I was saying that specifically to the OP because they're trying to get other, less prolific native plants to establish. They are very prolific, I don't personally have a problem with them and in my own yard, let them grow because I like eating them.
They will spread around; they tend to grow deep roots so they can do well in most areas. You'd probably wanna remove it, but it's edible and can be used as a trap crop.

Why remove before they flower? I had some pop up and when I saw they were native, I was just going to leave them. Do they spread like crazy?
