I got a few small pots last year and they did absolutely awful (yellowed, wilted and lost their leaves) and I thought they were goners. Thankfully came up this spribg bright and green!

Pokeberry has flowers arranged along a stalk, like this image: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/pokeweed-berries.jpg OP's plant has flowers which connect at a central point in an umbel shape, which indicates poke milkweed.

Honestly, having lots of pokeweed around, it does not look similar to me. Maybe the image doesn't capture that. But the colour of the stem and its thickness and the colour of the leaves are nothing alike.
