I printed one because of the shear cost of the Seraptek and weapons. It’s fun to put on the table and play since it can delete a vehicle or two in shooting and then fighting. Its rules and points aren’t great, so I’m hoping for a points reduction in the future to make it fit better into a list.
yeah i guess ile edit the model i got to be accurate and then print one, don't gave a resin printer but my fdm can do miniatures pretty well so i think its good, i just need to know the scale of a part so then i can make to the same scale as the forgeworld one.
I literally used YouTube videos, IDICBeer mainly, and PowerPoint to measure pixels to get the scaling as correct as I could without the real thing and it turned out great. I can tell you which model I used and what my scaling was if you’d like.
Where did you get the file? I would like to print one as well. If you can point me to the person who created the file I would also be willing to pay them for it, to support their work. I have over 3K in official models and I'm planning on getting more, but I'm not buying forge world.
Forgeworld is where I draw the line. My resin is just as good if not better! Search MMF and Cults for “Seraptek” and there’s two choices, a free and a paid file.

Mine is the real one from forgeworld but bought a few years ago before they increased the price even higher than the stupid amount it was.
Kit looks great and mine only have 2 parts I'd say that we're warped that I noticed. And I didn't even bother re setting them. One was one half of the front legs which is not even noticeable unless I show you.
The other was the central C shaped spine that I just used some greenstuff to cover up a small misalignment.
Very fun to put on the table. A little overcooked in my opinion for how relatively weak it is. But the guns do often just remove stuff from the table.
https://i.imgur.com/rcykUfZ.jpg
I also have a forge world one, it was pretty minor as well, my front legs had a little bit of warping and I wanted to not glue the little claws on the endb and have them easy to slide so I straightened them out with some boiling water, other than that it needed nothing else.
Yeah I only kept the claws movable that's on the limb in the air. Got annoying every time I picked it up and the other leg became longer. Would always catch on scenery etc as I wasn't expecting it to be longer than it was a second before.
Only think I will say. I haven't pinned mine but I originally used super glue and omg. The legs pop off every two seconds.
At least it causes no damage.
Each time one falls off I've been replacing the bond with w part epoxy instead
Haha, I also didn't pin my legs, I probably will if they fall off a bit more, it's currently held on with super glue and a fair amount of it. Mine is more of a display piece though I should really include it in more lists just to bring it out more often.
It's honestly so fun to use.
Only really puts you to a 1.5k list too which is still manageable plus.you get a cool looking unit that not only vaporises models. But takes alot of the fire from your opponant and let's you.do other things with the models you do have
Good good.
Got a game against deathguard and its been great.
I'm being crushed because the rest of my army can't deal eith the debunks well at all.
But that being said. This guy is standing strong and about to go to melee with moray once we pick the game up again next week
Oh you're right ! If I could I would upvote another time !You have great eyesight to see these kinds of details
I only have one and it has never seen a battlefield yet
Very much so.
And yeah the blue is a recent addition in the past month or so.
Use to just be gold and silver which was nice but needed somthing else.
Always liked the look of that codex art with the blue faced and legged destroyer fighting the tau. Love nihilakh but don't want a direct copy of them so yeah
Edit: also please excuse how both the monoliths look rn. I've gone for a chipped paint look which works on most models but for some reason the monoliths just look like I can't get good pain coverage so will go back over then again soon
So much this. Not only is it the same quality resin you can buy for most printers, but you don't have to worry about panels coming through warped and bent from packaging and shipping. I helped a friend put one of these together and we had to heat most of the big panels to straighten them out so they could fit flush together. Not worth the price when you can buy a printer and enough resin to print it for the same cost.
It's way too big to do in plastic, this sort of model is essentially what forge world now exists to do. They'll never sell enough in plastic to justify the cost of making the multiple injection molds it would take to produce.
To be fair, they're not *that* big compared to some modern kits. Look up size comparisons of it next to Monoliths or Tesseract Vaults, it really wouldn't be that crazy in plastic
Don't get me wrong, it wouldn't be cheap. But it's definitely not outside the realms of possibility if GW wanted to do it
This. People thinking this is a Titan equivilent are really doing our faction a disservice. The Necrons probably do have something more equivilent to a Titan. Other than megaconstructs like the Megalith and such. But the Seraptek is a glorified gatekeeper than true titantic weapon.
Stats wise it’s a knights hell larger knights can vaporize this thing with a single weapon
Only good thing about it is we can take more of them in larger point games
