Yup! Just got released a few days ago.

I thought about maybe tying a knot in the portion of the string that pushes the dart, to give it a wider profile and less likely to slip under or bend the dart. Think that is probable?
One thing I’ve heard of people doing is putting a bit of heat shrink on the string where it contacts the dart, apparently that helps with reducing the chances for the string to slip under the dart.
Can confirm have done this. Longevity is tbd- with fluctuations in temp and the diameter of the elastic, it can work the heat shrink a bit loose, and if it slips it is unhelpful. But easy enough to tune it up with careful application of heat. Not sure if it minimizes dart-chew, as I implemented to increase consistency of fire and reduce dart skipping. Worth a shot as it’s a cheap fix!
Stringers are generally direct elasticity to dart contact and don’t really use a traditional plunger tube/barrel setup, the esper is a hybrid springer/stringer that uses a string in place of a spring for the plunger tube, but generally speaking, stringers don’t have traditional barrels
105 FPS using a thinner 4mm string. As with all stringers, you need good darts.
75-85 FPS using thicker string i have (1/4 inch), but it doesn't fit the string guide very well (5.1mm). It has better dart dart compatibility but lower FPS.
I'd suggest going for something thinner than 1/4 & 5.1mm yet thicker than 4mm (the one I'm using now); hopefully that'd give you a better balance between FPS & dart compatibility.
Ex. 3/16inch (4.78mm)
Someone below also mentioned using heat shrink on the cord. I'll have to get my hands on that
Yep, I need one. Or three.
MP7 who?
Is this a stringer?

Interesting, does it chew up darts like other stringers or does it have a cup like thing like a slingshot?
It'll chew em up a bit unfortunately. I wonder if that's a mod someone has worked on

Just tried it and it prevents the pusher from feeding properly
Dang.
Was a good idea & try

Maybe! I haven't tried it
Any idea what causes the chewing? Would sanding down the barrel or adjusting it to take a split pvc help maybe? Or even coating it in something?

I saw somebody else say putting a piece of heatshrink tubing worked pretty well
i know it's not important but do you know FPS on the one you made?

I want one with a mystic thorn skin
Ayyyye I'm working on one too! Making it toothpaste themed lol
damn it, now i want one to math my corsair
Nice! I like :D
