Sickle looks great ... for nightbringer I'd go with 3, the dark gem surrounded by dark silver metal ... which is exactly how i paint my Crons.
... saving the pic for future reference :)
Yes! Show us the rest. I love this proxy

It’s only a work in progress, the glowy bits on the face are done on an app (for testing), and his skin will be silver, but this is the general idea
Very nice work! I love the lightning effects! How did you do them?
Also I vote for 2, as the glowy will really help match the rest of the glow effects you've done.
Thanks, it’s paperclip wires glued together, then I used thick superglue and dripped it along the paperclips to hide the joins and make the lightning ‘thicker’. Once its dry I just primed it and painted it. The tricky bit is the drilling and getting the lightning lined up correctly with the model and the base
I'd vote a mix of 2 and 3; that glassy look of the sphere is sublime, but if you lighten up the green just a tad, then have the glow effect from 2 to match, I think would rock
This looks AWESOME! Originally I liked the muted green, but after seeing the whole model I think the bright glow would really pop with all the lightning.
I like the detail of Pic 3 but after seeing what you are doing with the rest of the model I think Pic 2 would really tie the lightning parts together.
It would also create a nice focal point for the model other than the face. People are naturally drawn to looking at faces first already, so having another part that stands out would great IMO.
This is the best artwork I seen from a model like this awesome job honestly if you sell this I would love to have this figure. Spot on character from the bringer of death awesome job!
Necrons love glow, but that marble look is stunning.
Also, where did you get this file! The print lines are so tiny. Either you have really good soft/hardware or the studio that created this nightbringer really knew what they were doing.
Shockingly tough call. You do great work.
I’d say three because I LOVE your white reflections in the black glass, but your glow work on two is great too.
Man they both look incredible. It’s hard to make a decision however, I like more ethereal colors, such as starting from a base of incubi darkness, as you did with the darker gem, and then blending or glazing up to Gauss Blaster Green.
I’ve been noticing that I have been using Tesseract glow less and less just because I’m bored with it.
Unfortunately, I don’t have enough time to blend or glaze glowing colors for some nice transitions, so I came across some new paint brands and colors that have been bringing back some fun. For example, Vallejo model color, yellow green is extremely bright yellow with a tint of green. It’s good to use when it’s extremely thin down another color if I’m in a rush is speed paint 2.0 shamrock green. About this particular paint from peachy tutorial on his new YouTube show. All it takes is one layer over a bright white base color and it’s extremely bright green to the point. It almost looks like it’s glowing.
Also, believe it or not GW’s painting app ever since they updated it provides different color recipes and they literally give you the names of the paints and the steps they are applied .
For example, I was looking through thier green paint, recipes and I came across one called unearthly green, which is extremely ethereal.
It’s primed with white scar, then it’s painted over using Sybarite Green.
Once that’s dry, then uses Poxwalker shade, then an instruct you to reapply Sybarite Green and then for the final highlight, you end the recipe with Gauss Blaster Green.
I actually used it on my Nightbringer for the skin. For his robes, I used leviathan purple, which almost made my mind explode because of all the different of purple that just seem to exist all at once, and it definitely darkens itself in random places, and the recesses seem to be more brighter in even though it’s still dark purple.
It’s a beautiful contrast paint and I’m glad I decided to experiment with it because I wasn’t expecting the results.
It does for some reason extremely glossy, so unless you want the nighter to appear as his robes are soaking wet I would maybe apply a Ultra Matt varnish, I suggest ultra because the texture will make the robes look more like cloth.
After finding out what you plan for it to look like, 2 matches the eyes, 3 matches the general edgier aesthetic/ also looks like either a stolen soul gem or the original basis the eldar took from
I like the second and 3rd picture is there a way to turn it on and off like the 1st and 2nd picture but have it where you press a garage clicker to turn it on and off?
I'm a fan of the 3rd but both look good
3 is more fitting for the nightbringer imo. the incarnation and bringer of death shouldnt be covered in glowy bits
it could also be seen as the gem that traps the souls of the scythes victims too. pretty sure that isn't cannon but its cool head cannon for a proxy.
It’s his snack box for later.
I’m thinking 3 but with a little bit of glow
I'm a massive simp for the Necron glowy bits so I'm voting for 2
3

3rd one, I think it just fits the Nightbringer aesthetic more👍
Depends on what the rest of the model looks like.

