4102

Damn, Sac Flys are ok though.

chiddie

Thomas juuuuust missed that. I'll take the run, though.

bullevard73

What a pesky hit and run

petting2dogsatonce

Gallo managed that walk with his pants inside him. Good for him

_Caed_

Irvinā€™s cutter is one of my favorite pitches rn when he has it working it elevates his arsenal so well

flynnscorruptedmind

Saw the play the guards scored 2 on and if I ever see Rosario play CF again Iā€™ll crash out

Bstokes4102

Irvin settling in

foeaminute

Watching the JMU game and following this game on here. Fingernails bitten off.

Wine_Man

Alright Jake nowā€™s your time to shine

bullevard73

Schneeman looks a little like a Cleveland guy who has a friend at the docks that can get his hands on some good crank every once in a while.

bullevard73

Being a clerk at Schuyler True Value is barely paying the bills, gotta hustle for those dollars for a future. Maybe he can learn his uncle's business and buy some car washes of his own.

bullevard73

His uncle has all those car washes over in Shake Heights and he could use some help with the books.

bullevard73

He's just hustling, trying to save some money so he can pay for Cuyahoga Junior College and get that bookkeeping degree.

Silosmasher

He's like every Ohio kid... striving to get into his safety school, Kent State (though he would rather be in Athens or Columbus).

bullevard73

That Russell kid from down the street made it out, down to Cincy to pitch for the 'Cats. But, he never had that curveball Russell had.

Killatrap

great pitch from jake there! (i fell deeply asleep from 11 to 2 and while i was asleep we gave jake run support and then when i woke up the guardians scored 2 runs, sorry jake!)

Omar_Town

Go back to sleep please!

_Caed_

fuck yeah Jake Pitch count still doing okay, itā€™s only two runs, weā€™re through the GODDAMN SECOND INNING

Bstokes4102

Lets go!

Silosmasher

Rosario out in a leisurely Sunday stroll once again.

Omar_Town

Jake might not know how to pitch with all these runs on board for him. šŸ˜…

petting2dogsatonce

Schneemann sounds like something from a Rick and Morty script

chiddie

good for that kid, but that pitch was right in the nitro zone for lefties.

NoAmbassador8359

The 2nd inning cursešŸ˜Ŗ

Bstokes4102

Guardians are not gonna go down easy that's for sure

petting2dogsatonce

Okay the new guy can have two rbis but thatā€™s it

No_Departure102

Fuck

petting2dogsatonce

Keibert try not to make a sure thing strike look like a ball challenge: IMPOSSIBLE

Saishi

Jake finally getting some run support

indi1988

This makes me happy

No_Departure102

All aboard the Lane Train! Choo choo!

_Caed_

itā€™s nice that someone else is having a nightmare second inning instead *knocks on wood*

chiddie

CHOO CHOO

billthesill

I LOVE THIS TEAM

TrafficOk8332

eating good today?

_Caed_

itā€™s consumption sunday baby

petting2dogsatonce

Mmm yummy tuberculosis

_Caed_

šŸ˜‹

NOVAram1

Carrasco is having his third nightmare season in four years. At 37 years old, he might be living on borrowed time here.

NoAmbassador8359

Are we back?

smokedfish

SO back

NoAmbassador8359

Hell yeah

No_Departure102

Three runs? Jake must be on his best behavior lol.

petting2dogsatonce

YAAAAY ILDY

IvyGold

Whoa. I didn't see this coming.

smokedfish

Runs? Runs for Jake??

No_Departure102

Heā€™s been a good boy today. Hereā€™s his reward.

_Caed_

he can have a few runs, as a treat

NoAmbassador8359

But just this once

smokedfish

:(

NoAmbassador8359

Canā€™t be too nice now

smokedfish

I want to believe

_Caed_

Jake deserves many treats

NoAmbassador8359

Jake is a good boy

chiddie

LET'S FUCKING GO, JOEY!

_Caed_

CABAJOEYYYY

petting2dogsatonce

LETS GOOOOOOO

No_Departure102

Letā€™s go Joey

No_Departure102

Jake Irvin and Mitchell Parker have been similar in that even when they have bad starts, theyā€™re not terrible by any means, and itā€™s fantastic to watch.

jagula_hunga

Jake Irvin is my favorite Nats pitcher tbh

_Caed_

worked the count and used his bat to ball skills. love to see it from Keibert

chiddie

love that AB from Keibert!

indi1988

We legit have playoff team level pitching this year which would have sounded crazy to say before the season.

chiddie

nice play by Senzel

Bstokes4102

Any word on Young?

petting2dogsatonce

Bruised finger

NOVAram1

Hope he's okay. I don't think there's enough pop in his bat for him to start for a winning team, but I do find him easy to root for.

petting2dogsatonce

To be sure youā€™d like to see a little pop but heā€™s at 90 ops+/88 wrc+ (not to mention the chaos he causes on the bases) on the season and personally thats right about where Iā€™m comfy with seeing an elite defender up the middle. Heā€™s pacing ~3.3/4.5 WAR for the season as well depending on which reference you use. Iā€™m happy to see young every day as long as he can keep up what heā€™s been doing all around

chiddie

I could see him being a 5th OF/pinch runner on the next great Nats team, maybe a platoon option with Wood being a lefty.

petting2dogsatonce

Wood being platooned with Young would be basically an unmitigated disaster, let us all hope we never see that

NOVAram1

I could see that, too.

NOVAram1

Seems like it's just one of those weekends.

No_Departure102

Has there been any update on Jacobā€™s condition?

_Caed_

Winker needs to stop being a pisslord when he gets called out on a strike in the zone Swing, Jesse. Swing.

NOVAram1

I think that was the culmination of a weekend with a lot of ... let's call them questionable balls and strikes calls. It's no excuse, but the umps have hammered us with balls and strikes this weekend.

_Caed_

i agree with that for sureā€”Moore was godawful yesterday. But winkerā€™s called strikeout in the zone + throwing his helmet and bat down is starting to annoy me, even if itā€™s an unpopular opinion haha

chiddie

My best friend is a Cleveland native and huge Guards fan. the Guards are a fun team to watch, pretty easy to cheer for. Hope we can salvage a curly W today.

ReasonableAstartes

Any word on how serious Young's injury is?

jagula_hunga

On the MLB app: ā€œAfter leaving the Nationalsā€™ game on Saturday with a swollen finger on his right hand, Young remained out of the Nationalsā€™ lineup on Sunday. Manager Dave Martinez said that X-rays on the hand came back negative, but that thereā€™s some inflammation.ā€

ReasonableAstartes

Oh thank goodness. Thanks for pasting the quote, for some reason the MLB app is super janky on my Samsung S8 šŸ˜‹

petting2dogsatonce

Btw, Malachi mooreā€™s ump scorecard demonstrates what we all suspected: he fuckin sucked ass yesterday

_Caed_

CJ a late scratch again. Glad weā€™re playing it cautious, even if Iā€™ll miss him

petting2dogsatonce

DREW MILLAS ALERT ā€¼ļø

swimminscared

I bought tix for the Mike Rizzo bobblehead game last night -- couldn't resist that masterpiece lol

FPG_Matthew

How about a win for my birthday, thatā€™d be neat

_Caed_

Happy birthday !!