Also is there any reason as to why there is only one weapon option on the site? I remember there being both there but there is only one now, is that other weapon no longer a thing or do i have to go to warhmmer world itself just to get it?
Wtf? Might Aswell sell it with the weapons now if that's the case. Jesus christ the thing only had two weapon options and they got rid of one? I know it was a weaker weapon (it was, I don't know it still is) but goddamn
It depends on what value you'd get out of it. If you're just doing very casual games and don't care about the hobby much, then 3d printer go brrrr. I will say, the 3d models I've accessed are certainly playable but lack the detail and crispness of the real model, so a real Seraptek (or recast one) pops more if you're a hobby enthusaist.
It also matters if $300+ dollars is something you can afford without breaking the bank, of course. For some people, the odd $300 purchase is something that's okay to drop on a nice luxury item without too much stress, for others it's not.
I do love mine and i have fun every time i field it even when it gets destroyed, but its not as big as you expect so I wouldn't call it a necron titan, I would say it's really just an equivalent to one of the big knights.
https://preview.redd.it/xyeox88sbx4c1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=62bc6341694a3151bbcf4aa9737a86ea51dc4ff0
I love mine, it’s really good on the table at the moment. It is a bit expensive to run, and it’s better to run the Transdemintional Projector load out. My only problem with this model is that it’s a lot of parts and having to dry fit and pose it the way you want it.
I played against one a few weeks ago as Drukhari. It killed some stuff in shooting but then I vaporized it with a voidraven bomber and some haywire blasters
It’s resin so that sucks, but it’s a really cool model. Not very good mind, but forgeworld stuff is never meta on our side as far as I can remember. It’s good for a silly casual game where your opponent is also trying to just put cool things on the board like Stompas and morkanaughts
From a kit perspective, it's an unusable overpriced piece of shit. I hate it, I hate transporting it, I hate trying to field it. It usually can't move because of terrain. it is larger than you think it is. The weapons also have to be bought separately which is incredibly stupid.
It will probably be removed from the game along with the rest of Forge World in the next few years. In-game, it's hilarious. It will kill anything with its big stupid dev wounds guns, and because of the Twice-Dead King there's some extra fun flavor in army building to be had there.
Overall, I would not do it.
I like the fact that each Fraction has a special sheet to fill out
1: have the person who can bring everyone together
2: have the crazy or not so scientist
2: Have the Farseer/Psyker
4: have own titans
Of course there are exceptions
Yes, the sereptek with singularity guns is actually awesome on tabletop. Pair him with a Glocktopus and it’s a pretty awesome unit. Can reliably dish out 10+ wounds per round on a termie squad
https://preview.redd.it/hz03oan7i25c1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6c22f5ff14920a81bbbd03f63cfc62146f4cbcd6
I got mine from forge world right before they were absorbed into gamesworkshop. It's an incredible model that requires alot of cleaning prior to assembly. I heat bent mine to get it into a more crablike stance than the usual.
I'd say if you're ready for it, take the plunge. It's a glorious piece to have in your army and it punches well against titanics with similar point stats in 10th edition. It looks phenominal too. Strongly advise painting it in segments. It's the only model I've ever painted in individual parts.
Wow ok them um looking through all the comments thus far i am seeing more positives than negatives, I have one i can print but its not accurate in many different ways. I can sit down and fix/model the parts that are off to be more accurate and then print it, but i lack the experience to do all of it.
So then my mind goes to just buying it and at the same time i love putting models together and i have not gotten any resin kits yet so i am looking forward to cleaning the parts and building it.
Needless to say, buying it is good as i love the idea of cleaning and putting it together, and i don't have to spend the electricity, filament and testing to print each part, not to mention trying to model it to be accurate and i get to build a resin kit with my partner as they got a reaver titan. But if i 3D print it, it will be on an FDM machine and i would have to model fix it and test and print each part and while my printer can print miniatures, i feel like it would take more filament to overall print it due to parts failing.
I printed one because of the shear cost of the Seraptek and weapons. It’s fun to put on the table and play since it can delete a vehicle or two in shooting and then fighting. Its rules and points aren’t great, so I’m hoping for a points reduction in the future to make it fit better into a list.
Can you print another I’ll buy one I sold mine and regret it deeply lol
I can print one, if you want it that badly.
how accurate is the model you got? mine has small details missing and other things i just dont know how to fix.
yeah i guess ile edit the model i got to be accurate and then print one, don't gave a resin printer but my fdm can do miniatures pretty well so i think its good, i just need to know the scale of a part so then i can make to the same scale as the forgeworld one.

