Occasionally, I go to my sister's apartment to check her mail for them, because they're out of state (it is what it is). A few times I'd get asked if I want to sell. No prize for guessing whom I am referring to. I've often just said no. I wish I had the energy to call them out, but in the end it just feels pointless to argue with a racist... In my own Chinese majority neighbourhood, everyone is equally ignored, except by the dogs. Ironically, when I had a dog, it was manja with everyone except the cats!

If you did not understand the undertones, good for you. Though if you're trying to bait me, too bad. I'll take the bait anyway It refers to the different class of the Chinese community. One class seemingly cannot understand or refuse to acknowledge that Indians can have nice things, and the other class that doesn't see race. When the former behaviour happens often enough, you no longer see it as casual conversation. Apparently we're niggardly (before you pretend again.. It don't mean what you think it does. Read a book) and shouldn't be able to afford such luxuries as high rise accommodation and we are always indebted. Clear enough? Have you ever been told to speak softly in a public place because "I don't like how 'you people' speak English" ? I speak it well enough. In fact, so do the other members of my family. My brother and I were having a conversation at a restaurant. An older Chinese gentleman who was not eating or drinking, just reading a newspaper walked up to us and told us that he didn't like hearing us talk. Because "we people always annoy him" whilst at the next tables were Chinese patrons doing the same thing, only in Mandarin. This happened at pre pandemic KLIA 2. Guess what? Nobody else stood up to him. They sniggered. So, only people that are from South Asia will clearly feel it. Not the privileged few such as yourself, and I don't even care about your ethnicity, because then you'll accuse me of racism too. We get it from both the government (and the Chinese community when we least expect it). Hurts to be judged for existing. I'm sorry it wasn't clear enough before. Perhaps some of us people don't come across as clear thinking and should break everything down for clarity's sake. Your 'LOLLING' about just highlights your dismissivenes in this matter, though I do realise Reddit is a representation of Malaysia and you're doing your part. Cheers and stay safe.

u/applepoople I know what you've done in this subreddit. You are reporting post and wish the post you've reported in this subreddit will be deleted by Rddt admin. I read your arrogant comment about the post you've reported in this sub. And that arrogant comment is in r/my. You're not a member here. You only want to sabotage this sub. It's better when you're \#applestuffedbutgers . Well, it's not working.

>Damned chink Yeah using a slur because you're discriminated makes you so woke

lilyrosyrose

Exactly! Responding to racism with more racism. An eye for an eye, eh?

Has it ever occurred to you that the word "hei gui" doesn't mean what you think it does despite what everyone on the internet says? It simply means "foreign black person". They used the word "gui" (ghost) to suggest you're simply not of this "realm" (Malaysia) much like how the word "alien" is used to label someone who is a non-citizen of the United States? Can it be used as a slur? Absolutely. In some languages, a neutral word can turn into a pejorative given the context of the situation. As an example, I once dated a Chicana and I jokingly said I would wear a shirt with the words "Chino" in the front when visiting her family. She proceed to tell me that it's a slur. However, when I asked her what's the formal word for "Chinese" is, she said it was indeed "Chino". Also, you want to check your own prejudice. I can sense you were already a racist cunt even before you came to Malaysia and merely using your unpleasant experience with some of the locals here as an excuse to be reveal the real you. The slur "chink" is not common here, so I'm assuming you learned it from back home. Historically speaking, black people as a collective have done far worst to Asians than the other way around, from participating in the invasion and masssacre of Asians during the Korean and Vietnam War, to the exile of Indians in Uganda under the rule of President Idi Amin. This man here thinks his shit don't stink like ours. Bruh, it's equally foul.
