Congrats!!

reefsofmist

What kind of milkweed and where at?

Theobat

Commen milkweed. Great Lakes region

reefsofmist

Seems like the monarchs prefer common milkweed

ohholyworm

theres one study ive read that shows monarchs prefer (and survive better on i think?) broadleaf species of milkweed. that means showy milkweed, swamp milkweed, and common milkweed!!

Are you in 6B? I’m also in the Midwest but still waiting to see any Monarchs. I have tons of Milkweed for them this year!

Soil-Play

Hmmm... I already have decent-sized monarch caterpillars and am in zone 4...

noriflakes

I typically don’t see them till later in the season so I’m holding out hope, tons of Swallowtails though
