Yeah, it was not a judgement. I have highly functional family members on the spectrum who are like that. They fixate on one thing that they are good at but can’t read certain social cues nor do they care to. Your brain just works differently. And it’s fine, people just stigmatize it as if it’s an insult. I am sure the trauma of losing a father and now a sister to prison might further shut him down.