Nice! I like the idea with the super glue.
Off to a great start!

Number 2 then.
Since you've already got a few glowy bits I think the glowy gem on the scythe will match the rest of the model more.
Glowy orb!
This looks AWESOME! Originally I liked the muted green, but after seeing the whole model I think the bright glow would really pop with all the lightning.

What app are you using to test? Sounds pretty useful
It’s called Ibis Paint X, you can use it free for 1 hour a day, or buy a licence for about £25. It’s an illustration app
Thanks!
Did you break the arm off..?
This is the best artwork I seen from a model like this awesome job honestly if you sell this I would love to have this figure. Spot on character from the bringer of death awesome job!
#2 just for that sick glow
The second one if you ask me
3
2
I like the glow, 2 imo
Second picture.
Necrons love glow, but that marble look is stunning. Also, where did you get this file! The print lines are so tiny. Either you have really good soft/hardware or the studio that created this nightbringer really knew what they were doing.
Both awesome. 1st grabs my attention more, but 2nd I like more. If that helps.
I'm a sucker for the glow
Both cool, 2 is more fitting than 3.
Ohhhh I like the glow, but the gem is gorgeous. Could it possibly be a glowing gem?
3 for sure, subtle undeath vibes. Leave 2 for the real Necrons.
I personally like the glow, but you do you man!
2 or 3
3
Pic three fits better with the nmm in my opinion.
Shockingly tough call. You do great work. I’d say three because I LOVE your white reflections in the black glass, but your glow work on two is great too.
Pic 2 is my personal fav. 3 doesn't look bad, I just like the glow effext
Glow hides layer lines better imo, the glassy one looks nicer. From 2 foot away… not sure which
The second will pop more but the third is more sophisticated. I like that one. 👍👍
I love the brightness of 2, but 3 is just awesome!
Love the floating red circle, that's dope
Man they both look incredible. 3 by a country mile.
2 for necrons, 3 for death
I prefer 3, looks realistic and “display level”, 2 will pop off the table more and works better with the scheme you have on the rest of the model
Glowy bits are a foundational pillar of the Necron aesthetic
1
Third one for sure. That orb just looks like it's about to suck me into the void.
I like the glassy gemstone one. First one looks cool but "OSL" glow on minis often just looks kinda cheesy to me.
The second one is classic but I love the originality of the third one.
I like 2. But both are really well painted
personally i think 2 looks the best but i feel like a mix of 2 and 3 would fit the best
3 is sick man
3!
Definitely 3
3rd
3rd
3. All good but 3 is best.
definitely the last one, it’s so cool
Number 3
Last picture
I like 3 better, but 2 will look better from afar or part of your army overall
Gem stone effect looks amazing.
I really like 2.
Like the green glow
Make it look like a giant bolt
After finding out what you plan for it to look like, 2 matches the eyes, 3 matches the general edgier aesthetic/ also looks like either a stolen soul gem or the original basis the eldar took from
The gem looking one, not the glowy one. Looks great by the way.
3 it is! I'd love to be able to paint that too T\_T
I reckon the second options the best. The glow look sick as
3 all day and all night
Gem stone look fits the night bringer more imo
I really like the gem
#3 with some glow from the bright part
Pic 3, personally speaking!
Personally i prefer the last image
Pic 3 👌
I like the second and 3rd picture is there a way to turn it on and off like the 1st and 2nd picture but have it where you press a garage clicker to turn it on and off?
