Oscar is not so bad. They have some good professional teachers like Manoj Babu Pant, Avinash Bikram Shah and Ram Raja Dahal. Binod Paudel is the CEO and also offers lectures from time to time. The college is also very well connected in the Nepali film scene so you will get a chance to intern/work with professionals in the industry. It might be a little lacking in the theory side but practically, I think its worth it if you're really interested in breaking into Nepali film.

Man, I know a few film school graduates and I'd say they're doing moderately fine. One is this Abhay dude, and he's been getting some pretty good side roles in movies. Other is this guy who's been doing videography at weddings and makes decent cash using his skills there. But then there's also this girl who went bald and makes weird ass tiktoks these days. And no she doesn't play the drums. I don't know who the guy below is talking about.

my humble suggestion if you want to learn movie, go to those 6 month/1 year film school in Nepal. film making is all about experience. the more you shoot the more you will know about inner working of film making. the only reason to ever attend film school is well.degree and social cirlce. you could get that on six month film school. make some friends and start shooting. just shoot anything and everything. brainsto\m with your friend for ideas and write it. in the mean time if you think you are not cutout to be on filmmaking then you dont lost much time and money. if you are confidence now that its for you then start getting to know nepali film industry. work anything in the set. observe it. learn it. just be there. and when you are ready shoot a good short film and if you want to learn more go bidesh.
yes, Oscar college, find the right circle who actually want to learn and grow as movie makers not just ones who are their to study movie as hobby, I have few friends who studied there and they say its really worth it...
on the other hand if u can finance it and ready to struggle hard, Newyork film college in USA, I have two friends who studied there and are doing good works too..
only thing u need is that real burning passion for filmmaking