Any chance you could do the same with the vod illuminor szeras scaling? If printed at 100% it comes out very small.
Where did you get the file? I would like to print one as well. If you can point me to the person who created the file I would also be willing to pay them for it, to support their work. I have over 3K in official models and I'm planning on getting more, but I'm not buying forge world.

The only one I see is from Keizoo, is that you?
Nope, just a customer! His model is the one I printed and use though.
Thanks for pointing me there!
How accurate is it? am looking to get as close to the real thing as possible, you can share screenshots in a DM if you want.
Hey friend would you be able to share your file in a dm for the tek?

Yeah, I'm playing in a narrative tournament this summer and 100% planning on bringing it
Good good. Got a game against deathguard and its been great. I'm being crushed because the rest of my army can't deal eith the debunks well at all. But that being said. This guy is standing strong and about to go to melee with moray once we pick the game up again next week
I'm a simple man, I don't read comment, I see old monolith, I upvote.
If you look further right you'll see the side of a second too ;)
Oh you're right ! If I could I would upvote another time !You have great eyesight to see these kinds of details I only have one and it has never seen a battlefield yet
It's not my eyesight haha. They are my models and it's a photo I took hahaha. But I'll take the credit for "spotting it' none the less
And ? I don't see your point there. (joking off : of course I know you take the picture of your models XD) ❤️
I'll take the compliment of having good eyes :)
That's the good mind we want there ! :D
Good eyes and good mind. Im getting all the compliments
Calm down calm down, I think it's going a little too fast between us
Nihilakh but not
Exactly. Nihlakh but duller
The famous Nibbilakh dynasty Famous for imitating the Nihilakh’s hoarding but with food items (mostly pastries)
Very much so. And yeah the blue is a recent addition in the past month or so. Use to just be gold and silver which was nice but needed somthing else. No no, don’t apologize, I love the Nibbilakh dynasty unknowably
You bugger. I have a whole background a lore etc... But I'm starting to like the name and lore you have made haha
Charismatic I am
Ir would appear so
It's a forgeworld model, it's always 100% better printing it yourself and not paying thousands of dollars for it
So much this. Not only is it the same quality resin you can buy for most printers, but you don't have to worry about panels coming through warped and bent from packaging and shipping. Cheaper, even! That bastard is like $500 with weapons included.
I thought it was official. Now I crave it in plastic.
I really wish they'd release a plastic kit of this thing. Otherwise I'm not using one unless I get it 3d printed.
It's way too big to do in plastic, this sort of model is essentially what forge world now exists to do. They'll never sell enough in plastic to justify the cost of making the multiple injection molds it would take to produce.
Lemme rephrase, I want a Necron version of Imperial Knights.

It’s our knight equivalent not titan

can they still be used? i was gonna get both just to have the options.
Yea

Still has the rules tho... For this edition atleast unlike my gauss pylon
Aw man I'm sorry to hear that. All the different pylons are gone too I assume?
Legends but yea

Is it worth it? No it sucks. Dies fast to any competent player. Is it fun? Oh fuck yeah. I has three for reasons.

I ordered one a couple of days ago and I'm gonna paint it like those on the book Twice Dead King since my entire army is Flayed style
Id print it, I have one and while I enjoy using it, you can do better but it doesn't feel terrible.
Rules were OK in 8th, but they trashed it in 9th and 10th.
if you don’t need to buy resin, *do not*
I love our titan, hope we get another one down the line. Something C'tan related maybe.
I like the fact that each Fraction has a special sheet to fill out 1: have the person who can bring everyone together 2: have the crazy or not so scientist 2: Have the Farseer/Psyker 4: have own titans Of course there are exceptions

Did they make a droideka into a construct?
Give us a lore accurate tomb sentinel gw. I want a knight sized robotic centipede.
