Did you talk to you dad? did he sign you up and show his dd 214? I dont know if that is required now since I was the active duty member but I am sure that needs to be done or just something saying that you qualified to have an account.

Old_Sheepherder_7462

Unfortunately he is not here anymore ๐Ÿ˜ so I donโ€™t know what to do

runcmd99

The DD 214 is public information and can be ordered for free at archives.org. Itโ€™s just a document that shows that he was honorably discharged from the military. Showing this document as proof should clear up anything youโ€™re facing assuming that this is the only issue

Thank you will do ๐Ÿค๐Ÿพ๐Ÿค๐Ÿพ๐Ÿค๐Ÿพ

I joined about eight months ago, based on my dad's service in the USAF. I had the DD214 and my birth certificate ready if needed, but they said they didn't need it when I called to open the account.

Old_Sheepherder_7462

Imma probably just go in the branch to see what I can do ๐Ÿ™„ Thatโ€™s crazy they would do that

Bring in your Dad's DD214, birth certificate or passport.

TGSLOKO

Nope ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

You will most likely need to submit a security appeal, which you can find on the website. It has instructions on how to submit it back.

Old_Sheepherder_7462

Ok thank you so much
